How could The Lego Company Improve itself?
The Middleman replied to Mister Phes's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I think that a tank, a bomber, a fighter, a base, and a jeep wouldn't be too bad. Once you start getting into things like turrets and anti-aircraft guns, that's a bit too far, but the basics would be pretty good. -
Official LEGO Company Survey

I have a feeling LEGO is kind of waking up - we're getting good lines and they're realizing their mistakes. -
What theme/sets do you want to see Lego sell?
The Middleman replied to little-green-man's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Pirate Ninja Greek Roman Egyptian Viking City That's all. -
Why is LEGO so stingy with their mini-figures?
The Middleman replied to Mister Phes's topic in General LEGO Discussion
And I, of course, a clone army. Then a Viking army when they're out. :-D -
Give them little tambourines!

I have plenty of castle stuff I'm willing to trade, but I'm mainly looking for Star Wars figures - got any of those?

Molarlistic? Something to do with teeth? :P And maybe the person who bought it had recently donated millions to charity!

So basically you hate the wings. ;)

Ah, yes...a wonderful little set. I am the proud owner of seven such sets! *satis* Although, I have to say, in my misguided youth, I...uh....painted a few of these figs. *sobs* Ah well, I still have about thirty or so left. I've got 2 or 3 (3rd incomplete) sets myself in the garage with the yellow castle and 2 knight's tournament/joust sets in a box somewere in the garage. These were my first castle sets I purchased in Germany before they were available in the US. In fact, one of the shields of the knight's tournament set is inverted (meaning the colors are crossed (brown/beige)) opposite of the emblem on the knight's chest - if that makes sense. That's got to be extremely rare - I wonder how much they're worth! :oo

Well, I read a book where Luminari was one of the main characters, so I've always sort of known how she looks. I don't even know who the other two ARE. *wacko*

Official LEGO Company Survey

Well, that's because LUGNET is comprised mainly of adults - there's an entrance fee. Not that that weeds out the bad apples... they have way more problems over there - corrupt moderators, etc. ;) -

One of the best things about Lego is that it's stayed away from War and Military (with some historic exceptions). Sure I like tanks, forts, and soldiers, but Lego has always been above this- may be their philosophy. Kids are exposed to enough violence and war and now that I'm older and wiser, I'd like to see less of it (esp in toys). So things like GI Joe and toy soldiers are taboo? I'm all for a LEGO military theme, but no nationalities - just generic weaponry/vehicles. -
Heard it was bad. Today I'm going to see Millions, though, and tomorrow The Interpreter, and Saturday Kung Fu Hustle. MOVIE WEEK! :-D All three are supposed to be great movies.

A few posts above in this thread, he said: ' Three of five 12" were released on Apr 2: Grievous, a Clone Trooper, and Darth Sidious. Grievous is probably the best of the figs (although the Clone Trooper is nice too). I believe two more figs were released but I haven't found them yet. They sell fast and stores only get a few of each at any one time. ' So it sounds like he has Grievous.

Official LEGO Company Survey
The Middleman replied to Mister Phes's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Hey, maybe if we get enough replies here we can submit this to them as well. Here are mine: * Would you buy LEGO toys for children 0-11? Y/N Of course! * Why / Why not? LEGO is a toy for all ages, but ESPECIALLY for children. It promotes creativity and develops motor skills. * What feature(s) would you add if you were the marketing director of LEGO? I would add more electronic features such as motors and lights, but NOT electronic features that are irremovable (i.e. light-up lightsabers). * How would you change existing LEGO products if you wanted to sell them for more money? Lessen the <insert that tiresome argument> pieces. * What new products would you launch? I would launch Vikings in the US, continue the historical line with Greeks, Romans, Egyptians, and Japanese (ideally a new wave of Ninja sets). I would create more storyteller Star Wars sets from all the episodes, each with a trooper or two. Also, a new wave of Pirate sets. * What should LEGO be doing that it isn -

Yes. -
Bloody Jay, consider this as a warning! DO NOT POST OFF TOPIC THINGS! We are handling guys like you very strictly here, and you are definitivly on VERY thin ice here! :P If you're trying to control off-topic posts in THIS forum, that's quite a task. I merely asked because I figured Brickster might have it, and I'm interested.

This computer doesn't have Acrobat (recently pimped it out with a new HDD, but have to redownload everything), but I remember something in there about returning to their roots. The survey, which you can check out at www.lugnet.com (it's closed, but replies at lugnet are being counted as well), has basically everyone rooting for less juniorization and more original LEGO. -
There's a pre-requisit of the number of fans before something warrants a website? I think not! Anyone with a strong enough interest and the time and money could create one. And it wouldn't surprise me if I ended up doing it myself after the semester is finished... It's not a pre-requisite, but if you're hoping for a high number of visitors...

I like the Imperial Flagship. Best design. AND it has nice cannons.

Lego looking to sell legoland theme parks
The Middleman replied to Darth_Ewok's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Well, imagine that... :P I'm going into International Baccalaureate next year, which is going to be a gigantic mark on my future resume. :-D Ah, yes the IB program. I applied at a high school for that program, I got accepted into that too but between IB and IBT, I chose IBT since IB is more for studying languages, while I wanted something to do more with business and computers, plus the IBT program has an extra laptop program, which I got in, which made my dad buy me a laptop. :P Well, I'm going into either law or psychiatry, so I figured IB is for me. And I already have a laptop, so... -

Actually, the financial report says that they're taking a step backwards to classic sets, and the survey they recently took pointed out that most people want more classic sets as well, so I wouldn't be surprised if that IS what we're getting. ;) -
Anyone have the Grievous fig?
