Malak looks great. It might even look better with picture pictures and/or in hand. It looks like he has some dark red on red print. Often times it's hard to capture those matching-color-details & it requires that sheen of light to make them pop. (While I'm concerned about the dark colors for the collar/belt printing on the torso, they look fine on the legs so hopefully the printing on both body parts look crisp on the final product.) His fabrics in the game look black but, seeing as how (a) action figure versions set the precedence using brown and (b) it being easy to replace, this isn't a problem. While I could nitpick the lack of a (a) fabric piece, (b) dual molded legs, the latter isn't standard & the former would've required a new piece for the "loin cloth". (I'll probably play around with keeping the hips & changing the legs and/or adding a cloth 'skirt'.) What's most important is that they gave us a new piece for his mechanical jaw. Well done, Lego. Fives, on the other hand, the homage to the monster that ate Cutup on the helmet is no longer recognizable. The only way that can be fixed is using a knock-off. Again, I could nitpick the lack of fabric piece & dual molded legs but c'est la vie. Same goes for the massive ammo pouch; that's the precedence set by Rex so OK. While I prefer the 2014 torsos for movie Clones, these "new" ones are the best match for Clone Wars P2 armor so I do prefer it for Clone Wars characters like Fives here. I do think the lack of printing on the "crotch" part of the legs isn't as striking in this photo as it was the previous leak, so that's an improvement. Ironically, imo arm printing is the one detail that isn't needed. I'd much rather dual molded legs (when applicable) followed by dual molded arms. That in mind: the arm printing on this fig is superb. It really goes a long way in capturing the details/'tools' the ARC Troopers have at their disposal. Lastly, unfortunately, I have a potential gripe: Why is the pauldron flat? Either print onto the 2012 ARC Trooper piece or, if they couldn't figure out how to make printing/multiple colors work, use the Venator Palpatine technique & use multiple pauldrons to get the curvature & multiple colors. They've found solutions in the past; why would they settle for such an unflattering look now? I'm hoping it's not more regression & it's not the final look (e.g. missed neck holes, it sits differently with a neck bracket, the photographer used a CAC cloth, etc.). Fingers crossed for face printing with his "5" tattoo. That alone would mean a purist Fives without flaw could be assembled... of him escaping Kamino... using plain P2 armor lol. EDIT: Perfect! -

I may end up buying a lot of this latest BP even though I prefer no helmet holes. Commonly with Lego, even though I'm not satisfied with the end-product, I often still buy it because it's just good enough. To me, the fact that I often do spend so much gives me even more reason to be dissatisfied with the sub-par product (relative to what TLG is capable of). Personally, I do think the 2014 Clones are the best they've done. They're even better when you combo the helmets + torsos with the newer heads + legs. It baffles me that some parts got better while others got worse, which seems to be the trend with Clones. A lot of people say the same about Stormtroopers (e.g. Family Guy helmets) so it's not just Clones but they're the ones I'm most personally disappointed about. I can go back and get old 212th, old Stormtroopers, etc. I can't go back and get 2014 variant helmets + torsos of the 501st, 332nd, Fox, Fives, etc. I should clarify that I think Lego Star Wars, and the brand in general, has been doing a lot right. For that matter, I agree with a great deal of the things that are said on this forum - I just happen to post/respond to/about things that I dislike/disagree with most of the time. My TLG fandom is like rooting for an underperforming sports team that you know can do better. I'm passionate about them, I want the best for them, I see opportunity for improvement, and I focus on that. But I can do a better job of being more balanced and voicing praises more often. -

100% Maybe I'll get some photos and/or a video of our family's Lego disPLAYroom here in a few months. Still waiting on finishing touches. With kids, especially, I prioritize playsets that have good display-ability. UCS AT-AT, Razor Crest, Cantina, etc. are givens but I have the playset Falcon > UCS because it has more interior playspace. This is really disappointing news but thank you for delivering it. -

Agree about the figs. That's disappointing. It's not quite the Cantina since most of the action happens outside/on top of the Barge but, while inside, it's all the aliens that give it life. It'd be strange for them to furnish the interior but not populate it. imo the minimum "Razor Crest-sized lineup" is Jabba, Crumb, Leia, server R2, and at least 3 aliens (since there are at least that many atop the Barge in basically all scenes). Those at least allow you to display the scenes from a spectator's view. 3PO is integral to the scenes, too, but he mostly stays inside & I doubt many of us would be complaining since we likely wouldn't be getting the dual molded version anyways. Speculating here: perhaps they're intentionally avoiding populating the inside so they can omit Leia? That in mind, I could see as little as a 2-fig plaque including just Jabba & server R2... "Cursed" Star Wars ships/walkers is practically a subtheme over on the SW Reddit. I'm sure the designers took some inspiration from that, just like they did after the whole tensegrity fad. -

