[MOC] [Instructions] Dmarkng's Hammerhead Corvette
Hunter003 replied to Cjd223's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Has anyone built this yet? Although I love the model there a few areas of sagging present in the flickr pictures, especially around the engine area. just wondering if these are a concern?- 12 replies

Love it.........especially like the stands.....the trans clear is far better than the black stands that come with UCS models.
-
Awesome.....great attention to detail.....bet the minifigs set you back a few quid......

I would like to build an imperial probe droid in a UCS scale. I see various designs on the net.....my question is, can anyone recommend a good existing moc that I can plagiarise/modify or replicate? Many thanks in advance

I used a bit of superglue of the front on the MF to keep the 3 wedges tight together. They just kept opening up as per your photo every couple of days. Its done the trick. I need to get that cockpit and side vents ordered as it really lifts the look of the MF.

No drooping since it was sat on shelf 2 years ago. Also going without the hose tubes gives it a more skeletal look that I think is more appealing........and more inexpensive!

Photographs of mine brick linked a few years ago. Went with the silver wheels and think it looks fine.

The fleet is complete! MF has been moved! Over the moon with the final product. Photos honestly do not do it justice. Big thanks to Mortesv for this awesome creation. Can I just say that the GR-75 was a nightmare to build! Anyway........on to the next project..........

Pleased to say its finally complete........Very relieved its done and love the final result. GR-75 on the way with some micro fighters.

I have another question. I am at the stage of fitting the top panel. I get that it may be difficult to press on but is there the need for removal at a later stage? Twice now others have said it is a nightmare to remove. i also had an absolute nightmare with mounting the bottom engine for some reason. Got it in the end with a few tweaks

Love it

Well I am now on around page 500.........I have to say it's been an emotional roller coaster so far.....moments of enjoyment.....moments of absolute rage when parts fly off everywhere.......what I have found to be successful for the work below the main body is to butt two pillows together and place the model in the 'valley' of the pillows. i am not looking forward to joining the 2 main sections together......looks painful.........I have also had to use Kraggle on more than one occasion............can't wait to get it up on the stands????

Last order in at Bricklink! Got about 12 packages en route from all over the globe. Looking forward to the build but also a little scared with the amount of comments highlighting various issues.....
-
I have a question that has been glossed over slightly before........how easy is it to move once fully built? I will have to build this on the floor of my loft/Lego room and will then be faced with the challenge of lifting it up onto a shelf once complete. This is slightly concerning me.....
