  1. Oh, absolutely. Just a bit stumped at what could be considered a returning theme AND video game related. Atari was the only other thought I had…
  2. Could “P” be Portal? Since we had the LEGO Dimensions pack, it would technically be returning. And a one-off set would make sense for Portal. Edit: Also makes sense Shrek was known early since the new movie was delayed. They probably started the licensing/set design/etc much earlier compared to the movie’s release now.
  3. 100% agree. I’m very curious how Nintendo will handle licensing of their first live action movie generally. Will we get action figures that resemble the actors? Or toys that lean on the closest game design to the movies? LEGO’s contract was likely just for the game series. I could see them expanding the deal to make a dedicated movie-based line. But I could also see them arguing the movie is risky. LEGO seem less interested in making direct tie-ins for new movies, even for properties like Marvel, DC, Indiana Jones, etc.
  4. I love it so much! Pretty much no complaints. People can keep their $650 Pokemon sets, LEGO can give me all the Zelda scenes at this scale and quality they want. I’ll be there day one.
  5. are we getting another 18+? That’s somewhere around $250-$260 in US dollars, right? The only other Mario sets that have been around that price so far are 71374 Nintendo Entertainment System and 71411 Mighty Bowser. Both are obviously retired now, so there is a gap for a set at that price point. After last year’s awesome Game Boy, are we going to get a Super Nintendo? Or another big buildable figure like Bowser? Maybe the Lion Knights and Disney castles retiring means LEGO sees a gap in a larger castle set, and we could finally get a minifigure-scale Princess Peach castle?
  6. Oh, please be book ends with Pooh stuck in Rabbit’s door split across each side! Realistically, that probably wouldn’t work with a minifigure. I can’t remember how tall the Villains set is, but book nooks/bookends could also be used with the right DVDs/blu-rays instead of books.
  7. I feel like LEGO probably wants to go in a different direction than Mega if only so they won’t have direct comparison to a rival brand’s sets. That doesn’t mean we’ll get minifigure sets, of course. In my opinion, I think people should prepare to see something more like the Mario line with digital figures. I wouldn’t be surprised if we get a pokeball starter set that works like the Mario figures. And you can scan Pokemon to capture them, and then fight with other people using their digital pokeball, etc. And then an 18+ set that is something like a buildable Pikachu.
  8. Yep! Both Fateful_04 and TandNBricks are saying it, now with a set number and early next year. Supposedly D2C, so not a playset. ^ All with a grain of salt of course. Wish we had more details, but the wait for the Deku Tree was also agonizing since we had pictures leak so early.
  9. No argument here! I hope they make more smaller sets, but they must see Zelda as more like Lord of the Rings for now? Maybe once the movie comes out we’ll get a line of playsets scale sets. (I doubt they’d be based on the movie since LEGO did nothing for the Mario movie, but maybe that’ll be be justification for making non 18+ sets?) Agreed there is so much potential. And since I’ve played almost all the games, I’m only biased in that I want sets of them all! But while I’d love to see Skyward Sword, Wind Waker, or Twilight Princess get sets, my guess is they’ll stick to Ocarina and Breath of the Wild for now to get both classic and modern fans at once. If we don’t get Ganondorf, I hope we at least get a minifigure enemy next time around.
  10. Just a Christmas Tie Fighter I would bet that LEGO will keep Zelda as a 2-in-1 approach with Ocarina of Time (for nostalgia) and BotW (for modern fans). They could keep it going for years with so many locations reoccurring in the game series. Some ideas: - Lon Lon Ranch or BotW Stable - OoT Temple of Time or BotW Temple of Time - OoT Hyrule Castle or BotW Castle Ruins - OoT Kakariko Village or BotW Impa’s house Whatever they do next, I hope we get more characters as minifigures.
  11. On Instagram TandNbricks is teasing Zelda returning in 2026. Last year they correctly teased Simpsons, Pokemon, Horizons Zero Dawn, and Lord of the Rings for 2025. They wrongly teased Indiana Jones and Endor Master Builder Series. So, take that for what you will. But hopeful we get more Zelda.
  12. I know we're supposedly a couple days away from the official announcement, which should have these details, but has anyone figured out the dimensions of the main Bag End build side to side and front to back? Trying to figure out which shelf it could fit on in my office and I keep getting confused counting studs because of the angles and larger slopes.
  13. It’s a great strategy for a leaker if they know enough “sure” things but a few “maybes” to position it all as an April Fools’ Joke and ask us to decide what’s real or not. That way if one or two fall through they were “always” the jokes.
  14. I remember that April Fools’ Day list and thought there was no way they were all real, Pokemon had to be the prank. Surprise, surprise! i wonder if plans have changed since Dial of Destiny? But maybe other mediums (like the video game) will keep Indy alive enough in pop culture to justify some one-off Icons sets based on the movies? like Lord of the Rings? I just personally have a hard time believing we’ll get a dedicated theme again.
