  1. "Oh gold, I should go spend this soon." Storing the gold and gear, she then concentrates on the box and casts a small targeted wind spell at it.
  2. I agree except if your character is the type to remember people/places/things or something like that. Just because I never remember anything doesn't mean my character has to be that way too, though it does mean i would need to write down anything my character would remember.
  3. "Hi there, it's sure been a while. I do still have the journal, but I'm not planning to sell this scroll at any price. Learned my lesson last year when I sold that Witches Talisman for pittance." "Thank you Hybros, this all looks fair to me. Namyrra seems to be distracted, but I could open that box for you, if you'd like? Also you still have my old helmet and I have your diamond." She takes out the diamond and hands it to him. "Thanks for letting me borrow it for the quest. I hope I can pick one up in the market." "That's a good idea, I got a bunch of gold from that chest and a poor mage like me sure doesn't know what to do with so much gold." She pulls out her bag of gold and sets three piles of 100 gold each on the table. She pushes a pile toward each of her teammates Namyrra, Tesni, and Tarn. "I think you'll be able to put that to good use."
  4. The reason that we made all the personality sections very short (a few words like yours up to a whole sentence) and not detailed were to give you the leeway take the character on in any way you felt comfortable. Since those were written separately from the roles or the player assignment, we wanted to make sure that it wouldn't affect the game in anyway. It can be difficult, especially in your first game, to work in personality traits which is why they were not a requirement but more for flavour and fun. The clock. It. Never. Moves!
  5. Great update. Your skills are very much improving. One that bother me are the numbering circles: 1. Why do you have them? 2. Why aren't they all the same spacing? 3. Why does one of them have a dot and the rest don't? I'm asking because even though to me it looks "wrong", if it's an artistic choice and not an accident then that's your decision. The other thing that I'm not too fond of is using mixed case instead of all upper case lettering. Again, it's up to you, but the standard for comics is to use all upper case (as mentioned in the Adding Dialog to Comics lesson). At this point, I'm not going to assign any more lessons, though you still need to take the Dynamic Paneling lesson that was assigned. We'll see what some other teachers have to say.
  6. Great to see all the figs in one place like that, awesome designs.
  7. That was a huge mistake. Never admit that to a QM. They might get your whole class gimped.
  8. Thanks, Brickington. For comic layout, I use Comic Life. For photo editing I usually use Adobe Lightroom (for importing photos, adjusting colors, etc) and Adobe Photoshop for heavy edits/effects/etc. Most of the game comics I used Lightroom+Comic Life or just Comic Life. I doubt I'll be posting any MOCs, they were built for photos not for display. I am working on a lesson about that though, so you will get to see some behind-the-scenes on one or two of the game builds when that lesson is posted.

  10. Thank you everyone for the great comments on the comics. We had so much fun making all those jokes.
  11. Here's the player layout which has night actions/results and all that good stuff. This link should work for everyone, let me know if you have trouble viewing the document. Player Layout
  12. One would expect no penalties for breaking a rule by day 10, since the rules never changed.
  13. Ok cool. I didn't read that part until after I posted, gotta love those quick reactions without finishing reading the rest of the thread.
  14. I don't know why you seem so angry here. Yes we did try to clear the fog. Also, one of the things that JB didn't mention is that we started out with one more hero than we ended up with. So the game was created for a certain number of high level folks but we were one less. That includes any consumables he might have had, etc. It just made it that much more difficult and ultimately, in our opinion, impossible for us.
  15. Scum Wins! Sadly, someone has already cut the cake. I tried to tell them not to, but they wouldn't listen. I'd like to thank all the players for participating. It was a lot of fun for us hosting and overall you all did wonderfully. We were very impressed with many players in this game. I'd like to especially thank Shadows for hosting along side me. Couldn't have done it without you! I'm only disappointed by the lack of 2 cults and 4 mason groups, no lovers either. What was this, a simple game?
  16. Cinna walks in slowly, quietly, and heads over to the table with her questmates sitting at it. She looks at the list, not remembering half it due to the whirlwind battles. "Hey, glad we all made it back alive. That's something at least. I really wish we could have brought Jun home at least, hope he's doing alright on his own, hope he escaped." Studying the list again, she circles a few items and hands it back to Hybros. "I guess, most of this stuff we should just sell and split the gold. I need to replenish all my supplies, but at least I learned a lot. That counts for something, right?" She sighs, thinking of yet another person lost. Hopeing both Jun and Bluto will some day be rescued and that she will have a hand in rescuing them, somehow washing away some of the pain and guilt for letting them be lost or taken in the first place.
