  1. I'm guessing yes, comic based. Now the fact that Carnage will be in movie, will help sell this set for Lego, but it won't be directly based on movie. Just my thoughts, though, I might be completely wrong Well yes, movie wise they have different sub studios for more adult-oriented content. With Deadpool I agree with you completely, when he joins Mcu he will definitely appear in some sets, but we are area years away from that.
  2. Just to begin, your arguments miss few points: those sets were made long ago, when Sony had merchandise right for Spiderman, so that's why they happened. Now for the main argument, Sony venomverse and MCU and different universes(as far as we know). Disney has no interest to promote competitors movies which usually fight for the same audience dollars as their MCU ones. And even in impossible situation say Disney needed quick $, they wouldn't do it, as Venom 2 is R rated! And Disney stays as far as they can from R rated association, same as Lego( who cancelled Deadpool set in 2016, after first movie came out as they were afraid to be associated with r rated character now.). So here's why there won't be Venom 2 sets. Now we can gets more sets with venom in summer in the same way we got a lot of Spiderverse characters in 2019 sets( sets weren't labeled as movie ones, but just had the same characters to make quick buck).
  3. You can't be more wrong here. Sony movies never got Lego sets and most likely never will, as Sony doesn't own merchandise rights to marvel characters they use, Disney does. They can make movies with them but not toys. 18+ sets can be anything, maybe new idea like helmets or mosaic, but definitely not Sony movies.
  4. Well, since Lego is going after leaked summer list, it's definitely legit. Just curious why would they do it, info is already out, can't really wipe our collective memory to forget the list.
  5. Well, if this wave is as good as it seems like it is, we might have best SW wave in along time.
  6. Sounds nice as I would love Endgame version of these characters. Buuut Hulk and Thanos would have to be bigfigs to do them justice, doing them as regular minifigs just won't work.
  7. Yes he is very reliable! He leaked Vaders Castle and no one believed him at the time. Then he leaked Mustafar duel set almost 1 year before it released, and Baby Yoda buildable figure among most famous leaks. So yes he IS RELIABLE. Just saying
  8. Props to MnR for this set list. This sounds super cool to me tbh: Maul and Ahsoka duel (must buy), Gideons Cruiser(must buy), Bad Batch shuttle ( likely a buy), Imperial Transport ( if it has S2 Greef a must buy), Gauntlet Fighter with Bo Katan (must buy). Slave I is kinda dissapoting as its OT based and not Mando. Why? We just had an OT version on shelves recently, we don't need another. This should have been Mandolorian version of the ship. But Ucs sets this time a kinda weird to me, is ne R2 a Ucs set or just buildable like Bb-8 on same scale? And 350$ for Gunship seem kinda steep tbh, would definitely have considered 200$ one, but 350$ is way to much. Still it's probably going to be best wave in a long time for SW fans.
  9. That could be green suit version with small horned crown of Loki from end of Ragnarok and beginning on Infinity War.
  10. So like more detailed Iron Man Mk85 from Endgame and better Iron Spider?
  11. If this Cmf is MCU based then I’m 99% sure we will get Endgame suits for characters who we didn’t get as figures in 2019. LEGO got so much flack from afol community for their handling of Endgame sets they surely must fix that issue.
  12. Yes!!! Finally Marvel cmf is happening! Really bad move on Legos part to make it 12 instead of at least 16 figures! Now let’s just hope it’s MCU based so we can get some missing suits from Endgame and others.
  13. Wow, new Mando set is sold out already! Good thing I managed to snag 1 before New Year. This just shows how big is a demand for Mando sets. Hope LEGO finally capitalizes on this hype with summer wave.
  14. If it’s Marvel cmf, then it’s definitely an MCU based figures not comics. They would be more marketable this way and Disney would obviously want to use this as a way to promote D+ shows. But if they do 2nd series it could be comic based. Just my 2cents.
  15. Same here. After LEGO basically rereleases Death Star Duel ( yes it’s a rerelease not a remake), Palpatin’s arrest is a next logical choice. It’s been almost 9 years from originals release, compared to 5 years for Death Star duel. It’s one of the better playsets LEGO ever made for Star Wars, and it’s been way too long since we got Ep 3 Palpatin(7 years). Price wise it depends on how big they want to go, 100$ price form leaked list would fit nicely, but I can also see them making it smaller at 60$.
  16. If new summer set list is real its definitely weird. 3 Ucs sets, kinda overkill... The rest of wave seems to be very small with 5 sets, but hopefully those will have quality over quantity.
  17. Builds were good and some minifigs like Gamora were awesome, buuut LEGO screwed us over with accurate Thanos design! And then they repeated it with Endgame sets. Main character didn’t get accurate figure because LEGO wanted to save a few $.
  18. Sure movie constantly changing release dates was a huge letdown and probably had an effect on Lego. But even if they were well into production of these sets I doubt Disney would give them a green light to release sets. We have seen literally no trailer or any story synopsis and toys can spoil a lot( ahem Giant Man in Civil War).
  19. It kinda doesn't make sense for Lego to release Eternals sets in spring as it would be 6 months before movie comes out. So most kids won't know who the characters are and have no interest in sets. But release in September/ October closers to release makes way more sense. Plus Shang chi comes out first, so why have Eternals sets before Shang Chi sets?
  20. New year-new thread, nice! So any legit reports on when these awesome Eternaks sets are coming out? Definitely not January, so maybe June, same they've done with Ragnarok sets in 2017?
  21. Yeah, but WW set isn’t selling well. I constantly see it on shelves with no interest from buyers. Anyways hope LEGO releases Eternals sets soon as they are genially best Marvel sets in a long time.
  22. Wow, these Eternals sets are frikin amazing! When I first saw these pictures I thought it was Legos new original theme as it looks so good! But then I saw that it was Eternals and got excited even more. Eternals ship and Celestial look just amazing! Smaller sets with Deviants look good too, but clearly filler compared to main 2sets. Clearly some faces are reused which is a bummer, as LEGO is very lazy with faces for licensed faces recently. But all minifigures have leg print! Which should be a norm in 2020, but LEGO for some reason makes it a rarity. Release date of these sets is puzzling to me though. Are they being released in January or later in year? I know movie was originally supposed to have come out already, so makes sense why sets are already done. But now movie comes out in November 2021, so kinda early to release sets now. I think LEGO got burned when they release BW and WW sets in spring and movies got pushed back.
  23. Why did you remind me of that? It's nightmare fuel level of horrible!
  24. I mean minifigure quality has been pretty bad recently, builds themselves thought pretty solid. But minifigs are big reason why people buy sets, so I feel like Lego should improve their quality asap. I still don't get why they haven't figured how to print flesh color on dark colored plastic on 5-6 years! It's really visible on Han Solo and some Batman minifigs.
  25. All this info about HP eating a chunk of JW budget is news to me. Like how would this even work? Different Ip different Ip owners. Too complicated... But this would explain why some lines always get new molds and prints while others are stuck with constant reuses! Like Ninjago gets new molds almost every wave, while Marvel and Star Wars rarely do. Sure one is their original ip and others are licensed. Still dip in quality with SW sets has been very visible in recent waves. Like aforementioned reuse of burnt robes Analin and Obi-wan in other sets. Isn’t LEGO‘a motto “Only best is good enough”? Doesn’t look this way when you look at recent SW waves.
