Thank you so very much for this review. This set looks like a great addition to any City/Town layout. Definitely a set I would add to my collection and possibly MOC. I can't wait for this set to arrive to the US. I am happy to see TLG finally released a set that reflects the bygone "Town" days. A time when TLG made homes and cottages for the theme. I hope TLG keeps this trend alive in the years to come. Model On!!

I would certainly agree. More accessories like freight cars, passenger cars, maintenance cars / vehicles, etc... would be awesome to see for 2011. I really hope TLG expands further on the Train line. I know this theme could be a bigger success if they just market and expand on it, especially here in the USA. The new items look AWESOME! I hope they keep it up for the coming years. Model On!

I can't wait for the release of the TRU Exclusive truck. This will make a great addition to my layout along with the 3221 set. The parts in blue are especially awesome! TLG has done an awesome job this year regarding City. I am very happy to see them create sets that reflect the sets from bygone years (1985 - 1996). I have been waiting a long time for Lego to get back to their roots of "Town". WAY TO GO LEGO!! KEEP IT UP! Model On!!

AWESOME MOC!! The building is excellent and your design on the signal is too. Great use of the PF & gearing. Model On!!

This is a great MOC using the parts from the Space Police set. The yellow cargo area on that set definitely looked like a box cab unit. Great job using that idea into your MOC. Model On!!

This is definitely an AWESOME MOC!! I love the look of the building and all the details you have added. You have done an excellent job. Model On!!

Athos, your MOC is looking good. Certainly looks like a building you would see in Downtown USA. Definitely keep us posted on the progress. Model On!!

Thank you legomilk for this news. I can't wait to see the pics of this set. I am sure this set will not disappoint since Lego has been doing an excellent job with these modular building sets. Model On!!

Your MOC's are great! I particularly like the Hummer-looking vehicle and the way your support truck stores the ladders. Overall, they all are GREAT. Model On!!

I will agree, this is a great topic that I have not given much thought to. The vote was certainly a difficult one, I actually had to think :) . Both concepts definitely have their advantages and disadvantages. The advantage of the parts type is certainly the "feel" of building the track bed from ties to rails. Unfortunetly this type really did not stay together when you accidently moved it. My vote went to the prefab due to the fact that they "snap" together and stay together even when you move it. You can still create a track bed with these which is nice. Another advantage to the prefab is the 2 extra ties they added to the curve track. This definitely adds to the realism of the part. The disadvantage would be the building "feel". With prefab, you certainly cannot create the track cars you see on the MOW trains. They look a little strange. One cool thing you can do though is use the part type rails for these railcars. This will make them look realistic, plus you can create a unique maintenance scene using the parts type. Nice to know you can use both in a layout. Model On!!

Very good work Tinn-man. I think the work you did looks very well done. Your MOC is a nice change from the posts of locomotives. Well done! Model On!!

Thank you for the review. Great Job!! I wanted to mention for those of you members that live in the USA that Target stores have these sets in stock. The box mentions that this set is a Special Edition in the states. My guess would be that this is a Target exclusive. So for those of you US residents, Target stores may be the only department store that will carry this set. Thought I would mention this, sorry if this has been mentioned already. Model On!!

What an AWESOME job you did on this MOC. I really like the tread design. This would look excellent for a D9 or D11 model. This MOC definitely deserves two . Model On!!

Than you for the pics. Very cool MOC. I love the way you used the hydraulic pieces, definitely gives the model that realistic look. AWESOME JOB!! Model On!!

Thank you very much for that great and informative review !! After reviewing your pics, I am definitely looking forward to purchasing this set. The TLG designers did an excellent job at the detail and realism in this set. I love how the functions of this set reflect an actual carousel. This would make a great addition to any City layout. Model On!!

VERY COOL MOC's Kobe! Your work is very well done. The roll door effect to the truck is great. AWESOME JOB!! Model On!!

TLG definitely could have done a better job designing this set. This set looks so plain, it has that thrown together look and feel. Something they added at the last minute. The idea behind this set is cool, just needed a little more thought to the truck and platform. Piece to price ratio is definitely on the poor side. Just needed to add more detail for the price. Model On!!

Great Review! This set reminds me of the lawn mower in the "Farm" set. The only difference is the front wheel type. The color scheme is unique. I am surprised TLG did not add yellow hubs to add that certain touch (hint, hint). Overall, a very cool set. Model On!!

Decisions, decisions, decisions! If I could have, I would have chosen both. I personally feel that trains & town go hand-in-hand. Trains is basically a part of Town if you really think about it. I have been a "Townie" for the past 24 years and added Trains to the mix when TLG released the 9V system. I voted Trains here because I have also been a railfan for just as long. Remember, trucks aren't the only way to carry goods to and from the Town, you also need TRAINS!! Model On!!

This is definitely a very AWESOME set!! As Tinn-Man stated, I am also curious where you got your "nasty" hands on this set. Have you heard or do you have information that claims some sets mentioned for August release will be coming out sooner? I am sure we are all interested. Please reveal some news if you have it. From the looks of your pics, the set itself looks like the preliminary pics. I am happy to see that TLG did leave this set alone. Sometimes they have a tendancy to take a preliminary design and make changes that ruins the set. I am certainly looking forward to your review. I can't wait to see some possible new pieces. Model On!!

I would certainly agree that there was something under the sheet. If Front is hinting, then I definitely can't wait to see what is next in the line of Modular Structures. I would to see an old style firehouse as well. Maybe it could be a Bank / Flats combination though. The patrons need somewhere to get the money for the Cafe or Grocer. I would to see something like this too. I guess we all will just have to wait and see. At least we can dream of what lies ahead. Model On!!

Very nice work . You did an excellent job! I am curious what scale factor you used. You mention minifig scale, but with the truck as big as it is, how tall would the minifig be then? I am asking because the scale factor I use for my models makes my minifigs about 6'-8" tall. I know this is a bit tall, but a 6-wide vehicle would measure 8' wide. A typical width for a standard fire truck and tractor-trailer. My trains then are 8-wide, this makes them 11'-3" wide. This is a typical standard width. Just curious? Note: The typical standards are based on US measurements. Model On!!

I certainly have a great idea for an Indy set. I would like to see the tank from The Last Crusade as a set. I was surprised that TLG did not release that for 2009. When you look at the Batman Tank for an example, you can see a resemblance to the WW1 tank. As to any others, I think TLG has a done a wonderful job at the line-up. So far, the sets I would want to see, they are releasing. I hope that TLG will continue the same trend they have with Star Wars. That is, improving models through the years. I definitely think they can improve the look of the Flying Wing. I was very disappointed when I saw the final result compared to the preliminary pic. They should have left the tanker truck alone. The new look is UGLY. I also wonder if TLG is going to leave the German decals on the airplanes that are being released later this year. If so, they should have added those to the Flying Wing. Overall, the line looks very good. I certainly wonder what is on the horizon.
