LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
benderisgreat replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Kanan's speeder is the best smaller set out of 5 released this year( Carbon Freezing Chamber, Attack on Hoth, Obi-Wan's Jedi Interceptor, Droid Escape Pod). It has great minifigure selection, a cheap way to get Kanan, and more importantly 4 spare medium blaster!!! Since Battlepacks don't include regular blasters anymore I think it's the best thing about Kanan's Speeder set! The worst thing for me is that this set is retail exclusive. Retail exclusive sets aren't available to buy where I live unfortunately. I kinda wish Obi-Wan's interceptor set was retail exclusive since it's pretty bad compared to Kanan's Speeder, and personally I think Kanan's set would have been a best seller set if it was wide release set. -
So I had this question since I built Misfortune Keep, is Nadakhan the best villain minifigure? I really love him both as a character and a minifigure , and I think he is the best villain minifigure since Overlord in 2014. So who is your favorite villain minifigure?

That would be nice, but if Maul doesn't die in season 2 finale, I think Lego will certainly include his minifigure in a Rebels set. -

So since it's now official that Darth Maul is appearing in Rebels, do you guys think that retail exclusive set with Ahsoka might include his new minifigure? Or maybe there's a chance he will appear in January 2017 sets since Ep8 sets were moved to September 2017? Personally I'd love to see him in Rebels set. -
DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion

Personally I don't like the build of new Batwing set. The biggest draw of the set is definitely Wonder Woman minifigure , which is phenomenal. Lex minifig and his copter look lazy to me( they reuse comic book face of Lex). And while Avenjet set has s lot of flaws, Thanos and Capt Marvel figs are big reason to consider buying the set.- 8,446 replies

Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion

This polybag is dissapointing to say the least. Same AoU torso that came in 5 sets total, and a bike with flick fire missile. If it's free with purchase than it may be somewhat popular, but if it's 5-10$ I doubt it will interest someone. -

I like Temple of Airjitsu as well, but how can you compare UCS set to normal set? It's different entity all, together. -
Lego Ninjago 2016

Bought 3 sets today: Ninja Bike Chase, Tiger Widow Island & Misfortune Keep. To be honest and didn't expect to like Bike chase set , but it is really good! Enjoyed the build and the final result. Tiger Widow Island is the best set of this wave! Really loved the building process, and the look of complete build. The temple looks great, and I love the use of Aqua blue plates to represent the water. Also it's the only way to get Dogshank bigfig, and the cheapest way to get both ghost Cole and Airjitsu gee Nya. Personally ,besides Airjitsu Temple (which is ucs, so it doesn't count) Tiger Widow Island is my favorite Ninjago set in past 2 years! If you want to buy one Skybound set I suggest this one as its a really good value, and an awesome set ! Then there's Misfortune Keep , the set I only bought for Nadakhan. I liked the build, but not as much as Tiger Widow though. It also took me around 3 hours to build it, which is longer than it took me to build Superhero Airport Battle ( which has more pieces). The minifigures of this set are good, but all of them besides Nadakhan can be found in other sets. I love that they gave Jay new double sided face( his updated face is long overdue), Kai and Lloyd both look great. But build wise I am not happy with final results! It's too small to even feet 6 minifigs included in a set! It a lot smaller than in show which is understandable, but makes me wish they made it 200 pcs more to at least make it fit more minifigures. So I am a bit disappointed with this set. Also I wanted to point out that Lloyd doesn't come with new shoulder pad in any sets both this wave and summer one. Really dissapointed by this, he is the only ninja without this shoulder pad. -

On the pictures from NY Toy Fair it looks like Vader has different printing, but the same 2 part mask as in 75093. -
This might sound crazy, but hear me out. Leo finally won an Oscar today, and whole world was supporting him, which proves that minifigure series based on his most famous roles could be successful , if Lego would make it. Just imagine minifigures based on his characters from :"The Aviator", "Titanic ", "Departed", "Blood Diamond " and "Revenant" just to name a few. And of course one minifigure with a Oscar in his hand to represent this eventful day. Would you want to buy this series?

