It seems they scan existing MOCs at quite random intervals. So, lucky as you've been until now, rest assured: it will happen to you, too... ;-)

are the white dots on Lego bricks common or is mine fake😔
Sven J replied to reddiye's topic in General LEGO Discussion
You did look at the picture? As stated above, these "dots" are injection marks and are perfectly normal on all injection-moulded items. That, in former times, Lego was seemingly able to hide the injection gates in less visible edges is a different thing. -

These "dots" are injection marks where the molten ABS is - as the name says - injected into the mould. Sadly these marks seem to have become more prominent in recent years, maybe due to changes in the production process. But nevertheless your parts are genuine. -
Thanks for your kind words, @Shiva, @LEGO Train 12 Volts and @Feuer Zug! In fact it wasn't my own idea - Capriheld's model uses them already. But I agree that they suit the Dixi very well!

Thanks a lot for your appreciation @Kalais!

Thank you very much, Thorsten! P.S. I don't wanna be a nuisance, but this is the second time that one of my topics is marked "featured" (thank you!), but doesn't appear on the front page. Do I have bad karma? Maybe @Ecclesiastes can solve it for me, like he did last time?

Hi all, The BMW Dixi was a license-built variant of the British Austin Seven. A few weeks ago, Mathias (Capriheld) of 1000steine.de presented his model of this tiny economy car and also included photographic instructions. I liked the little thing so much that I absolutely wanted to adapt it for my 1:32 collection. During the process, however, the model evolved quite significantly from the original; nevertheless, it is, of course, a MOD, and I thank Mathias very much for allowing me to modify his Dixi and present the result. Compared to the original model, my version has grown in length by one stud. The driver now has a steering wheel and more elbow room; the rear seat is more accurately moulded; and the gap in the body in front of the rear mudguards has been closed. There is an additional closed top as an option. I've also finally found a use for the silly photo holder tile 2229 from the even sillier “travel moments” set: with a rubber band around it and a small sticker, it makes a great radiator grille! But judge for yourself: With the top down and the car traveling at a breathtaking top speed of 70 km/h, it's a good idea to put on a scarf, leather cap, and aviator goggles... The prototype doesn't have a front bench like many other cars of this era, but two single seats. I wanted to replicate this in the model to some extent (at least when there's no driver figure sitting in it, and the backrest is covered anyway), so I came up with this design: Even though the model is in some ways a "copycat", I hope someone might still like it. Anyway, I'd be happy to hear your feedback! Thanks for stopping by and best regards, Sven

That's really sad news. Seeing BBB wheels somewhere on the web was the initial spark that brought me back to the Lego hobby some 13 years ago. I really hope that someone will carry on with the company, for - in spite of several new manufacturers of train wheels - the BBB parts are still a league of their own with regard to quality and fit. Thank you so much for your contribution to our hobby, Ben!

That sounds perfect. I only hope it doesn't mean a load of work for you.

So maybe a 24-hour waiting period as suggested by @Coryo would indeed be a good idea? Or requiring new accounts to be manually activated by an admin?

Hi there, Currently several subfora are massively being spammed by some obscure airline hogwash. Is it possible to block this, maybe by a more specific "favorite theme/recently bought set" query during account setup? This spamming really is a nuisance, as it puts serious topics far down the list. So any measure to prevent this would be greatly appreciated.

For now I use my cloud to upload new models, and have in fact recently added my Hanomag 2/10 PS. If this could be a permanent solution, or how else it could be handled, I don't know yet.

Antonov An-2 in 1/70 scale, improved tan version

Thank you @SecondHandLego! -
While generally rather open-minded towards 3D-printing, I honestly don't really get the point regarding your slopes. Aren't they basically the same as these (oh, double width) and these?

It's worse: you mustn't even mention clone brands there. In one case, I stated that one of my models was based on (but heavily modified) a Bluebrixx set, I even credited the original designer. After several years (!) the model was suddenly banned. I altered the description, removed the Bluebrixx reference, but of course let the designer credits untouched, then wrote to an admin for re-approval of the model. He answered that there was no way I could know who the original designer was (Bluebrixx states it on their website...) and so the model remains banned. Another time, I stated that copies of a model were sold on Aliexpress although this was not authorized by me - that clearly was a warning not to buy these copies, not promotion! This was okay for some months, then they suspended the model for mentioning "pirate brands" and it was only re-approved when I changed "Aliexpress" to "Chinese websites". They've gone a bit mad there...

Hi all, Inspired by a tool box apparently mounted on some ADAC* Hanomags, my Post Office version now carries a little case so that the postman has a bit more storage space and doesn't have to put urgent telegrams (anyone remember what that is? ) onto the seat: Since the case should be able to be mounted and removed without any further modifications, it's simply hooked into the ventilation grille above the engine using the protruding straight end of a Minifig roller skate. It holds in place in absolute calm only, but that's sufficient for a display model... Best regards, Sven * German automobile club

Thank you @Shiva! Indeed, not even 2.8 m long. A shoe box on wheels...

Hi all, I just found this on BTA's Facebook site: Too sad, I was already looking forward to it. Well, I suppose they have their reasons for this decision. Let's look ahead and hope for a great contest next year!

Thank you @Elysiumfountain and @GeoBrick! These are pieces of grey rigid hose cut to 3 mm length.

Thank you @Feuer Zug!

Hi all, Here's my latest car model, built in 1/32 scale to match gauge 1 railways, but also quite close to Speed Champions/Town style. The Hanomag 2/10 PS was a small German economy car produced from 1925 to 1928. Due to its shape, it quickly became nicknamed „Kommissbrot“ („Army Bread“). The rear, differential-less axle was chain-driven by a half-litre single-cylinder engine producing a whopping 10 hp, which allowed the tiny car to reach a breathtaking top speed of 60 km/h (37 mph). Though being an RHD vehicle (very uncommon for a German car), the Hanomag only had a door on the left side to increase body rigidity. Both convertible and fixed-roof versions were available. Sales numbers didn’t meet expectations, for “real” cars like the Opel Laubfrosch or the BMW Dixi didn’t cost much more, but were superior in nearly every regard, so the 2/10 PS was replaced by the more conventionally-designed Hanomag 3/16 PS after only 3 years in production. And here's how it looks: Instructions for the fixed-roof version and .io files for both variants are available for free here! Thanks for stopping by! Best regards, Sven

[MOC] 2-axle passenger wagon in 1/32 scale (gauge 1)
Sven J replied to Sven J's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Yes, they're fixed. Works well for LGB R3 curves, as you can see here. Smaller radii would pose some problems though, I suppose. -

@Harzer Please look here for the background. -
Update: My model files will now be made available again in my cloud. I'll add more and more files over the next few weeks. Please read and agreee to the "Notes on using my files" first before downloading. Thank you!

Instructions for the An-2 are now available here! As I decided to give up my Rebrickable account, more .io files and instructions will be added to my cloud drive over the next few weeks.
