Would that not be the first teaser image that people 'enhanced' and swore they could see the MF but was upside down?
-
Han, Leia, Chewbacca and C-3P0 from ESB

I'd imagine it's purely for those buying instore as they know carrying a heavy box from the store back to your car could cause issues but those problems don't exist for those having it delivered to their door.

The September calendar has two sets available early for VIPs on September 14th so it's a safe bet one of them will be the MF. Remember the US price doesn't include sales tax so definitely going to be £600+ here, my bet is £650

If you are referring to the ad from China it was posted on here a few days ago.

Meant to be a Scarif Shoretrooper isn't it?
-
Thought it was always going to be Force Friday? then VIP will get the chance to own it early on September 14th and then everyone else on October 1st.
-
Has there ever been a set released that either you didn't receive points for or you couldn't use your VIP points on?

I don't think Smyths or ToysRUS have it yet but John Lewis have been selling it since last Thursday so they might have it but why not give them a call and find out? -
Wasn't aware there was yet another picture just the blurry one with desert background.

Its not a Lego store exclusive so doubt stock will be hard to come by and its going to be around for awhile yet. Finished by build last night, fantastic looking set and uses building techniques I have never seen before. -
I assumed it was a Jakku background as the MF has the TFA radar dish, wouldn't make much sense for it to have that in the image against a Cloud City background.

Does anyone know if this is getting an early VIP release? just that a few auctions on eBay state they will have it on May 27th. -
Finished building my UCS Snowspeeder and got the new Scout Trooper with Speeder Bike set.

That is Darth Vaders TIE Fighter and is a set from 2006

I remember reading there would be no minimum spend which resulted in several posts from people saying the sales of the key rings are about to sky rocket.

Have used it many times, can take a while for the cashback to track but it always has eventually and if you purchase anything online its worth going via Quidco as I have so far saved £700+ in the last 10 years. -
Why wait when it's available now?

It's the same as previous years, the US gets double VIP points (last year Attack on Hoth was excluded so assume the Snowspeeder will be also) and the UK gets 10% off (again doesn't include the Snowspeeder) I would go for it but don't forget you can get back another 3% using Quidco, on a set like this that is another fiver saved. -

It has been revealed 1969 pieces, very clever. -
I think it depends on the region because in the past the UK has received 10% discount on sets while the US has received double VIP points and no discount.
-
FYI its not a regular minifig its a 70 piece build-able figure.

Luckily can be had from Smyths for £400 so when they next do their 20% off promo anyone wanting a Death Star should be able to get one for £320
