Poll: what Battle Scene would you like to see next?
BasOne replied to Sir von Lego's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Why limit yourself to eps 1-3 and clonewars? Maybe you don't want to do anything from 4-6 but the extendend universe is very rich in stories and more importantly, massive battles. Doing something from the time of KOTOR (4000 BBY) might be difficult with the minifigs, but The X-wing series of books and comics is very battle intensive. The ressurected Emperor retaking Coruscant would make a nice cityfight instead of the more common grass, desert, jungle battle themes. But staying within eps 1-3 i'd say.... The Arena battle on Geonosis, the 3 large animals, 100's of battle droids and every Lego Jedi character there is, not to mention a couple of 100 geonosians. Could make an interesting battlescene The arena itself would be a challenge to build i think. -
There are no useless LEGO pieces, just limited imaginations.

How's this for an idea... Doctor Overbuild Duke Exeter Vanda Darkflame Hael Storm And Baron Typhonus I'd love LEGO to do a LU theme, i want an army of stromlings But i doubt they are gonna do it, so the collectible series i a perfect oppertunity to do characters from LU. -

1 last comment in general before i hit the sack (past 03:20 here :P). The 250 brick limit, for a max of 5000 bricks for the entire thing. I haven't got the foggiest idea of the limit to as what people can build these days in LDD, but i can go upto 20.000 bricks before i start to worry, 25.000 before i really worry. It might be, and this is just an idea, usefull to know what people can do before setting a brick limit. If you got 20 people that can go upto 10.000 bricks for a model without problems, you can set the limit at 500 bricks per person. Or 20 that can do 20.000 set the limit to 1000 per person If you got 15 that can go to 20.000 and 5 that can do 5000, set the limit to 250. Average it out to the one whith the lowest specs as it were. Just a thought (from an incorrigble large model builder) -

So no robot head hidden inside a helmet, it's gotta be 'pure', gotcha :P A couple of chairs and an old man on a rocking chair smoking a pipe is ok though, just without the shotgun (just kidding) ;) and i meant 'on the patio' a a figure of speech, porch as you call it. Non-native English typer here, don't hold it against me I'm in the reserves anyway, but i'm a stickler for details -

I was just wondering. The houses dimensions are clear, 14x8 base, but what about outdoors? I could see a tavern having an awning and a couple of tables and chairs 'on the patio'. For that matter, what about the actual street? And what about 'jokes' aswel as inside jokes as outdoors... Like... ehm.. for example.. Heads mounted on the wall, a moose's head, a tiger's head, an antilope's head, an Imperial Stormtroopers head....... -
My bad, i run with a screen res of 1860x1050, i sometimes forget that 800x500 could be a bit large for people with a lower screen res

How long did it take.. hmm really no idea, a couple of weeks a couple of hours a day... And building it.. i'd like to, but i'm afraid i don't have the space or the bricks (or the cash to buy all the bricks ), but i don't doubt that i'd give it a shot, maybe a smaller vessel along similar lines. I want to finish the LDD version first, just trying to figure out how i'll go about it, in the meantime stay tuned for other projects

400 pounds for 102 figs.... Converting that to Euros thats 4.60 E a piece, they sell on bricklink for 2.60-3 euro's (except that one wierdo that's selling spartans for 112 euro's a piece). Also, series 2 bags or 60 piece boxes are still very available, so you still can get spartans at 1.99 euro's. Not to be a negative nanny, but your price is very very steep....

I allways fancied Starcraft as a nice license. You've got youre Humans, High tech Aliens, Monster Aliens and Enough vehicles and buildings to make any AFOL weep. Not to mention the play value.. AARGH my zerglings are gonna eat your puny marines.. *rumble rumble* Gonna make you regret using you're siege tanks on my poor zerglings, eat mutalisk venom.... Actually, on another forum they were giving away LU beta keys for the best LEGO license idea.. I won one with the Starcraft license

lol I'm just saying it's a generic head that can be used with all themes. -
Ehm i meant Trans brown, my bad And this... Dump the gold, go for the trans...
-
Aaaah that was the problem, i was searching through the space themes Mucios gracias. Can find coulourd parts now too, think i had the search paramaters wrong.
-
As a just coming out of the closet AFOL, and not really keeping up with the themes between my tweens and my now ripe old age.. ahem (only 35... almost 36 :P) I wonder from wich theme this torso print is. http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j25/BasOne05/LDDScreenShot75-1.png I do have a few mini's with this print, i only had one foot in the closet But for the life of me i can't remember from what theme this is. I've been browsing bricklink and other websites but didn't come across it. And as for a second question, how can i search bricklink for minifig part colours? Like red torso's or blue arms.... Ideally i want to make my flight crew.. http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j25/BasOne05/deckcrew.png I do mean the colours not the torso prints, i doubt i'd be able to get those, but purple/brown arms and torso's, how do i find them
-
This is a must buy (a couple of dozen) for me, especially for . Although i'd replace the visor with the trans black one.
