  1. Well, this is the perfect example of how films can NEVER please everyone. Group of fans: "Why are all these ship designs being re-used?! Come ON, start thinking of new designs and start being original!" *New designs* Other group of fans: "I'm so sick of all these new designs! You've used up your creativity, stop being so retro!" ....anyway....I'd say that ship is pretty much guaranteed to be a set in this first wave now if other toy companies are making products from it; looks pretty cool.
  2. Funny how I see pretty much unanimous love for this thing on the Star Wars pages and the LEGO post on FB and then when I go to the major fans in the LEGO Forum it is much more divisive. That joke about how "The people who hate Star Wars the most are Star Wars fans" seems to apply to LEGO as well, evidently.
  3. yaaaayy the site crashed and i missed my window yayyyyy sorry for being so ridiculously slow on the images....this site of ours is either great or terrible, no inbetween. guess what side it fell on today
  4. Ugh sorry guys, first Images sent in were from other themes - Star Wars hasn't come through just yet, it's all LEGO Batman. I'll post them here as soon as I physically can
  5. Slight Images delay - of course it takes a few mins to physically get in the door
  6. Nah me and Albert are separate guys. He's the regular news update man, I'm the guy who does spontaneous news updates when he's not available and also some more in-depth analysis/opinion piece articles. expect pictures to start flowing in in approximately 1hr 30 mins.
  7. Welp, we get plenty of entertainment from those films, so bring them on as far as I'm concerned :D
  8. Here's the blog: http://brickshow.com/ just keep an eye on that. The Star Wars pictures should come first, if not they won't be far behind. I'll post the link of the specific article with the images on once it's posted. Literally just now got a reply from Jason too. Images will start to appear at 7am EST / 12:00am (midday) GMT
  9. Alright guys, I've spoken to Jason (The Brick Show guy). He'll be sending me photos of all the sets from NY Toy Fair (not just Star Wars but it'll be among them), and as soon as I get them I'll post them over on our blog. I'll ask him later when specifically the doors open so I know exactly what time we'll start posting.
  10. Are we really at the stage in human progression and evolution that we start bitching about the design of the cardboard that holds our products.
  11. Wasn't trying to suggest we would get TLJ images at Toy Fair but there's a fair chance we'll see them before the September release - after all, we got Rogue One leaks in May/June, and TFA leaks in August. My point moreso was that we'll have a steady feed of images and rumours to keep ourselves from tearing one another's throat out over a rumoured spherical UCS set ;D
  12. Dear Lord some people are being very passive aggressive here. Just have to say the vaguest of rumours (e.g just mentioning the word 'sphere') and suddenly everyone loses their minds. Chill out guys! Speculate about it, sure, but I'm seeing plenty people being really snarky and unnecessarily abrupt with people, just chill, that set could be anything... we'll get Toy Fair pictures next Sunday from NY to tie us over, then hopefully TLJ Images a bit after that.
  13. Can you show us the image?
  14. That advent calendar looks brilliant! great to get a FO Stormie and Snowie for the first time, good to see the sequel trilogy stuff. That Imperial officer is a really good inclusion too what with their rarity outside of expensive sets.
  15. Well, based on last year, clear images of The Summer releases and whatever UCS set is planned to come out mid year. Last year Jason sent me images of every set, including UCS Hoth, except for that Rebel Combat Frigate (guessing Exclsuvies aren't shown). as for Ep VIII Stuff, just be patient. We didn't get any images of any sorts until about April last year. Not to mention we haven't received a single official image or piece of marketing for Ep VIII yet.
  16. Whilst sets are normally on display at London Toy Fair, we don't normally get images from there as they normally aren't allowed to be taken. New York Toy Fair, February 19th will give us images for sure. Jason will send some pictures my way as soon as the doors open and we'll post em online. Then FBTB tend to have better close-ups online a few hours later. So on Feb. 19 it'll likely go: -The Brick Show for clear images of the whole set straight away. -FBTB With close-ups (minifigures and such) later that day.
  17. (Really, REALLY minor spoiler warning) Anyone else catch that new TIE variant that carries the death Troopers? that might show up perhaps.
  18. I concur, there's not an awful lot left after these first waves, especially not to accommodate Saw. Is there a rebel base set still on the horizon or is that officially retconned now that the A-Wing is out? Because that seems like the only plausible opportunity for more sets. On another note, the sets are now available on preorder for Amazon Prime in the UK for guaranteed delivery tomorrow :)
  19. So, since all the January sets are now releasing on 16th December 2016....do they technically belong in this topic now?
  20. Oh for God's sake. Why are you even here then? What on earth does this add to the discussion of 2017 Set PICTURES and RUMOURS. All you're doing is telling us about when you stopped collecting and how annoying prices are. So what?! I'm sick of people coming on here JUST FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE of slamming Lego! Nothing to do with the topic at all! Yes I get that negative opinions should be allowed and it's the natural progression of the topic (which is fair enough), and that it's apparently North Korea in here for disproving of highly negative views or something, but come ON. In the same way that we'd probably all raise an eyebrow if some troll was on here going "THESE SETS ARE AMAZZZIINNNNG AAAAH OMG OMG OMG LEGO IS BAE" every 5 seconds, it's equally aggrivating when people just repeat the same old opinions every 5 minutes! Yes I think opinions should be allowed here as it is indeed the natural progression of discussion, but as far as I'M concerned (someone who's was recently timed out for being off topic), this is just plain aggravating.... My formal apologies to the admins for straying off the subject, but I thought this was necessary to bring discussions back on topic.
  21. Haha yeah "C'mon lads it's January 1st get those sets in the chipper!" "but sir we still have 500,000 on the shelv--" "Quiet Phil or you'll be in there next!"
  22. Ok, so apparently ALL of the new sets come out on Dec. 16th in the U.K...(just checked the A-Wing and Phantom and they've changed to Dec 16 from Jan 1 yesterday). Very weird...I'm actually kinda annoyed if this is true since I have a buying ban on for December due to Christmas, and it makes it less special on January 1st when the sets aren't brand new but 2 weeks old. Back on topic, anyone else noticed that the box-art image for 75171 calls the shoretroopers "Scarif Stormtroopers"? Weird that they're called that since the one from the Striker is named correctly, and it's not as if it's done to differentiate the two variants (since that same set also gives us a new Cassian/Jyn with the same name as in the U-Wing...)
  23. Yeah, dark blue's what I meant.
  24. Oi, don't get all smug and cocky with me. I never mentioned OT in my original statement and besides, that's only 3/9 SW films. There's 6 more out there that are getting sets, and 3 of those have gotten original products this wave (RO, PM, CW) plus an original set from the tv show. If it's just OT sets you care about that's fine, but you haven't helped me to understand (quote - "I also don't understand...") your view, you've just made yourself seem arrogant. baxk on topic, the images do vary in how black/grey/blue those stormie vents are, but Brick Ministry's reviews seem to show them as blue.
