  1. According to a post in a 10179 thread on the Bricklink forum someone managed to get the manual code and locate it on the Lego site. Apparently its 134+Mb and no, I haven't tried to download it!! http://assets.lego.com/bigdownloads/buildi...ons/4525430.pdf David
  2. If someone sold modified versions of this for 9v tracks I'd buy a couple. Are my eyes decieving me or is that simply aluminium foil glued to the tracks in which case I doubt it would work without a connecting wire between each small section of track. I'm no expert though. David
  3. More purchases from LS@H over the past month Tiecrawler AT-AT 10178 x 2 Millenium Falcon 10179 received Belville advent calendar Burlington Santa Fe locomotive Ordered 15 boxes of 9v track !! I'm hedging my 9v bets - I wonder if these will appear in top 25 soon Picked up in local Smyths Toystore 8275 technic bulldozer for
  4. I agree that anyone willing to put their MOCs up for critical review deserves encouragement. And on the theme of imperial troops entering the base here's my one and only MOC to date http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?m=Dfenz I've stuck it in the MOC by individual index but as no comments can be posted there I'll be a bit cheeky and sneak it in here. David
  5. Lego's not so random number generator strikes again. My Falcon number is 5306 and I live in Ireland. I ordered it almost as soon as was possible in February. David
  6. In the Bricklink Forum Ken AKA SpaceKadet indicated he had the number 21!! David
  7. There are some excellent suggestions in this thread to date. The one that caught by imagination is the shop @ home exclusive theatre. While it might be an expensive set a properly done 'cafe corner' detailed theatre exterior with red carpet and ticket booths, steps/ pillars etc. Once inside there could be a foyer with counters and elaborate stairs leading to a twin level theatre that obviously would need to be stepped. There could be a balcony (think muppets here), a 'producer area/projector area and plenty of scope for a stage, trap door, curtains, lights etc., obviously with a removable roof and an accessible back stage/ side entrance. Cafe Corner style lettering could be employed to showcase a Lego 'play' or musical. Plenty of seats would be a prerequisite for all those bored city citizens that are fed up with police chases and fires. David
  8. Just wondering was there any sign of better deals in the discount market? The offers in Billund weren't that great earlier in the year but maybe more sets are on discount now I'm off to Gunzburg in late October and was wondering if the three European parks discount their lego prior to the winter closure. Surely they'd try to shift stock prior to the winter closure, or do they? David
  9. Now that the UCS Falcon sets are shipping it will be interesting to see what limited edition numbers people get. I presume a register will be established on one of the AFOL sites as I recollect a similar register was maintained for the Santa Fe engines that had limited numbers. We will also presumably get the first concrete idea of how 'limited' this first edition actually is (by monitoring the highest numbers allocated) I have a sneaky suspicion that many of those that wanted this set badly enough will have ordered the limited edition by now (especially to avail of the free postage offer). This begs the question as to how many non 'limited' sets will be produced in any second wave. Ironically if Lego takes the view that sales have peaked I suppose there is a chance that the second wave might in fact be more limited than the first - meaning that collectors will probably wish to acquire a second edition falcon also. My two cent.
  10. Yoda, I hope you ordered it at that price. Its now gone up to
  11. If anyone's interested in Exoforce, the Humans v Robots collection K8102 (6 sets 8100 to 8105) has been reduced from
  12. I bargained a store manager down to acquire a Sentai Fortress 7709 for
  13. I agree. I've just finished mine also. I particularly like the very solid feel to it and the landing gears which are very robust. Not the most beautiful of sets but quite detailed and bigger than it looks in pics. David
  14. I know you are only relaying what you have been told but I find that a bit hard to believe as the sets have been on sale now for several weeks both in Europe and the US and the problem is still arising. Has anyone purchased a set yet with the correct head? While I can't believe that only 100 sets have this problem, if they did, does this mean I've a limited edition!!
  15. You are correct. That white baseplate is not included in the set.
  16. I bought two of these sets in the US recently. On my return I immediately contacted Lego for replacement heads and today two replacement flesh Qui-Jon heads arrived!! Get on the phone people!! David

    #10020?

The Santa Fe loco and railcars are now sold out on LS@H Europe. Expect a price hike on these at the other sources. David
  18. So that's what they all amount to when built! I'd better not let the wife see that pic *sweet*
  19. THIRD SERIES SPOILER BELOW - BEWARE Don't forget that the Doctor has a Time Machine. Any enemy supposedly destroyed can reappear in the series at any time by simply going back in time. If the Doctor was to go back in time to when the Daleks were being created surely he could meet Davros. Obviously this requires the Doctor to be very careful when he goes back in time as the simplest error could change history - a common problem in Sci-Fi. On that logic I'm not sure why the Master also couldn't return by the mechanism of the Doctor simply jumping forward again to the end of the universe and meeting the old master again before he regenerated into the new Mister Saxon version. I'm not sure if the Doctor's actions would have changed that timeline so presumably that earlier version of the Master is still out there. Indeed if the Doctor can meet earlier or even later versions of himself then presumably he can meet earlier versions of other adverseries including Daleks simply by going back to a point when they existed. David
  20. I was in the Lego Store Downtown Disney Anaheim CA last Friday and saw it there. The Hoth Base and republic Cruiser had also just arrived. David
  21. Just back from a trip to the US with a suitcase full of new sets. Picked up the star wars sets 7660, 7661, 7662 (widely available in Target/Walmart) and 7663 (legoland California) and Hoth Base and Republic Cruiser (Lego Anaheim). I also got the bat copter and bat tanksets and some of the new city sets. In the racers line I got bullet run. In the meantime my complete castle collection arrived from LS@H. Now to pay off the credit card!!
  22. A heads up for those of you in UK and Ireland. The New Argos catalogue has some new sets available from tomorrow. Irish prices (in euro) City Harbour
  23. If you check out Bricklink you will find a large number of US professional sellers that will ship new sets to the UK. As Lego releases some sets in Europe before the US you might not be able to get all new sets from one US location just yet. I've purchased from a lot of sellers on that site without any difficulties (just stick to the high feedback guys). Postage from the US tends to be reasonable but watch out for customs duty. If the parcel is large/ valuable enough and is inspected by customs the duty and VAT will outweigh any saving! David
  24. I've ordered it as part of the K7029 Complete Castle Collection (delivery before 1 August). The strange thing is that this collection is not yet available in the US. The castle collection on LS@H USA excludes the SSA. As I noted in a separate thread the price of the complete collection fluctuates widely around Europe with the cheapest place to get it being Ireland and the dearest Finland. David
