  1. LEGO sure understands that today online is killing retail. Bricklink is becoming the smart hub of LEGO e-shopping and taking too much of their potential revenue. It could be a smart act by LEGO to make Bricklink its own Aliexpress. If thats the case then this is beneficial for them and no harm for BL. Bricklink can continue to run as is while LEGO takes its share. However if they decide to manipulate the market to protect their classic retailers worldwide, here comes the bad news for both LEGO and Bricklink. It will however fail as people will shift to other platforms gradually. Let me categorize Bricklink's activity as follows: 1- Parts market 2- Used set Market (complete and incomplete) 3- Historical Set Market (overpriced) 4- Oversees Supply (lower price than LEGO) If I'm LEGO then I'd like to take my share of (1) and hit (4). I am already fighting (3) through re-issues. I (LEGO) may also become a seller (the big one) and a buyer (when I need to).
  2. Very interesting! Looking forward to see the full shape.
  3. I like it! keep going!
  4. Very cool fake Mars surface idea This is a winning model seems to me. Bravo!
  5. Allah Akbar is an important sacred phrase for muslims which means "God is Greatest". Your comment is not pleasant I'd say.
  6. I was just going to say that! I like them all. This is a great Summer.
  7. Wow, the contest description combined with the conditions open the door for endless creativity! I think this contest will break the records in number of participants and number of quality builds.
  8. If it's new wheels like this one as the witness said that is very interesting
  9. About price of 42099 yes it is too high, even with a control+ and 2 tough motors. However, I hope and do expect we will get a surprizing reason. On the other hand, as others pointed earlier in some thread lets see what is the weight rather than the part count. And yes come on TLG now Lepin is dead. Celebrate with your Technic fans with some images :-)
  10. Recap of the above: It is set number 42110 - Green - 140$ (or euros) - 2500 parts. I wish for the sources please? And if that is true I totally agree with the 4x4 42069 and 1:10 hypotheses (and also some previous tires - baloon 81.6 probably ) as a best hope. With this price tag, piece count, and license fee, it seems to me there would be simply no room to fantacise about new exciting car mechanisms/parts.
  11. So except for 42100 it is zzZ until August or what? Come on guys someone must know something new, I'm listening.. I won't tell anyone
  12. Since its the year of frames, I always anticipated LEGO release a "half frame" part. I believe this would open a world of simplification and space saving.
  13. So simply they are for onsite assembly. The LEGO implementation of them however would jump out of place instantly.
  14. Someone forgot to pass the hose in the yellow pieces? Thats my theory for not buying any set yet since the Arocs. I dont need so many extra pins, white beams, grey connectors, LAs, and a colorful spectrum of curved panels.
  15. Professionally looking! Worth being the B model. I hope you consider motorizing all functions.
  16. The best use of LEGO is "real" applications. I once built a motorized handle that grips on a small bottle to effectively mix the eliquid I was making for my vaping. There is such handle that can be used with a drill but I couldn't find one in a local shop. My kids built once a nice balance scale which can weigh stuff the old way.
  17. Interesting viewpoints about the colors. My son is 13. While his younger sister reacted very positively, he didn't like these colors at first sight . I know not all boys will react the same but I know this does take place for many boys. This is aside from the idea that many would want to innovate builds (including schools) that involve their other part inventory and it looks to me they will struggle to match the colors.
  18. As in the LEGO site these builds target early teenage students. It comes to mind that the colors we see are somehow more appealing to girls. How did TLG think about that when they chose the colors, especially that mechanics and robotics have larger male audience? Is it they would like to involve more girls interest? Is this the LEGO friends of Mindstorms? Just raw thoughts...
  19. True Not only this, as seen elsewhere there are arc gears which are not among the part list (see the video in the previous post close to the end. It seems we are observing an expansion set.
  20. This has much less capability than EV3 apparantly but we may expect now a new mindstorms is next in line. A new mindstorms would most probably have a color screen, built in Wifi, ..etc The real question is these new electrical systems are they all compatible with each other? This is expected after the announcement of control+ systems in Technic 2H sets. The PF Era is apparantly finally over.
  21. Thank you! Good news. Perhaps grey ones are in the bases then and other colors in the other sets. I'm optimistic now
  22. Would it be that none of the 3 new frames of the Spike Prime set is in 42100 or the other 2H sets? I can see only regular frames in the available 42100 footage. I know it maybe hidden inside but I'm not optimistic about this ? I hope the eye spotting guys can find something.
  23. Licensed, Motorized, and 180 Euros! As you can see there is not enough reasoning here. One of the 3 attributes should not be right. My vote goes for it not being motorized.
