  1. Strongly agree as well. It's hard to top the blue, white and trans neon orange of ice planet. Any new space set needs strong color individuality, I use ice planet 2k2 because for me that was the perfect series that had everything a lot of sets lacked; it had a big base, a big flying ship, great smaller vehicles.... and for the mini figs; trans neon skis! And chainsaw! and never seen before visor! It may have also been one of the first space sets out of the gate to not use the conventional smiling lego face (not that there is anything wrong with that) and have 2 men characters and a woman. I also like how they had a story with lots of room to imagine. We knew knew they were scientists that were more or less to themselves studying rockets but blacktron 2 and spyrius were always there lurking in the shadows trying to steal tech from them. It was cool how that plugged in and by virtue so did space police.
  2. I will get there pretty soon. Probably well before the half dozen more bricklink orders lol.
  3. Thanks guys! I am from Richmond Hill (just a bit north of Toronto). Looking forward to posting some of my stuff!
  4. I am currently working on some wall art (which I will post when it is done) which consists of 2 of every space minifig (including all droids) from year 2000 back to the beginning. Please feel free to send me a message or post here if you are looking for any minifig related pics. I am about 2 weeks away from having all of them.
  5. That is really cool. I think that was one of the first lego sets (if not first) I ever got as a kid, so to see it redone M-Tron style is really great- especially since the M-Tron colors are so eye popping.
  6. Hello all from Ontario, Canada. I wish I could say my first post was done while I am not sick with a flew in bed, but hey, it happens. Figured I would join up thanks to my rekindled love for Lego- for me it was a combination of the Lego movie and a chat I had a bit over a year ago over drinks with my boss one night (he is a Lego fan as well that goes back to the early 70s). The final straw that pushed me to join was a Google search of big classic space sets (for me that is 1990-2005). How can one not love the colors and creativity of Space Police 1 and 2, Ice Planet 2k2, blacktron 1 and 2, etc. The work I have seen posted here is amazing, there is some unreal tallent, and I figured doing some reading and looking would probably help my MOCs out a bit, which I will post elsewhere. Anyway, that's all for now. Mitch
