I'm really looking forward to a new LDD RCB But.. Who, when, what, where? (well, where is easy, here offcourse ) We've had a free build. Classic Space Castle/medieval Pirates What's the next one going to be? And, who's gonna host it? (not me i don't have the time, i wish i had, i'm more of a follower then a leader anyway ) What's left that we can do? Wel how about plain old simple City theme? We could do another pirates theme, the last one was an imperial fortress, we could do a pirate haven, like Tortuga There's allwas the possibility of doing another space theme, Futuron, Blacktron, Spyrius, Roboforce, Spacepolice etc. We could do a medieval castle instead of town. We could do a Bellville theme We could build a Big harbour. There's also the possibility to do none Lego themes offcourse.. WW1/WW2 Post Apocalyptic And the like Personally, i have no real preference, but a big harbour would be nice, building docks and ships and stuff, City theme really. What are your thoughts on the subject?

10226 Sopwith Camel Review (warning - picture heavy!)
BasOne replied to Algernon's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Excellent review of an excellent set. I really enjoyed building it and it has place of honor on my ceiling I never did get the mini version though All we need now is a new Fokker Dr.1 -
"Taking over the "good guy" theme space race from the Space Police II was the Unitron, a more military themed group" http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/Unitron Cool colour scheme though.

How about Unitron vs. UFO

"Maximally two MOCs per round (one primary and one secondary) and they can be published anywhere from the 20th to the 30th of June. The primary MOC will be most important for judging and the secondary one will give extra points to make up for a lack in a specific category of the primary one. " So yes Though don't pay attention to the dates, the've been moved up Can't wait to see your Moc's.

I actually do not own any insectoid or rock raiders sets.. they came out during my dark ages

Ok i wanna know what happend to day 1 through 39 Nice little dio though.

Valve is the developer yes, it was Distributed by EA and Published by M$, they have a stake in the franchise as well and are a lot less open to liscencing.
-
The'll never get a lisence for it i'm afraid. Shame, it's a brilliant concept. Same with BTTF and most other big companies ideas, either they won't give a lisence or the lisence would be prohibetivly expencive. I got higher hopes for original ideas or small company liscences like minecraft. I think the EvE-online ships have better chance to get a lisence then 90% of the other stuff on cuusoo (that needs a lisence). But you can allways keep your fingers crossed

Fortunatly, no. Everything goes through the Lucas studio's the be approved, if it isn't canon ot doesn't fit it won't be published. Read, play and watch everything Star Wars, and almost everything fits, it's one big galaxy, one cannot write a story about a ressurected Exar Kun without Lucas aproval, heck, the original Exar Kun needed Lucas's aproval. It's true that a lot of writers publish Star Wars books, but they never contradict eachotherm Luke can't die in one book and live in the next. Everything goes through a reaaaalllyy long progress of checking, rechecking and checking again to see if every little thing is right. So no, not everyone can just invent something and pay lucas and its Star Wars.

Well allthough i like the prequel movies as 'Star Wars' i think they don't do the original justice.. I mean, they should not have put R2-D2 and C-3PO in the prequels, maybe a short cameo apearance like Chewbacca (also a bad call imho) but come on, they knew Anakin Skywalker and Obi wan Kenobi and they couldn't make a link with Luke skywalker and Ben Kenobi... I mean, come on.... Allthough i did like the introduction of Bail Organa and the Tantive IV About the EU.. well, i think it's great, Star Wars is bigger then just the original 3 movies, bigger then 6 movies, there is so much to tell, so many stories. I got a goodly collection of books and i love the books about the early years of Han Solo, Timothy Zahn's Heir To The Empire books are just awesome. But i particuraly like the X-Wing novels, With Wedge Antilles as the main charachter and Luke, Leia and the others being the minor roles. The Black Fleet Crisis books are great too as are books like Shadows of the Empire and The Truce at Bakura.... What i'm trying to say is, Star Wars is bigger then the movies, who cares that Lucas is raking in the bucks, i and i'm sure millions of others, are enjoying it Not to mention that i own, played and finished every Star Wars Game that came out (for PC, 1 Nintendo finished, the reeeaaalllyy old one )

Nope, your not the only one. I'm allways rooting for the Bad Guy and hoping the movie has a bad ending Evil is so much more fun. And as our Lord Dark Helmet said, "Evil will allways triumph because good is dumb"

ok.. that's it... i'm buying this set....

I like these Moc-Off's Gives me some inspiration, wich at the moment i'm lacking, the muse has left me, find me another Muse... Preferably between the age of 25-30, blond and a nice body And you could do a lot of these, M-tron, Futuron, Spacepolice (And vilains) classic space (or Neo-all) it's only a shame there is such a small 'community' to do these kind of things...
-
I've submitted the only model yet And thank you, took a while to build it and get it right.. sort of.. still not entirely happy with it but ohwell, i guess a builder is never 100% happy

I'ts a nice looking battlecruiser, but i wonder Why you are calling it a Timelord Warship.
-
I built this as an 'AWACS' kind of thing, and didn't arm it for one single reason, weapons signatures and fire would be detected. With it's wide array of ECM/ECCM equipment it is able to virtually 'destroy' any enemy craft aprouching the I-1. Think Cylon Raiders vs. Viper Mk VII in the first episode of the new Battlestar Gallactica.

Close up as you requested It's the drone from round 1 The reason i use LDD is that about 80% of my Lego's are in storage as i have no room to built decently. I really need to get a bigger apartment

Round 2: Infiltration Vehicle. Hostile Enviroment Infiltration Star Traveler or simply know as H.E.I.S.T. was a program to create a vehicle that could penetrate deep behind enemy lines to gather intelligence. After several failed attempts that were destroyed Blacktron engineers created the Infiltrator #1 (as the first to succeed at a single mission). The I-1 Whiskers as it's more comenly known is armed not with a single weapon, but with a wide array ECM/ECCM capabilities making it invisible to any enemy detection systems. It also carries 2 SR-17 Drones and 4 RP-12 multipurpous probes. It's 10 man (or woman) crew are amongst the best in data analys and retrieval. Unarmed, it relies heavily on it's ECM/ECCM, but in a pinch it's massive thrust to weight ratio make it a hard target to catch even for dedicated fighter craft. The I-1 During a mission. The I-1's numerous antenna's and dishes. View of the I-1's massive engines and sensor domes. Top view of the I-1 with it's long range scanning dishes. Bottom view with the SR-17 visible and the planetary scanners. Interior view of the massive computer banks and analasys equipment. The RP-12 Multipurpous probe, capable of penetrating deep into enemy territory, planetary atmospheres or as decoys to throw of persuing ships.