  15. He said “3.25 LotR will be eating good” so looks like that’s the announcement date, but by “eating good” do you think we’ll get more revealed then just the Shire? Maybe that’s why the later announcement, we’re also getting the Balrog set revealed for later this Summer?
  16. Totally surprised by this announcement and intrigued for sure! I have a feeling based on the announcement video that it's going to be more like the Mario sets rather than the minifigure-based Animal Crossing or Zelda sets. My immediate thought? I'm imagining a Mario-esque starter set with a digital pokeball that can scan and catch brick-built pokemon.
  17. This and the breakdown by theme is really interesting! Glad I saw it. Isn’t the Balrog Book Nook set coming out this Summer now rumored to be about 1200 pieces and $115? That puts it around $.09/piece. Which means the Shire set is even more out of sync at $270? Editing to add: just saw this in an article for whatever it’s worth: ”Christiansen also told the Financial Times Lego would not "overreact" to President Donald Trump's tariffs, with the company shipping most of its US inventory from Mexico, adding that the company had got through the Covid pandemic "by not overreacting, and it’s the same approach here."
  18. I don’t, unfortunately, but from pictures it also looks like it won’t match any of the pieces
  19. I put the three next to each other on a variety of plates: https://imgur.com/a/EMJ5oHq The left column is the new trans light blue, the middle column is my old trans light blue, and the right column is trans blue. The difference is most noticeable on the white plate, but even on the darker plates the two left columns catch the light differently and you can tell they’re different shades. I’m sure the right mix of the two trans light blue would make a decent effect for water though? Edit: the biggest issue is that the left column is a little too clear while the other two columns blur the underlying plate more, giving it a little more depth for water.
  20. Interesting! And thanks for sending! This is the first I’ve found of the same color issue online despite searching the last couple days. LEGO is very kindly sending replacement parts, so hopefully they match one of the colors I have? I’m using it for a MOC with lots of water. LEGO was asking if I was accidentally comparing transparent light blue to transparent blue. If anyone else is curious, here’s a comparison of all 3 colors: https://imgur.com/a/A3c7ubj Top: new trans light blue received this week Middle: trans light blue already in my collection Bottom: trans blue already in my collection
  21. So strange! It’s definitely not the satin trans light blue. It’s almost a clear light turquoise. I’ve never seen a piece this color before, and it’s definitely off from other trans light blue pieces. And it’s 100% legit LEGO. Just wish their email reply had some more info on what happened.
  22. Got a Pick a Brick situation that has me stumped. I recently received an order that included 300 "transparent light blue" 1x2 tiles. But the color is noticeably different than the "transparent light blue" tiles I've received in past PAB orders or LEGO sets. Image: https://imgur.com/a/XePJ274 The top is “transparent light blue” ID: 6251295/35386 that I just ordered. The bottom is “transparent light blue” from previous orders/sets. Never had such a noticeable difference in color before? It almost looks like what I received is a satin trans light blue but without the satin finish/no sparkles? On the PAB site there's element ID: 6251295 (which I ordered) and Element ID: 6514227 (opalescent, which I didn't order) and then element ID: 6514224 (another trans light blue?). I emailed LEGO about it and all they said was they would send replacement parts, no clarification on what happened. Anyone know what’s up?
  23. My Deku Tree preorder has been charged and officially is "in the warehouse." I haven't preordered a set in a while, so not sure how long it'll take to ship, especially with the holiday on Monday in the US. But fingers crossed it gets here quickly. So excited! That does help! I peeked at some reviews to understand that more, and I think my best bet will be to just build the Breath of the Wild version and see what's left over. Then I can see how much of the Ocarina of Time tree I can build with my own collection of pieces and bricklink the rest? Hopefully there aren't too many recolored pieces that are only in this set.
  24. Seen quite a few reviews of the Legend of Zelda set up on YouTube. So excited. I’ve been waiting decades for official LEGO Zelda, so price wasn’t a deterrent. Since I’ve got it preordered, so I’m trying to avoid spoilers/not watching full reviews. Has anyone seen a breakdown of what the recommended method will be to get the necessary pieces to build both versions of the Deku Tree? Are there a lot of new colors that won’t be easy to source from Bricklink, etc? If the most cost effective way to build both is to buy 2 sets, that’ll be a bummer.
  25. Based on that image of the back of the set, I’m 99% sure there’s a hinge in the set. The top of the taller roof is at a different angle, and you can just make out the bump in one of the plate hinges. It looks like the upstairs where the beds are is exposed because that half of the thatched roof was removed, so it must be loose/fits into those panel pieces. But it’s an odd place to hinge the set, unless it’s just to get better access for playing?