Oh Cm4sci was asking about Skybound outfits and not summer outfits. My bad then. But summer ones are still unnamed right? -
Best Adventurers subtheme
benderisgreat replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
While I was introduced to Advantures through Egypt theme, the sub theme I remember the most is Dino island. I had almost all sets from this theme and it was really good. The Orient Expedition is another good sub theme I remember seeing it in catalogue a lot. -

The 2006 Batmobile had 1989 Batman look, and so did that version of Batman . Black suit with golden spot and bat symbol has Keaton written all over it. So this whole set was inspired by 1989 movie, so in a way that version of Batman is based on Michael Keaton.- 8,446 replies

So since this is a list of favorite minifigs owned it is different from my favorite minifigs overall. P.s. since I came out of dark ages of not collecting Lego about a year ago, my list might not be as impressive as some that people have posted here. 1) Dart Vader(75093) Its second version of Vader I own the first one was classic Vader from 2005. When comparing 2 versions you can see how far Lego has come in terms of minifigure quality: better torso and leg printing, new and improved helmet! 2015 version of Vader is just a perfect representation of iconic movie villain! 2) TFA C-3PO with red arm This is simply the best version of this protocol droid: highly detailed printing on arms and legs, and very accurate to the movie. 3) Kylo Ren (75104/75139) Great representation of a really interesting character. Even though Kylo's outfit in the movie isn't anything special, Lego managed to make a really detailed minifigure. While his helmet looks oversized, it's still a good representation of it. As for printing on the head I equally love both printed mask under the hood, and his face. His lightsaber is really good looking, but I wish it was done more accurately to the movie. 4) First Order Stormtrooper (75103,75104,75132,75139) What's there to say about newer, slicker looking Stormtroopers, besides that I want to have a ton of them for FO army? 5) Grand Inquisitor (75082) A really terrifying and impressive character on the Rebels show, his minifigure looks equally impressive. Love that he has unique armor piece, helmet and a lightsaber hilt. The only minor nitpick is he should have had elongated head to represent Pauan race. 6) General Grievous (75040) Even though Grievous improved body mold was made in 2010, I still think that this 2014 variant is the best version of the character. 7) Anakin Skywalker (9526) Really like this version of Anakin: accurate representation of EpIII Anakin. Torso and leg printing is superb, and I especially like 2 sided head: 1 normal face, 1 Sith face . 8) Finn (75105,75139) A great representation of a great character. Love the detail on jacket and face design. The only nitpick is lack of leg printing, but it's so minor that it's easy to forget. Honorable mentions: Captain Phasma, Luke Skywalker (75093), Sabine Wren , Obi-Wan Kenobi(75040).

I can't disagree with you more on Yularen minifig. Revan is definitely the best May 4th promo in my opinion. As for this years May 4th promo, I think it will either be Hoth Leia to go along with Hoth UCS, or some obscure alien from Ep 7( Guvian death gang?). -

Nice polybag, too bad that minifigure included is Squiffy, since he already is in 2 sets , it makes this polybag less desirable for me. Would have been better if they included Doubloon or Clancee. But the build looks good. -

Just bought Sky Shark set and love it! First time in over a year we can get Lloyd in cheap set( he looks awesome in Skybound gee),Flintlock is a really good minifigure as well. The build itself was really enjoyable and the result satisfying! So in the end it's really good set that's worth it's money! Definitely would recommend getting it. -

Bought all 3 Civil War sets today and 2 out of 3 are pretty good! Airport Battle is much better than I expected build-wise: air control tower is really good build, and new Quinjet despite being small is pretty good especially since I moded it a little bit by removing stop shooting mechanism. Giant -Man surprised me as it took 1 bag to build him didn't expect him to be so big, the same size as Hulkbuster armor. Minifigs of the set are superb, and I found great head to use on War Machine- First Order Crew Member, much better than silly Cyborg face! Iron Man only has new torso but it's a really great torso! Black Panther pursuit is really good set as well : jet is really sleek and it's a great build! Minifigs are great: Cap with hairpiece, Bucky and Black Panther. Crossbones heist is really bad set, I immediately disassembled jeep after I build it since it was a really bad build, and used pieces to improve new Quinjet. Minifigs are ok, Black Widow is the same as 2015 version, Crossbones is meh( they could have done better job with him, at least an armor piece), Falcon really misses double molded arms( to look like he does in movies). So overall not a bad wave, but could have been better. -

Just checked my local Lego store, they said every set will be available on Friday 26th. Then checked unofficial Lego store and they have every set available already, but it's on the other end of town! So might have to order them online. -
Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion
benderisgreat replied to Quicksilver's topic in LEGO Licensed
Giant Man is my favorite part of this set despite using so many stickers, and just like I said before control tower can be used for City Airport. Quinjet is totally unnecessary though and isn't that good looking too, so I'll probably uses its piece to improve 2015 Quinjet. -

Great review Just2good! But the set itself is even more disappointing than I expected: no minifigs beside Iron Man &War Machine have leg print ( seriously why Cap can't have double molded legs to repress his boots?). Why Lego reuses Cyborg face when they already have spot on Don Cheadle face from 2013 sets? The Quinjet is unnecessary as a better version was released last year. The control tower is the only salvageable part of a set since it can be used in City airport. Overall I am really dissapointed, but will still have to buy this set.
