  1. It could be that everyone who voted for the Medusa, Roman Commander, and Revolutionary Soldier would pick her as second favorite. One must not be everyone's best friend to have the most friends.
  2. I think you mean centaurs. And if LEGO makes minidoll centaurs before minifigure centaurs, I think there will be rioting.

  4. Bing! We have a winner!
  5. I disagree, I don't think it looks that bad from the side. It's not as big a deal as the other issues the black torso causes. If they were to implement side printing, though, that would be excellent.
  6. That looks better then the black by far. Too bad it doesn't have the necklace print.
  7. Never say never, but I don't think it will be anytime soon.
  8. Still, I think it's possible, and there is a sizable audience for it.
  9. I disagree with this statement. Nexo Knights and Elves cover some of the aspects of a Castle theme, but certainly not a lot. I don't expect to ever see a real classic Castle theme again, which is heartbreaking. If we do see one, it will likely be a single wave years from now.

  11. And why I don't expect it to happen. But if they include some much wanted minifigures that are hard to find, the sales could be just as good.
  12. I bought the last one from the nearest TRU, and the next nearest was sold out. And when the online promotion happened, I wasn't quick enough and missed out because they were gone quickly. I'd say that's fairly successful. But both your scenario and mine are merely anecdotal and cannot be considered a true measure of success. Minifigure completionists are likely a small percentage of the overall purchasers. And yes, a true completionist would either buy and display the entire series, or skip it and go on to the next one. Again, I'm not saying it's likely, but I do think it's possible. It would allow me and others to pick up older minifigures for retail value, rather than paying the extortionist scalpers a ridiculous sum of money (seriously, they are expensive enough at retail), which is always a good thing for the majority of LEGO customers.

  15. Technically scmechnically, there is an obvious difference between a set and a minifigure. Yes, a minifigure may 'technically' be a set, but I don't think it will necessarily suffer the same fate as a set in a re-release situation. It will depend on which minifigures get re-released, obviously, but as long as they are desirable and popular, there's no reason to expect sales to be flat. I still don't expect them to do a re-release minifigure series, and I think that sales will not be quite as good as releasing 16 new minifigures.
  16. I personally have no issue with the yellow skin. I'm glad you went with it. Aside from that, the build itself is nice, and looks sturdy. The design on the table is solid, as well. I like all of the children watching the duel. Considering the beam, at first sight I thought "Expellilegus!" I hope you have a lot of fun at the conventions. Nice job!
  17. Minifigures aren't old sets. They are minifigures, and were only available for a limited time (more limited than most sets on average). While I don't expect them to make Series 17 a best of series, it is entirely possible and I wouldn't mind at all. In fact, I would love that. It would give me (and many others) a chance to pick up minifigures from previous series that we missed out on. And I'd say the Chicken Suit Guy at Easter this year is a good example of how that can be successful.
