    I was totally not expecting that for a designer video. If this is a new format they're trying out, then they also need combine with Theo previius format that shows us the details of the modular. there is a video on here where the designer showed of his original design for the car dealership modular. It was so much better.

    Those are are still skeptical sometimes change their mind when they see the designer video. I hope the video comes out this week.

    It's a good design too, but I really like the original. Also, I love that radio tower that he originally wanted.

    Yes. And the design for the car dealership was really cool. I wish would have kept that design and just do something else besides the dealership.

    The curving of the roof is spectacular. Everything about it is wow. If they went with that design I could see it as a full gym on the first floor with a possibility of the gym continuing onto the 2nd floor. And maybe have the third floor be juice bar/healthy restaurant. The 2nd and 3rd floor with all the Windows remind me of a gym I worked in.

    Has anyone seen this video posted by @LegoModularFan on the Modular Rumors forum? Its so cool to see the process and different steps of creating a modular. I really liked Mike's (the designer) original idea of a car dealership. That first design was amazing. I understand why they didnt do a car dealership, but he should have stuck with his first design of the dealership and made it into something else. Mike said that this was about 1.5 years in the making, and it makes me think about what changes and ideas they already have for the 2019 modular.

    I think so too. And I welcome it. I love the variety. I would have thought the the CMF series would have been a good place to expand on more flesh tone faces. Some of the series have green, blue faces so I don't see why LEGO can't include more flesh tone faces in the future series.

    Change is hard for some people. I on the other hand, love and welcome the change from classic smiley faces to faces with expressions. Well done LEGO.

    I'm guessing that the guy in the picture designed it. I'm so anxious to see the designer video.

    Good find guys. These look amazing. Something similar incorporated into a future modular would be awesome.

    Love the Downtown Diner. Colors look great and the change in minifogure faces is a nice surprise. After 10 years that change is welcome. Only complaint I have is that the 2nd and 3rd floors look a bit small because of the open space on the left side of each floor.

    E X A C T L Y. P.S. before the DD was announced or a pic was leaked, conversation regarding the minifigures faces always seemed to be more about switching them for the newer different expression faces. I like the change.

    A lot of spice. The Diner looks so much better with official pictures. Only complaint I can think of, and it's minor, is that the 2nd & 3rd floors look small on top of the Diner. But an amazing modular. Xome on designer video.

    What a coincidence. I've been thinking that LEGo should make a Bed and Breakfast modular. Meanwhile, official pictures from others themes are have been out in the last few days. It's just a mttwr of time until the 2018 modular official announcement comes.

    I really do think this is the 2018 modular. I hope the pink Cadillac isn't unproportioned like the limo was in PC.

    WOW WOW. Looks good. Of it is real, then LEGO has been paying attention to some of our requests. More color, architecture, and minifigure faces with expression. We've been discussing these for a while now.

    I can see it happening. But I imagine the tower would be in the middle of the modular. I think it would look weird of it was on the left or roght of the modular.
