  1. 1. I do not mind playfeatures incorporated into a lego set, even one marketed towards adult fans. I hate sets that do not fit minifigs or don't have any. Hence i'm not a big UCS fan. I like a balance between realism and play. However there is 1 play feature i hate on almost any toy and that is shooting (springloaded or otherwise) missiles, i hate them with passion. This set has plenty so that's a big negative. 2. Star wars die hard fans tend to overdetail everything, if it's not exactly like in that dusty 40 year old movie it's not good (it's not like everything in the movie(s) was oooo so great). I change alot of stuff if i don't like it, movie correct or not. 3. I bought this set with alot of doubt. It's clearly not as good as the ewokvilage set (which i should have gotten, but it was sold out) but it's not the end of everything. 4. It's clearly way overpriced, hence it was on discount (payed 220€ for it myself ) and even then i felt a bit ripped off afterwards because i could have gotten it at 200€ a week later, Does all of this mean i'm gonna resell it? Probably not, because it's Lego, if it's not what you want it, you can change it, remake it or re-immagine without much effort. It does give you a good basis for building a hoth display if like me you start with almost none of the older Hoth sets. Will i recommend this set then? Not at the rediculous official price, but at the lowest discount price of 200€ i've seen it (official price in Europe is 280€) it's a good deal if you're new at lego star wars Hoth and you want to have some fun in the snow :) .
  2. After building the phantom II, i had a few questions popping my mind: 1. Why is the space for chopper offset to 1 side and not in the middle? don't remember seeing that in the cartoon. 2. It has a bigger cargo hold the the first phantom, but still it's not very big, you can make it 1 tile of studs deeper if you remove the stopplate. 3. The landing gear looks stupid, It looks better if you leave it off. 4. The cocpit needs to be pulled off to open it, why no hinges???? 5. it's not big enough, but that's with almost everything in lego scale. 6. NO real engines on the back. For the rest it's an okay ship, but at the official retail price in here in the EU (45€) way way way way way way overpriced , I payed 38€ for it and i still feel ripped off. it's should have been 35€ max. I might get a second one in a few months in promo and do some customisation like i did with the first phantom.
  3. No, it's not, the underside is so made that it coinsides perfectly with the ghosts docking station.
  4. h It fits!, but it looks really big on it. it's a bit bigger then the phantom I
  5. I hate stud shooters for minfigs. They are okay for some vehicules.
  6. This is my first attempt to build a partial custom design derived from the z-95 Headhunter. I call it the Z-98 Stormhammer. I kept the central fusalage of the Z-95 mostly intact as it a very good design. The design became more sleeker and aggressive. It's a step up on the Z-95 in performance. It's more off a cross over between a z-95 and an A-wing. I think it looks cooler then the origional :). Might in the futrue chance out the red pieces for grey ones. [ Comparison with standard LEGO Z-95:
  7. I like the comparison pictures, never knew how it's size compared to the other 2 shuttles. I think it's a bit too black now.
  8. Where? And nothing is ever shure with lego.
  9. In the last episode op STAR WARS Rebels they finaly featured a YT-2400 light freighter (Outrider design). Although the episode and the crew (without going into detailed spoilering) of it of it were not that great, I still hope it features again in upcomming episodes. What are the chances we might finaly get this design in LEGO in the later 2017 waves?
  10. I bought Krennic's shuttle 75156. I actuelly don't like the set, but i wanted the minifigs and it was on sale. From an interior view this is even worse then the Kylo Ren's shuttle. I will also shorten the wings. Don't see why you need those long flaps anyway, they look rediculous.
  11. I like it, if you find it at a reasonable price and not the EU price, which is rediculously high. I didn't own any hoth sets before 75138. So i have no comparison base with earlier sets. I also bought the 75098 afterwards, they fill in nicely.
  12. I really liked nexo knights so far, but these new sets are extreem childish, even from a lego perspective. So no i don't like this wave. On the positive saves me money.
  13. yes it can be combined, you just need to pick 3 products for the 10% extra discount
  14. That said i just noticed toysRus.nl us has a sale, so i bought a 75155 U wing there for 64€ and they even have 75098 hoth even cheaper now then what i paid, i knew i should have waited a week longer....
  15. Nope, There is no 1 store that is the cheapest on everything, You really need to compare alot and buy on the moment of promotion.
  16. collishop/dreamland; Belgian retailer, sinterklaas promo 15% extra discount on allready low prices for 750158 and 75106. julibri.nl for the hoth set.
  17. bought my crismas stuff: 75158 Rebel combat frigate for 101€, okay price but not spectacular 75098 Hoth battle set for 229€, still feels like too expensive even with 50€ off the official price 75106 Assault carrier for 85€, great price for a great set :)
  18. No more movie stuff, EVER! Ghost and phantom :) outrider :) vt-49 decimeter :)
  19. Some people army building and an army has more then 1 x-wing. I adore the black and orange Poe version but it is a personal fighter, not a random one. Even i bought a grey blue one to have more then one :) As i also bought 3 A-wing's to have a squad of then. It's easier as they take less space for 3 then 1 X wing :D
  20. I bought 75157 Rebels Rex's AT-TE for 99,98€ including shipping. Now that's a fair price instead of the 139€ LEGO promotes. You can find the latest 75151 clone turbo tank for the same price if you look hard enough :)
  21. 1. Galaxy squad 2. Space police III 3. mars mission
  22. Personally i thick it is one of the best lines ever produced, especially space lines. I missed it when it came out (i was out of lego), but when i found this out in 2015 i bought all sets multiple times. They were easy to find at great prices It was action and adventure strait from a sci-fi movie. It was non-licence, so cheap and non of the freaks look like mad for it. Most sets had special builds or neat semi-transformation gimmick. Excellent sets for army building, the only thing missing was a squad headquarters! If you like the movie starship troopers, you'll love this :) don't know if it sold well, but i'm not a kid, i grew up in the years when space battles were cool :)
  23. They are still looking for the one from 2008 to re-use
  24. There is no such thing as unlimited supply, A company produces an estimate (and might do a rerun), Lego in in that regard one of the better companies, most other collection/toy companies do one run and that's it, demand or no demand, they are allready of doing the next wave or line. Biggest exeption is for example gundam model building who do reruns for years. Big sets are always more limited in numbers then smaller sets. Even lego sets only stay on the market for a limited period. So when the last batch is made you start picking them up and availabilty goes down very fast. Also another reason lies with the fans, who always wait to get it. For some reason everybody always wants the set after it's production run. This is a particulary expensive set, not everybody can afford it at the moment it is in stores or never in some cases. Want does NOT equal buy.
  25. That will not save the set, a 80€/90$ decrease in price wil if you want to keep changes simple.