Too soon for Ahsoka the (Snow) White to be re-used? I think the Falcon figs are cool but, as others have said, the set would’ve been used towards other things—like a Mantis ship for Kal. I would’ve rather had that (or different set) plus a May the 4th drip feed of those other characters every May the 4th for the next few years. (Surprised they didn’t include the black “Battle Arena” variant of Boba Fett in the Falcon—given all of the other figs.) And, just generally speaking, I may end up feeling the same way about the entire wave: enticing figs but little-to-no interest in the builds. Definitely interested to see the builds for the Death Star, the Skiff & Pit (as well as Boba’s torso) since those have the greatest potential to me at the moment. -

That's a lot of sets... for none of them to be system scale. The rumored Darth Maul is a minifigure, right? As in it couldn't have been reference to a BHz? -

I’m not really a fan of the line (I just have Luke & my daughter has Ahsoka) so I was agreeing with you up until I actually considered the Q. QGJ is one of my favorite characters & I recommend doing a search for Amidala Brickheadz—the custom(s) out there look great. Darth Mail would surely be popular. Ofc you’d have some that are less interesting but that’s the point of these large packs… to make you buy more than you’d otherwise be interested in. -

Depends on the context. Morai has appeared in Live Action (as has the father, as a statue). If they've only appeared in LA, or first appeared in LA, etc., then, yeah, Mortis characters would be out. These would also be potential concerns: Tied to an object or vehicle - Dagger? Bird? Ahsoka? WBW/Mural? Could shoot - ??? Could drive Honda civic - No clue what this means. Too bad Valorum didn't wear white otherwise civic could mean politics. Lived a peaceful life - I mean, up until... -

It’s safe to say that TLG does market research (e.g. looking at product selection of other companies). Hasbro has been releasing a variety of KOTOR figures. Mostly version of Revan but, still, it does indicate there’s interest to justify their additional releases. I’m sincerely not sure what market comps TLG could make for High Republic. Thanks for your responses. He’s hit-or-miss & he knows it. I suspect this is more likely to be a hit than his others so my post was for those that enjoys following -reasonably possible- rumors. For the folks reading only interested in PromoBricks or Renown-level leaks: ignore his info. -

LifeBricks suggested the other day that Mando Season 3 Gideon is coming out in 2024: "We don't need Moff Gideon in that [UCS Tie Interceptor] set." Earlier in the video, he (less confidently) speculated that one of the unknown sets could be Mando Season 3 related. If I were to speculate using these breadcrumbs, he or a source has seen a leaked piece but he/they're not sure where we'd get it. He's been hit-or-miss on leaks so I wouldn't count this as confirmation of anything. However, he's been privy to info before the general public in the past, so this does give some substance to anybody hoping to see the figure and, potentially, more of S3 represented in Lego. -
imo the cape doesn’t mesh well with the shoulder armor piece. The best looks are either the one above or a black hood + cape. Maybe a thin Mando Battle Pack cape but it doesn’t match the size of his robes in the show. That variant does work well for Shin, though.

This is awesome news. I'm looking forward to both of these. Good idea. Let's look at specifics: 20th ANNIVERSARY SETS $19.99 75262: Imperial Dropship ("Bonus" 5th Minifigure) $29.99 75261: Clone Scout Walker (3rd minifigure or 5th if you could the Battle Droid and/or Dwarf Spider) $29.99 75258: Anakin's Podracer (3rd minfigure) $39.99 75259: Snowspeeder – 20th Anniversary Edition (4th minifigure) $119.99 75243: Slave I (5th Minifigure) 25th ANNIVERSARY SPECULATION Ideal Candidates 75378 Grogu’s Escape €29.99 - Beck, Grogu, and, likely, 1+ Clone adversary. If I recall correctly, Solid Bricks said in his review that the side panels come off fairly easily & that there’s plenty of space within the side wings to add some minifigure action. From a microscale perspective, I’ve heard a lot of defenders saying “look at the technic spine—there would’ve been no way to keep it stable AND have an interior” but there’s technic brick that’s bent a 90 degrees (among other solutions) that could’ve been used to create a narrow rectangular gap in the frame where the doors are supposed to open—particularly since the nose doesn’t come to a sharp point. -

