Thank you for your feedback @flyingpancake! That's an official Lego part. -

@Murdoch17 and @aFrInaTi0n, thank you both! Oh. One day not visiting EB, and already missed something... Don't blame yourself for that. I think it's rather for my browsing habits that I missed it - I rarely visit the frontpage and instead go to the several forums I'm interested in directly (have Firefox favourites for them). -
Hi @mattsbrickmocs, Thanks for your kind request! As for now, I haven't found a new site to publish instructions for my models. However, you can link to my Flickr albums page where (nearly) all of my MOCs are displayed. Of course I'd love to see pictures of your Tyrrell 019 version as well! Best regards, Sven

Hi there, while trying to log in today, I noticed that it's not possible by entering username + password any more, but now requires email + password. Is that a bug, a new security feature, or can I choose login options somewhere in my account settings? Thanks in advance for answering! Kind regards, Sven

@Toastie In fact I was pointed to that news myself by a fellow German MOCer. But you're welcome anyway.

Sorry for bumping a 2-year old topic, but this might be of interest: Webrick was acquired by Gobricks and since yesterday (June 27) has started selling Gobricks parts only.

Thanks @LEGO Train 12 Volts! I guess that was the first version (or maybe the Tu-144D). However, I'm much more satisfied with the improved version and its new colour. Of course the differences are subtle, but I think the whole appearance is more realistic now. -
True. But, at least as I'm concerned, it doesn't have to do anything with your models. Porsches simply don't appeal to me. They're just over-engineered VW Beetles...

Not with the Opels, but with other models. In fact you have been with the Bugatti!

That Royale looks beautiful, too! Maybe just a little too small in comparison with the Ventoux Coupé? Yes, that's a pity. My (much more humble) specimen from the same era also didn't get very much attention.

Antonov An-2 in 1/70 scale, improved tan version

Thank you @Elysiumfountain and @KpopQueen - I'm glad you like it! I have also built a regular 4-blade propeller. But I find it strange to see a model plane put on a display stand, so as to present it in flight, and then the propeller is standing still. So I came up with that transparent dish. -

@Ecclesiastes I knew it must be my fault... Seriously: No idea what went wrong there, I just embedded Flickr images as always. Anyway, thank you very much for sorting it out manually! -
Update: Rebrickable had warned 8 MOCs. This morning, without warning, they banned 14 (!!!) of my models within 5 minutes. Even though it's not July 1 yet, I've now deactivated the remaining 7 models as well. I'll see if I can find another platform soon. In any case: **** ***, Rebrickable. I'm just sorry for the money I spent every year to support you.

Thanks for your understanding, @dtomsen!

Hello everyone, As the title suggests, I'm really upset about recent decisions by the people behind Rebrickable. Last night, I received "warnings" for eight of my models on Rebrickable. Essentially, it's about three things: A MOC inventory now has to include all elements used to build the model. As e.g. for cut hoses, this is basically impossible due to the lack of a part number, which is why I always point out in the model description that pieces of rigid hose are needed. However, this practice is no longer allowed. The main photo of the model must not show any stickers that can't be downloaded along with the instructions. I frequently use thin self-adhesive tape for trim lines on my model – how on earth should I be able to upload that or include it in the inventory??? Photos of the model must not reveal any third-party parts. Thus, I would have to show my two-axle passenger car without wheels; I would have to take a photo of my Tu-144 with gray hinges for the canards because Lego doesn't offer white ones. But I did always explicitly mention all third-party elements in the model description! It was clear to everyone and I’ve never received a single complaint. All three items have never been an issue and have now been introduced through the back door, literally overnight. I'm now supposed to revise the “warned” models and request a new review. Well, no, Rebrickable, you can do that without me. I've always wanted to give something back to the fantastic Lego community by making my models available on Rebrickable (which is why I never charged money for them). But then, first the plagiarists came along, and now Rebrickable is going crazy – sorry, I don't need to waste my time with that. I will therefore deactivate my Rebrickable account and all MOCs on July 1st and hope that others will do the same. So if anyone still wants to download one of my models, you’d better hurry. Of course, I'll remain active here at EB. And we'll find another way to share instructions for our creations. Best regards, Sven

Thank you very much, @Max_Lego and @Shiva! A question to the admins (maybe @Ecclesiastes or @Rufus): This topic is marked "featured" (and thank you for that!), but doesn't appear on the front page. I presume that's a mistake? -
Hi all, as part 78257 is finally available in tan, I was able to build a modified version of my previous model, depicting a livery which was applied to virtually hundreds of Aeroflot An-2s. Other modifications include more prototypical wing bracing, slightly re-shaped (slimmer) rear fuselage, additional struts for the main landing gear, transparent cockpit windows (I had to use two 3rd-party elements here, for Lego doesn't produce the 99563 ingot in trans-clear), greater structural stability of the whole fuselage and a brand new display stand. Judge for yourself: Thanks for stopping by! Best regards, Sven

[MOC] The Schneider Trophy Series - Introduction
Sven J replied to Hod Carrier's topic in Special LEGO Themes
What an outstanding series of MOCs! I hope you don't mind that I won't comment on every single plane model - you have simply built too many - but instead I'll just state that I'm absolutely blown away by your creations. So much knowledge, creativity, imagination and commitment put into these veterans! Thank you very, very much for sharing!
