The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

Personally I would prefer a 3rd series of small sets as the superhero D2Cs never seem to be particularly impressive or good value for money. -

Just saw the film and it was excellent . However it has made me want the ultimate bat mobile and hate the fact that they put manbat in a set, there is a handful of characters that would be FAR more justified being in a set than him . -

I'm glad the flying monkeys have different face prints but they could have at least given us an alternate face for the wicked witch. -

For anyone in the UK heading into stores to get the polybag today be warned stores only got 10-15 of them and many stores didn't get any at all. My local had none but the woman at the counter kindly rang the store in the next town to keep one back for me . -

These summer sets are so expensive considering how few new minifigures are on offer. I agree that this last set looks a complete mess and half the minifigures are repeats . Unfortunately brick linking will be super expensive so I will have to pick this up on sale. If it's over £110 in the UK I'll be pretty disappointed. -

I still don't understand why some sets cost more in pounds than in dollars . The batcave in particular being £110 to $100 seems absurd. Assuming the summer sets are priced in the UK in the same way the summer sets were both the two face set and the bane set will be £55 and the scarecrow set will be £13. The batwing could be anywhere from £80 to £100 . -

Hahaha I completely agree . Is anyone else shocked by the fact that some of the sets have sold out already? I don't remember any regular DC sets selling out so fast. -

I wish Arkham was a smyths exclusive in the UK instead of toys R us as the latter never seem to have any good deals on sets. On another note, can anyone who has seen the film confirm now if the female character in the GCPD pack is Chief O'Hara? -

It probably will, I doubt many people are particularly hyped over two more bat suits but I suppose you never know. Hopefully it does stay in stock for you though . -

It's out now in the UK. I also picked it up today with the Riddler set, Joker Ballon escape and GCPD pack . My local store also had quite a few of the GCPD pack in stock even though it is out of stock online. Gotta say though the polybag isn't that great, I don't love the disco bats cape (its only gold on the outside so, when displaying it, it looks odd from the front) and the clown bat is just overall kind of bland . The GCPD pack is great for the price though, however I don't love that the dome on the bat signal is tinted black and the printing on the uniformed officers kind of gets lost in the dark blue plastic. I love the detective(?)'s torso and leg print though and her hairpiece is a personal favourite . She has one of the saddest looking female minifigure faces I've seen though with those bags under her eyes and the down turned lips . -

The summer batwing set with Harley was originally said to be $30/$40 and it's actually $90 so it seems unlikely that the batmobile set will be $100 given it has around 7 minifigures to the batwing's 3. -

Seems like the D2C of the theme is the set with the wicked witch. -

If the set with Harley and the batwing is $90 then how much is the "biggest set of the summer wave" going to be? -

Do we have any idea when that minifigure pack is being released? Also, just to let people know the polybag of the 2 batman minifigures starts slightly earlier in the UK than in the US. -

I really hope that huge set has no villains except the wicked witch and flying monkeys because that would make it an easy pass for me! -

The thing Polka-dot man is standing on that people are asking about is a giant polka-dot that he flies around on (I'm not even kidding). Think the back to the future hoverboard or green goblins glider but circular with polka dots -

Same but I'm thinking arctic roller and Scarecrow pizza delivery because they are both exclusives and so are less likely to be reduced later -

Interestingly the minifigure checklist doesn't show the little bat signal button Barbara comes with. Perhaps it was added later to give her an extra selling point? Although true, that is subjective and still doesn't justify the cost. I also find it odd that they removed the cape from the armoured batman set but gave red hood a cape and armour piece.
