Mine if it helps The shuttle takes up a lot of space as it's so high on the stand. The others are all awkward in various ways as well!
-
Agreed the shuttle is awesome, especially if you have room to display with the wings down. I'm torn between the shuttle and Slave 1 as my favourite (until my Falcon is done)
-
Mandibles plated underneath and filled in with detail. Also done the underneath of the two airlocks. That ramp that hinged down from one side is awesome I'm halfway through the manual now. Loving it so far!
-
Damn these pics just make me want one of these more
-
The rest of the collection I'm very lucky my wife allows them in the lounge and on display!
-
Well my wife has said it can't stay on the coffee table once it's built! I think I'm going to wall mount it in the lounge where the rest of my UCS collection lives.
-
Funny you should say that - mandibles and engine are on It IS big......

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here

Is the Sandcrawler even a UCS? I've got the Slave 1 and it's one of my favourite sets. It looks fantastic on display. I think the Sandcrawler is more of a play set than a display piece, so I'd vote for Slave 1. -
The Falcon now has feet. Defintely was worth building the feet in parallel Lobot

Very nice - I'm pretty jealous

Thanks chaps, unfortunately I didn't have a big stock of old grey parts. I have had to buy most of the bits and they've tended to be either new or in good condition LBG. So the old plates I do I have used in the frame as I think just one or two on top would have looked more odd. We'll see how it looks at the end though, and I'm sure I might swap some bits around later. Got a lot of the frame done now
-
Certainly fun so far, and I'm not many pages in More frame done tonight I don't think I've got enough 'crappy' pieces to use them on the surface to make it look weathered, so I'm using them inside the frame where they won't be seen.
-
I'm certainly looking forward to it. Once I'd spent a couple of hours sorting out the pieces it was midnight, but I had to at least build something before I went to bed. So got this far by the time I gave up
-
All the pieces are now here and it's a LOT of Lego :) I started to build then realised that I had the lots split between bags from the different orders and it was going to be hard to find stuff, so instead I've spent the evening sorting everything out so all the lots are together etc. Hopefully it should be easier from now on

Man I always seem to end up paying full price

Nice! Some really well done additions there (I've got the UCS B-wing) and your version looks great The great thing about bricklinking UCS is that you (well I) don't feel as much need to keep it accurate to the TLG model. I'm looking forward to tweaking the Falcon, which will be my first bricklinked UCS. I think my originals will stay true to instructions though

Another order and 42 parts (mostly Technic beams) arrived today. So I'm just waiting for the final order which my colleague is bringing over from Poland for me this week.
-
Hmmm true Need to actually build the Falcon first though

I've got the UCS version, but I really, really like this one! I'm almost tempted to build it and display them together. Very well done!!
-
Hmm I quite like the idea of doing this after I build my Falcon. I've got the plain dish and a transfer on the way, but this somehow looks better. However I'm an OT fan so not sure if I'll be able to bring myself to ditch the round one :D

Small correctional order arrived today, so I'm now 2 orders and 380 parts away from starting
-
That looks so goddamned awesome
-
Really? Shame as it seems really solid when first built. Will keep an eye on it.

I've just built the UCS Tie. I'm amazed with how clever the 'wings' are, for example the way the 'spars' are linked from the front to the back with the droid arms. It is big though. Here it is in my new cabinet with the Slave 1 and Imperial Shuttle

Order from Turkey arrived, so I'm up to 4800 parts now
