As a non native English speaker i learned that there is no s after a contraction, and as LEGO is a contraction of Leg Godt, by definition Legos is wrong.. or something

Happy New Year folks, and may it be a fruitfull Lego year

Main turret is done.. i think. Got the feeling that it either needs a third barrel or larger diameter guns. You tell me

Thanks guys, but it's not even finished yet I was thinking of doing the upper decks in a seperate file, maybe.. perhaps.. A lot of the bricks incorporated arn't in real colours, that's what i like about LDDU, make something in the colours YOU want. Building this RL, yikes... it's allready at 23,500 bricks someone got a garage or shed for hire and a big bankaccount

Love it, love it, love it. The lights, the doors... I can hear the theme music in the background.... Excuse me, i gotto watch the movie.... again
-
The specs really arn't that special. Intel Quad core 3 Gb Ram GeForce 8600 Currently the model stands at around 5000 Bricks. (Around 5000 'cause i got some spare parts littered around like mini's and pieces i don't want to have te rebuilt 40 times )
-
Nearly got the basic shape finished, then it's onto detailing
-
Thanks, But the ship is getting away from me again, i can't do small. From end to end it's 180 studs long, wich is much too large, i'm currently in the process of chopping it in half. I'm keeping the damaged cannon, but it's twin is gone. It's a somewhat more managable size, offcourse, i'll have to drop some of the interior i had in mind, but, ohwell
-
Sensor array and AA Cannon. But even the biggest battleships arn't immune to battledamage.
-
Darnit, i allways go overboard with the detailing, hitting 4000 bricks just with the lowest deck..... *Slaps wrist* Gotta build the main hull first, so you can get a sense of the ship and the scale, then, when possible, go into detailing Going out to repair some battle damage to a sensor array.

I got 3221 Allthough i bought myself 8043 and 8258 as christmasgifts for myself Seeing what others got... Either very rich or very large families

Hi all. I noticed that except the reviews no-one does any 'Work in Progress' (WiP) reports, just posting the finished thing. As i also do model building, posting on a Dutch forum http://www.modelbrouwers.nl, it's pretty compulsory when working on a model to post pictures of the models from start to finish. Like my Spanish civil war aircraft for example. (got some lego worked in there too ) So i'm going to do somewhat of the same thing here, posting pics of the model in the progress of being made. There are a few advantages for doing this, for one, others can spot a mistake to be fixed (that happend with the aircraft build above, i put the wings on backwards ), it also gives people the chance to give suggestions, pooling ideas of others to bring a model more to life and improve it in general. I do 'play' with real lego's, just the last 2 weeks i bought 8043 and 8258, and for christmas i got 3221, but i pretty much forgot to take pictures for a progress report. But i lack the space, and mostly the bricks to built what i want, so i'm a LDD fanboy So whitout further ado, my current project. A cross section of one the Imperial Navy's main battleships, The Emperor class I.S.S. Imperial Fist. (Not Star Wars, not WH40k, My own Imperial fleet) (A cross section 'cause building the complete thing... to much to ask from my poor pc). Start at the lowest deck, As i said, suggestions, remarks, ideas are welcome

Officers and the Captain.. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I was planning on posting the ship when it was done.. But.. Well... Current brick count is roughly 23.000, so open the lxf at your own peril. My 'puter is having trouble, i'll try to finish it, but i don't think my pc will be able to handle it so i'm posting the parts that are done. Maybe someone, somewhere with a better pc wants to finish it, maybe i'll get a better pc sometime next year to finish it. But for now, well, LDD breaks down on me every time i load the model, so this is as far as i am able to go, sadly. Hope you guys and galls like it though, took me a couple of weeks to get this far The LXF.. as i said.. 23.000 brick count, open at your own risk http://www.brickshel...tless_class.lxf (Brickshelf, pat. pending)

The F-318 is a continuation of the F-306 line, but so radicly different that it deserves its own designation. The ageing F-306 mk3 and mk 7'sF-306 mk3 and mk 7's were in dire need of replacement. Although the F-306 mk x Link came into service in to replace the older fighters, it never escaped it's interceptor role while an superiority fighter was needed. The F-318 was thus designed to take a heavier payload for longer ranges with a more weapons making it a Space Superiorty Fighter capable of more diverse roles then it's F-306 predecessor. F-306 Siren Mk x F-318 Sparrowhawk Allthough during initial trails the Sparrowhawk suffered from a myriad of problems it was soon adopted by pilots as the problem child everybody loved. Flight crews of the ships the Sparrowhawk was stationed on dreaded a shipment of replacement fighters, taking upto 3 weeks to get them combat ready. Ultimatly, those flight crews and mechanics were drafted by the koenigsegg & Donkervoort company to improve the ships as they came of the assembly line. Making it the first fightercraft upgraded and updated by men that worked on the line with the ships. It's heavy payload makes it a favorite of pilots that like big bangs, able to carry upto 6 mk36 Mantis missles or 24 mk 24 Piranha missles in combination with it's dual quad rapid fire plasma laser cannons. Standerd compliment is 2 mk 36's and 12 mk 24's as depicted. It can deal a lot of damage not only to enemy fighter craft but also to enemy capital ships making it a serious threat to even the largest of enemy capital ships. The F-306 series of interceptors used 4 fusion based engines for propulsion, taking the mk x up to 12.000 SpS (Studs per Second), the F-318 Sparrowhawk uses the newer single ion-matter-fusion engine taking it to over 30.000 SpS wich makes it the fastest fightercraft in the Imperial navy. During the testing fase and with the experience gained from the F-306 the landing gear was retro designed moving from skids to wheels as used centuries before. The F-306 serously lacked the capability for planetary take ofs and landings making it mostly a carrier based spacecraft. The F-318 wheel based landing gear makes it possible for dirtway landing and launch strips not neading the antigrav ramps needed for the '306. As most fightercraft the F-318 is too small for a Hyper-Warp drive to move past light speed, making it neccesary to use carriers that are big enough for a Hyper-Warp drive. And as space on a carrier is at a premium, the F-318 like it's smaller brother's uses folding wings. The F-318 Sparrowhawk has been in service for a short time and replacing the older fighters across the imperium is a painstaking and long progress, but alongside the Older fighter still in use on the fringes of imperial space like the F-186 Sabreflash and the F-280 Hammer and the F-306 Siren the imperial navy is ready to protect our freedom. Fot hose intersted... the LXF Well i'll be... Someone tell me it doesn't look like a dual posting..... Wrote the post once looks like it pasted twice, edit post... just once... i dun get it....

For those that don't know... During World War 1 Britisch and German troops entered a unofficial cease fire on Christmass eve. They traversed no-mans's-land to exchange christmass gifts, German troops giving the British chocolate mostly and the British troops giving them sigarettes. On christmass day an impromptu soccer (football) game was played between both sides, Germans won 2-1. The most extraordinary thing was that they sang christmass carols around a somewhat dessicated christmass tree (there is video footage of this). On the 27th the unofficial cease fire was lifted, and the killing started again..... Anyway.. Imperial troops have brought the christmass tree.. repeat, imperial troo......
