I've choosen a scale of 1:16 and needed to go for different tyres. What tyres are you looking for? JB -

Hi! Some modifications to my version of the Xerion: 6 Motors (2 x XL for driving, 2 x L for functions, 2 servos for steering) Steering: front-wheel, 4-wheel and crab walk Functions: Cabin: lifting and turning rear PTO compressor front lift: pneumatic driven 3-point hitch: pneumatic driven pneumatic connection for trailers SBrick for controls DSC_0099 by JB Technic, on Flickr Lego Xerion SBrick Kompressor Tank by JB Technic, on Flickr Lego Claas Xerion with SBrick by JB Technic, on Flickr Xerion Back 3-Point Hitch by JB Technic, on Flickr Lego Claas Xerion JBTechnic SBrick by JB Technic, on Flickr JB -

In my opinion you can swap the blue ones with black ones. I wouldn't swap a blue one with a gray one...on my Xerion I swapped a gray one from the steering with a black one just to have a more rigid set up. Tolerances add up, leading to a wiggly set up. Unfortunately the 2L black pin with pin&cross axle is friggn expensive. JB

@Technicjb Thanks! I used two servos for steering and two Xl motors for driving. I planed to use a similar concept like on the 4x4 offroader with a servo and an extra motor to select the drive mode. I thought that if I have to use 2 motors anyway I'd go with two servos. So I got 2- and 4 wheel steering as well as the crab walk. For driving I have choosen 2 XL motors since I need enough power for trailers and/or other aux. I put 2 L motors on each side for lifting and turning the cabin, driving the compressor for the pneumatic functions. And I got a drive shaft to drive functions on trailers. I used the battery pack from the Lego train and put it under the hood up front. That way I could keep the hood slim compared to the TLG one. JB @Technicjb Thanks! I do not have the Volvo. But looking at it, GMade Bighorns might be a good choice. What tread pattern are you looking for? JB -

Hi! I don't think that you will find a straight scale....based on the wheels (107,4 mm) I came up with a scale of approx. 1:19 I tried to realize 1:16 on mine... http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=114518&st=75 JB -

I think that's it... Couple pf threads ago I posted this idea: IMG_0378 by JB Technic, on Flickr But could figure out how to compensate the length... I think on the Lego videos you can see the adjusting stick moving out when the steering wheel is turned. JB -

Hello! Looks like I forgot to introduce myself...Sorry to all! I am Joerg from Germany and I played with Lego my entire childhood until there were other things of interest ;-)... Most male probably know what I am talking about ;-) Now I am back and full into Lego Technic... My project is and was the Claas Xerion. I promised my kids to build one with all steering possibilities and of course a turning cabin... tough one. Particular Lego anounced to come up with one... so needed to hurry up. See ya in the one or the other thread... JB

I can change whenever I want...it is quick to disassemble the big exhaust pipe and put on the small one at the cabin. My Xerion is now where I wanted it to be...driving, cabin turning, pneumatic...my Kids already hae fun. Now it is time to build somthing the Xerion can pull... JB -

I decided to go with the exhaust pipe...even though the new models do not have it I think it is somehow iconic... Lego Class Xerion 5000_Exhaust by JB Technic, on Flickr JB -