Agreed on diminishing returns (I mentioned that in my first post today) but, still, I think you're severely underestimating how much Clones sell... Personally, I aim to have enough of each faction to do basically any kind of MOC with my kids when they're older. X number of each kind of Clones, Y number of each kind of OT Imperials, and, Rebels, well, basically one of each version over the years; it makes them look more mis-matchy and true to the movies. The Rebels are supposed to be outmatched, too, after all; you just don't need many. There aren't that many OT Imperial variants so I'm basically set unless I want to upgrade & I'm not really a fan of the current Stormies. Imperial or Imperial-adjacent stuff from the Disney era is very hit-or-miss for me and a lot of people feel the same way. It's cool a lot of people on this forum have been voicing that it's time to bring back ST sets, but there are still a lot of disappointed fans that still have no interest in the ST or and have become just as dis-interested in debating the Disney era. Clones, though; there's still a deep mine of Lucas-era variants that people would continue to buy in mass quantities. Of course; that's just my approach/opinion. However, since the 'dark times' first started a few years ago, I started buying old lots & new sets to build up my collection & to sell the rest. I'm not just speaking from my own tastes but, rather, I know what people tend to buy, how often, and for how much. I've sold Clone stuff from my personal collection because I thought prices were just too high. They're definitely not as hot as they were, but they still sell consistently at above-average prices. OT does OK. Lots of generic figs (like the ones you listed) for middling prices, but they don't sell much unless you sell them for, well, ST fig sorts of prices. ST has gone up a bit, supply & demand, but Lego would really need to leverage product/program synergy and/or do something special with them to have the things you listed pop like Clone packs will. It's not a perfect way to gauge the entire market, but I feel like my experience gives me some good visibility/insight into the broader market/demand/interest. Like, a "vs." Battle Pack could work if it were released alongside a MBS Endor - which likely isn't coming soon with the Sail Barge (and maybe something for the ROTS Anniversary) coming up. Shore Troopers & Death Troopers could be solid if they're prominent in Andor S2. Rebel Fleet Troopers, not so much; most people will be satiated with what they can get from however many copies of the Hallway set they'll buy. First Order figs were already high quality & can still be had at reasonable prices. Gideon's troops (3 Mandos + 1 P. Guard) would be interesting from a sales POV since people seemed to think S3 was mediocre but the character designs themselves are cool. Sorry I didn't have time to workshop that & make it shorter lol. -

Completely agree but imo Stormies are the exception & I don’t think there’s a flood of other BP options that’d match current Clone sales. We’d probably also agree that they’ll do another one eventually, but they’re seemingly adverse to doing them too often. The latest version can’t be /too/ readily accessible /too/ fast….. -

The upcoming battle pack sounds great. It's a pseudo Bad Batch army builder, too, since those are the main two Imperial Era P2 variants. There's also Kamino Security (the gray Shock Troopers), Fallen Order's 13th Battalion, & those troops on Coruscant with the very subtle gray accents in ROTS. Of course, there's also named characters, P1, & specialist designs (e.g. Galactic Marines, 2nd Battle of Geonosis variants). Feels like the only ones guaranteed are Wolfpack & Kashyyyk (based on that game) and Star Corps because of the Macro piece (hopefully the helmets aren't too much of an issue). I'll keep buying but I'd think fatigue + less interest for these lesser battalions will likely slow down interest & sales & future sets. We've yet to see a set with Clone(s) in one of those holiday sets, whereas the Snowtroopers are being bundled with the Hoth AT-ST this year. I could be wrong but, more often than not, I see those bundles as incentives for selling sets TLG is looking to move. Even if I'm wrong about that, there's no denying that the Hoth Rebels pack is still available for 20% off... Not saying variety isn't needed, but they can't just keep doing plain OT re-treads & expect it to sell on par with popular Clones. -

Our forum spent a lot of time debating the proportions of the UCS Gunship before it was revealed. Ultimately, those that said it'd be greater than minifigure-scale proved to be correct. However, these prelim photos show me that the line of thinking that "It wouldn't make sense to make a UCS Gunship in the $200-250 range." wasn't sound. If this is mid-$100s, we definitely needed a low-$200s UCS version. As feared, it looks like we're not going to get a displayable yet proportional Gunship. -

It's a plausible theory but I tend to agree with omega here - they've been doing a lot of waves & ships. The Gunship is a prequel staple. It probably sold well enough for them to green-light the variants, using the standard mold while it was still available. Blue is Plo's Bros. It made a few appearances throughout the Clone Wars. Green is Separatist Nightmare" & is used by Ki-Adi Mundi in the 2nd Battle of Geonisis Clone Wars arc. (The 4th variant of the group, the Crumb Bomber, is also seen a few times in the show. It's just a standard 501st with a paint job.) -

Hhalycron means the design of the helmet closely resembles the Shock Trooper design. Yes, there may be differences in the actual Lego helmets due to the helmet holes but, still, 187th is the closest we can get going off of official products & we can’t fully forecast the impact they’ll have on the design. I’m really looking forward to the Shock Troopers because they’ll be the first Clones that undeniably benefit from having cheek printing. Lots of us prefer the 2014 helmets because it leaves the shadow in that gap to the imagination whereas the newer ones unnecessarily color them in—but Shock Troopers have, by design, red cheeks. It should be a nice upgrade from Lego’s animated version. -

Anybody know where the list of sets & release dates can be found? I didn’t see them at the start of the thread. That’s Red Leader Garven Dreis & Gold Leader Dutch Vander, right?
