Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion
benderisgreat replied to Quicksilver's topic in LEGO Licensed
Lego is really cheap with that double molded legs for spidey. Sure it's a reason for people to buy that crappy Rhino set, which will probably be retired soon enough. But I think more than anything it's Lego disrespecting us their buyers. I mean Spider-man minifig isn't that great, and these legs make him that much better. Like people on this forum mentioned Batman has a ton of versions and it seems like he gets 1or 2 new versions every year, while Spidey has 2 (2004 and current comic version). And while Lego had huge profits last year they still can't give us something as simple as either these legs in 100$(Which is a premium price for many people) or new version of Spidey. Unbelievable! If that doesn't say corporate greed, I don't know what does. Rant over. -

Is anyone else surprised that spidey doesn't have double molded legs in any sets? Especially 100$ bridge set, when he had these legs in 40$ crappy Rhino set. -

Love Ra's second expression, that crazy green glow in the eyes looks great for right out of Lazarus pit Ra's. Although I wish they had made crazy and normal younger Ra's face instead of super old face, I love this minifig! It's a shame he is in retail exclusive set though.- 8,446 replies

That small bit of detail make this minifigure totally worth it now! And to think we doubted Lego... This is best May 4th minifig ever!!! -

While I haven't seen the movie yet, in all promotional material he wears his AoU costume minus some red on his chest. Why everybody thinks he will wear chain mail suit? -

Marvel has rights to make merchandise based on X-men characters, but because Marvel and Fox have notoriously bad relationship, unlike Marvel and Sony(hence a ton of Spidey based sets), they focus merchandising mostly on their characters. So a lot of MCU and some Avengers Assemble sets are a must for Lego and other toy manufacturers. I don't understand why we even got 2 X-men sets in a first place tbh. -

This may be a little off-topic , but in recent SW short Lego showed old Lando! If he is in ep 8 that's what he might look like. -
Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion

it's possible but unlikely. If Spider-Man tv spot showed anything it's that some part of battle will take place in passengers terminal. And it's usually not connected to control tower, so they can make part of terminal which will be added to the scene, but won't be modular. -

The Airport set doesn't seem to be modular as far as I can see, after owning it for almost 2 months. There's no connection points like some other modular sets had, so if it is addition to airport scene, than its probably something like part of passanger terminal or something like that. -

That's probably Chinese factory quality issues, I recently compared printing on 2 figures : one made in Europe, one in China. The quality of European is way better, but no arm printing can be on European one for some reason. I don't understand exactly why only Chinese figures can have double molded arms or hand printing?- 4,155 replies

Lego Ninjago 2016
benderisgreat replied to LegendsOfNinjago's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Kryptarium Breakout is a good set just because of minifigures:cheap Stone Warrior ( albeit in prison robes), Soto(unfortunately also in prison robes), Kai with new armor piece(right now cheapest way to get this shoulder pad is 30$), nice new torso for Zane( more importantly Zanes hairpiece in silver) and a generic City policeman( would have preferred to get a Warden instead of him). The build is meh, but that's not what you'll buy this set for and Lego knows that. This set is similar to City set Fun in a Park which has a ton of minifigures but not that many builds. In my opinion Kryptarium Breakout is good set for what it offers. -

Yeah, new Goblin looks better in every way. My version of glider is missing just 2 parts in dark grey, because according to Bricklink they don't exist in this color. -

Green Goblins glider is pretty easy to remake, I built it myself using photos from NY toy fair. Now my Juniors version of Goblin has a proper glider! -
Disney Collectible Minifigures Series 1 Discussion

Wow this series of minifigures are bestsellers already! Visited my local Lego store, where sales started yesterday, and they are almost out of stock already! 4 boxes sold in 1 day, just a few leftovers were left. So I wasn't able to get every character that I wanted. Even Simpsons series didn't sell this well, so Disney minifigures series 2 are pretty likely to happen now.- 4,155 replies

Lego Ninjago 2016
benderisgreat replied to LegendsOfNinjago's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
yeah I also noticed them. It's strange that these 2 bad guys don't appear in any sets this wave, especially Samukai since his last appearance was 5 years ago. Still I have to say I'm not thrilled by idea of villains uniting against ninja as a next season story. This just screams desperatation , as if show writers ran out of ideas. But sets are much better than I expected. Samurai X cave is clearly the best Villains Uniting subtheme set.Sonic Raider is nice too , but it's just 20$ less, and if choosing between 2 of them Cave is better deal overall. -

Bridge set is one of the best superhero sets Lego has ever released! I mean great long awaited minifigures, very nice build, fair price. This is easily my most anticipated summer set, even at a 100$ price point. It's a good thing Superheroes sets get released in June in Europe, I'll have time to save up until August Star Wars sets. -

LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
benderisgreat replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
After seeing pictures of so called UCS Assault on Hoth I am even more confused why theres no Hoth Leia minifigure? I mean this set has 5 or 6 rebel troopers and no Leia, where is logic in that? Last Hoth Leia was released in 2009-2010, and this set was perfect opportunity to get her, but nope. And builds wise this set is a huge disappointment as well. And the strangest thing about this set is that it was designed by the same person who created amazing UCS Slave I. I guess everybody has a "bad day at the office ". -

Wow, this Samurai X cave is definitely the best summer set! Lighthouse Siege now moves to 2 place. Love both interior and outside looks of cave. It's cool that sets has so many nice details like smaller version of Samurai X mech, Nia's bike from earlier this year and a ton of others! Minifigure look great as well, although only Pythor seems new: Kryptor and Kozu are the same as before. Nya's and Lloyd's new outfits are the best of all ninjas and Wu is a nice addition as well! Really loking forward to this set.
