  1. The detailing on the FLAK cannon is awesome, you can truly feel its power. I applaud you for doing the bunker in SNOT even though I think it takes away from the realism of the MOC. I think it needs a roughness and beat up depiction to encompass the feel of concrete and stone.
  2. The antennae structure is very nicely done.
  3. The antennae array is an awesome design especially integrated into the trailer. I just think the truck needs more umph to it, seems kind of small and puny to pull such a massive array but I can see how a six wide truck cab fits into the Lego world. Maybe make it longer and taller or enlarge the front to imply a larger engine block to give it size. I do love the color scheme to with the blue and white and black.
  4. So simple in design, yet a very effective MOC. I just dont know about the wheels and there size in relation to being a truck cab and heavy hauler, but that is my big concern with Lego and the use of the mudguard, there just isnt a good larger wheel size to use. Nicely done with the colors too!
  5. The plating effect is nicely done, and the colors have a nice cobbled together feel to them. Is that an A-Wing mounted underneath? One suggestion would be to add another turrent for added badness factor.
  6. Lots of details for something so small, love the mini falcon on the shelf.
  7. Very nicely done, an excellent way to display the Hazmat series 4 figure. But like a previous poster mentioned, I think you need to include a red and blue light bar on top somewhere but I could also see that combination of colors contrasting a bit to much with the orange color scheme. Maybe something to play around with in the design. None the less awesome job!
  8. Totally epic for the teaser shot you have given us, makes me so want to see the rest of the creation. Nice work!!!
  9. Very cool design especially the angling on the body and the blue and white striping. Agree with the other posts about the length of the front nose weapon, just to long. Maybe shorten it or suggest its a inflight re-fueling probe.

    MOC Pickup Truck

Very cool design for a lego sized pick-up truck. Its to bad you can't add any side mirrors but I think cause of the doors that that is not possible. But the overall design leaves lots of possiblities as far as color choices for a two toned theme by changing the bottom portion of the front grill and the wheel fenders. Just an aswesome idea all around, I may need to snag this idea for my own town winter MOC, if thats allright.
  11. Very cool display, definitely has that 1930s pulpish feel to the MOC.
  12. Love the rock formations and the seagulls on them.
  13. Cool, simple MOC. I think alot of the items from Pharaoh's Quest are going to be able to expand everyones Indiana Jones MOCs.
  14. Love the overall design and how you seamlessly integrated the upper deck onto the lower deck. I do agree with some of the other post though about the white bricks, I think you need to replace those with yellow and then add a stripe in between the two decks, maybe in white or black. Don't know if you could do it in a solid brick thickness but maybe even just a plate thickness around for the stipe would look good. Excellent job!
  15. A very cool way to display some of the best Star Wars figures without getting lost in to much vignette.
  16. That is a truly unique way to display the collectible minifigures. Just oozing with awesomeness!!
  17. Very nicely done and the choice in wheel size fits perferctly for a 4-wide car.
  18. Thanks for the comments. The dilemma I have always had with building my military models is making them scaled for LEGO minifigs. I resigned my self a long time ago that everything I build would be around the minifig for several reasons (love the minifig, ability to display in a diorama or vignette along with other planes I have made, and as a challenge to myself to create and build in that scale). Your comments and views are much appreciated. The width of the fuselage is 6 studs wide, it may be possible to shorten it to 5 but that would require a major redo of the fusleage design (which I may do if and when I do a version 2). The thing that always attracted me to this plane was its iconic fuselage, slightly curved but very tall compared to its width and its overall largeness as compared to other figthers and bombers of the WWII era. A picture I took two years ago that reminds me of just how massive this torpedo bomber is when compared to people. I agree about the cockpit canopy appearing to tall. The canopy as far as I can figure now is limited because I want to have a minifig sit in it to fly the plane, thus I have to use trans-clear panels for the canopy sides that are 3 bricks high. After your note I figured out a way to lower them by one plate (just need to implement the whole idea to the entire canopy). That small amount may not seem like much but should help. I also agree on the taper of the tail. An area that does need some help and adjustment to make it slimmer as it tapers down to the tail. I have an idea floating around in my head to use hinges (an idea that I have used in the past in making a Viper from Battlestar Galactica) another design to the airframe to rework when I find time. Again thanks for the thoughts, gcanik
  19. After visiting a local air show in Colorado for the past two years where they have always had a static disply of a TBF-1 Avenger, I decided to try my hand to build one to go along with my other WWII airplanes. I started the planning/build in late August early September of 2010. I tend to work slowly on building MOCs, taking a lot of time off in between building phases as I like to think and plan alot but also cause of several different builds I'm always juggling, waiting on bricklink orders to arrive and being a full time dad plus work. So this is a Grumman TBF-1 Avenger, a torpedo bomber used in World War II. Dimensions - Length: 40' 11.5" Wing Span: 54' 2" Height: 15' 15" I'm going to use the basic ratio 1 lego stud = 1 foot as I do with all plane MOCs. I found the hardest (and most expensive part) was getting the fuselage to have a rounded appearance. But after much sketching out ideas and trial building I settled on curved 3x1 no stud bricks. Still need to work on recessing the landing gear into the wings and finish the hinge design on the bomb bay so the torpedo fits into the bay. Plus adding some more interior details and machine guns mounted in the bubble canopy areas. Progress is moving forward slowly but surely. All comments and suggestions more than welcome please. A series of pictures over time to show how the build progressed can be found at my MOCpages website: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/223855 The red round and silver brick is a fire extinguisher that will be mounted in the interior. "Pilot to ground control, I'm ready to fly but my builds not done - get a move on it!"
  20. Love the way you built the crate depression, only suggestion would be to add some 1x1 plates or slopes of brown (not reddish brown), dark tan, or tan to show the discoloration in the dirt as the layers go down. Nicely done!
  21. Very well done, I like the golden domes on top of the bay windows and an innovative idea to use the large tiles as roof pieces.
  22. Nice design on the clock face, only piece of advice and don't know if the pieces exist, but try to make the collar of the clock face out of arches for a smooth, rounded look instead of using slopes. The perspective shot to show height is nicely done too.
  23. So my son this past year has recently gotten into Batman Legos (plus all the movies and cartoons, it was a good thing I bought some of the sets a few years ago when they were all on sale/clearance and put them away for him) and this has inspired me to build my own Lego Batman creation. I decided to start with a Batboat that Batman could take out to sea but that had speed, was agile on the water and armed to the teeth. - Armament: 4 x .50 machine guns, 2 x forward facing 30mm cannons with variable trajectory, 2 x torpedoes, Depth charges, 2 x rear facing 30mm cannons with cycling cartridges to allow for deployment of smoke, concussion, and flash grenades, 2x self guided or radio controlled homing torpedoes. - Also includes 2 vectoring NOS thrusters to allow for accelerated speed or directional jumping. High speed brake flaps to allow for quick braking and tight turns. A storage area to the rear of the driver compartment containing SCUBA gear and dive fins. The port and starboard components contain the .50 caliber machine guns but are also torpedoes that can be jettisoned from the boat hull and be radio controlled or self guided to hit their targets or also gives Batman the ability to divide his boat into three separate attacking platforms for greater tactical options. Enjoy! 24. Very well done, reminds of something you would see in the world of American Graffiti.
  25. The overall shape of the roof is awesome, has a really nice feel to it and the way the chimney works in is nice also - feels very Harry Potterish indeed.
