  1. Great job on the overall scale of the Rancor and the design of the hands and the back detailing. I do think as has been already stated the face needs a little work from the jaws up, if I remember right the Rancor's eyes are more like a birds in there positioning on its head, meaning they face more to the side then the front. Great job.
  2. For Christmas this year (2010) Santa Clause brought my son all the recently released LEGO Star Wars based on Hoth (Echo Base, Rebel Trooper Battle Pack, Snowtrooper Battle Pack, Hoth Wampa Cave). But in addition to those sets I deciced to build him a MOC based on the Hoth Rebel Base (#7666-1) that was released in 2007. I always felt that the overall base was to small especially the blast doors. So I set out to create my own MOC with enlarged doors with the intention to make the door opening taller to allow Tauntauns with riders to pass through but also wide enough also to allow Snow Speeders to fly through. The biggest compromise for me in building this was building in the stly and functionality of traditional LEGO sets and not building to realistic proportions as I normally do. My son loves the set and combined with all the other Hoth released sets looks really cool and so far has provided hours of LEGO fun. The features: Sliding blast doors, two swing out interior platforms with light rigging. Each platform has a different funcionality. One contains blasters for defense of the base and the other platform contains a computer control center to close the blast doors. I also created a large platform for my son to play on using a thin wood board measuring 31"x24". One side of the board is painted white with bluish highlights and rock formations to look like the ice planet Hoth as seen in Empire Strikes Back. The other side of the board is painted in many shades of tan to resemble sand to allow my son to play with his Indiana Jones and Pharaoh's Quest LEGO sets. Enjoy. 3. A MOC I made for my son to use with his LEGO Star Wars Hoth playsets. A bit of history of the laser canonnon. Manufactured by the Atgar SpaceDefense Coroporation, it is a 2.8 meter tall anti-vehicle weapon introduced in the Clone Wars. The Rebel Alliance used it in the Battle of Hoth as it performed well in rugged terrain and extremely cold temperatures. It was usually operated by a crew of four though could be operated by a skeleton crew of two personal. Enjoy.
  4. The whole idea is just to funny for words. Excellent job!
  5. Love the overall color scheme and how it fits into the base as well. Also love the slightly rounded front window. Very well done.
  6. This a little vignette I made for my brother-in-law for his birthday. He teaches Goju-ryu (it is a "hard-soft style of Okinawan Karate) and when I saw the Karate Master in the series 2 Collectable Minifigs I knew I had to create something for him. Enjoy, I think its just a really cool way to show off the figure.
  7. Was trying to change up the color on HELIOS-3E, he is a mix of black and grey strips in the Clone Wars. Here is a link to his image: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/HELIOS-3E
  8. Ok, sorry think i resized them now.
  9. [MOC]This is the Coruscant Speeder used by Cad Bane's Robot Gang in Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Evil Plans (Season 3, Episode 8). In the episode Todo 360 and HELIOS-3E kidnap C-3PO to take to Cad Bane for interrogation. The initial body design is based on Luke's Landspeeder (8092-1). The back of the speeder has been extended and the overall speeder has had a little more pizzaz and finish added to the overall body. In subsequents episodes of the Clone Wars there appears a dark red version of the speeder. Maybe a future build? BTW sorry that I don't have a Todo 360 in there yet, still working on that figure creation.
  10. The landing gear is retractable, sort of, because of the body design and space allowed the wheels are removable (built around technic pins) but the landing struts do retract into the the body allowing for the landing gear panels to close fully. Here are some pics showing this feature and thanks for all the comments...
  11. Here is a World War II Lookheed P-38 Lightning or "Fork-Tailed Devil" More images availabe at :http://mocpages.com/moc.php/193756 Thanks for viewing
  12. I love the base you created, very creative but does not take away from the MOC.
  13. Awesome job by everyone, I so can not wait until next years contest, I already have like five hundred ideas floating around in my head for creations and it doesn't help that it is winter time right now, cold and snow falling around - It just fuels the Lego soul.
  14. Tons of very cool creations for the Winter Village but here are my votes: Dix (Tram Station) 2 points Skalldyr (Music Shop) 2 points Nieks (The Tower) 1 point
  15. Here is my entry for the Winter Village expansion contest. It is a Town Candle Shop trimmed out in holiday decorations. The creation contains about 592 pieces. Here is a link to some additional images including the Town Candle Shop amongst the other official Lego Winter Village buildings. My link
