  1. mmmmmm this sounds good. Bring on the death and destruction! I'm totally in!
  2. Hey Terrence...tell me more about Tony the Tiger. Did you need more evidence for that one, what happened to the case exactly?
  3. What's on your mind? Hmm?

  4. No, you misunderstand. I assure you, sir! That FBI van is mine. I was grabbing some tea, on the way to park in front of Shadows' house. You see...he's the leader of the scum. Iz gud deel. *cough* I mean, trust me. I'm a dragon.
  5. 1. What is your mafia experience here on EB? How about other sites? Played some, hosted two, all on EB. I heard some kids playing Werewolf at a card shop last year, does that count at all? It was hilarious. 2. What do you think of your performance in EB Mafia so far? What are your strengths and weakness? What do you want to improve? Practice makes perfect, Shadows has a lot of practice...I'm still trying. What to improve...not freaking out on day 1 (no matter what team I'm on). 3. What do you think of the no-PM rule? Sounds great! The very first game I ever saw here was no PM and I had no idea what was happening! It's Traditional!
  6. I was a member of Classic-Castle and Bricklink "community" but they didn't really take for me, then the CMF Series 1 review came out here (linked on a Bricklink forum post). I was very impressed with the organization, moderation, and everything about the community and joined right away. It took a few months before I became active though. I think I had 2 posts for about 6 months.
  7. Are you a member of a LUG? Yep! I'm a member of GSLUG, New Jersey. I also founded WisLUG which is in other capable hands now that I've moved out of Wisconsin. Are you actively participating in your LUG? Not at the moment. I just moved here and they haven't had a meeting for August yet, but I hope to be involved once I meet everyone. Would you consider supporting more actively the online AFOL community I am happy where I am and with what I do here at the wonderful Eurobricks.
  8. jluckhaupt, I'm glad you are finding the lessons useful just from reading them. Now that you've been assigned three different lessons, you should enroll in each (you can't enroll in Creating a Brick Flick: Part 2 until you pass Part 1 though). I have listed all your assignments in the first post. As for my photography lesson, it works well for both comic and film. Since animation is simply a series of still images, learning to control the DoF to highlight the area you want to draw the eye to is extremely powerful skill to have. The reason the assignment there has no comic call-outs is because it isn't specifically for comics but simply to learn how to tell the story with the photos. For any questions directly related to the lessons, you should ask them in your lesson thread. Once you pass the lessons you can come back here and submit your final video for approval. You can always come here and submit new video and ask for feedback! It's really nice to see your improvements with each film.
  9. Welcome to the Brick Flicks Academy! I'm glad to see your work here and your desire to improve it. You've got a good start here. Everything SteampunkDoc said, I agree with. I think one of the things that could really improve your video is to have more varied shot types. All static shots will get, I hate to say this, boring after a while. Also remember that generally for music videos you want fast cuts in time with the music, this is what viewers have come to expect from music videos. I think that if you want to have a nice final product, you're going to need to have an app to control everything on your iPad (they do exist) or get a small camera that will allow manual controls. I'm thinking using a timer or remote feature on the iPad will alleviate those bumps which will really help in the long run. To get you started on lessons, and other camera angles and control, I'd like you to take Lesson: Controlling Depth of Field .
  10. Thanks for the game Tammo. Nice work on the images, as I've said before, and the story and everything. I was planning to contact someone with my list but the night ended earlier than I was expecting, I'm sure that's my fault and I missed something about the night lengths along the way. It was fun while it lasted.
  11. That is so super cute! Great presentation to.
  12. I haven't been keeping up with any traditional comics, but i've been reading the web comic Unsounded and have a print version of the first ~200 pages of the series. Unlike a lot of webcomics, it's actually updated regularly. Unsounded
  13. If you think growing up is tough, then you just aren't grown up enough.

  14. Very nice build. I really like the design of the bridge supports, so much texture there.
  15. Did someone say presents?! Oh wait, i'm dead. Nevermind.
  16. player vs. player? What?! I thought it was player vs. host.
  17. No need to be so hard on yourself, I think the landscape looks really great. The castle looks very nice as well. Good job all around.
  18. It took a really long time (few months), but I was able to get rid of smoke smell completely in some bricks and cloth parts. I put them in a sealed bag, surrounded the parts with newspaper (inside the bag). I changed the newspaper every week or two. After a couple months the smell was gone.
  19. Great photos! looks like Redrock in a few of those. A nice place to visit but I never liked it in the summer!
  20. Well, quite a lot has happened while I've been attending to paperwork today. Wait, what do I mean by paperwork? Oh goodness, that could be sinister secret things that I accidentally typed just now! Anyway, folks, I see a lot of talking. A few of you, well I've seen you around town before and let me tell you, you are acting a bit strange today. Now I'm not going to say who all I suspect because, let's face it, we can only catch one person a day and hope they are the right one. I don't want the others trying to stop doing what they are doing that makes me suspect them. Number one on my list is <looking around at everyone suspiciously> Esther. Yes, Esther. The pretty lady with the plain shirt. You may be wanting to ask "But, why, Drake?" Let me tell you why. First time she spoke, Esther was already accusing folks. Yesterday she never said hello to us, just showed up, right in the middle of the day (not too suspicious by itself, but still worth noting). Even when she wasn't being really accused of anything, she was overly defensive with lots of quoting. Has some sort of list of people already who she thinks is good or bad...this soon, a list..really? We have nothing to go on here, nobody should have any sort of solid list or even a 50/50 at this point, that is nobody except those who do know and who need to cast doubt on others. Vote:Esther Thompson (Esurient)
  21. Kinda looks like something from Stash.
