I wasn't able to find the style sheet to do the changes... But slowly I'm understanding all those style sheet functions, so maybe the next theme will feature less mistakes! ;) -

Hehe, the only reason for that is that by accident I slept too long and missed my first lessons this morning... :$ :-D -

I changed it to the color "Maroon" (Hex: 800000), which is slightly darker... If you still want it to be darker I will change it to black since this is the only color that goes along with the yellow / brown theme and that is darker than brown and maroon... -
Great MOC, perfect addition to any western collection! *y* Have you tried to use brown wheels? The top half of the black ones is hard to see because of the black bottom of the vehicle...

Hm, I will try to take care of it, though I'm not sure if there is a darker color than the brown for it. (I could make the links black but then they wouldn't differ much from the normal text) -
Hey! Happy Birthday!!! Hope your old body doesn't hurt too much! :P Enjoy your day! :)

I second this! :() :oD I wonder how small your fingers must be to achieve such great and at the same time small details! :P -
Nice idea! This morning I was playing around with some small parts and tried to find other techniques to build a more sleek scythe and I really found some (involving minifig hands, lightsaber hilts, technic pieces and much more...)! Have to wait for the camera to shoot them within the next days, the plan for the first version is attached ;)

:| Please not another "Grey rules, Bley sucks" discussion.... |-/ Bley Minifigs? I haven't seen such a picture yet, but I don't think it would look too bad. First of all, Minifigs aren't one color only, so the bley will only cover single parts (hips, legs, torso) and not the whole fig. Then you probably wont get the same figure in old grey and new grey (maybe besides the Snowtrooper), that's why you wont be able to compare the old and new minifigs directly. And finally at least light bley doesn't differ too much from light grey (--> Snowtrooper hips, almost no difference noticable when the old and new one are next to each other) Hope this helps...

IMO the right computer programs can support childrens develpement of creativity. BUT first of all this doesn't mean any computer program, it could include programs like Photoshop, CAD programs or similar things. Years ago I made several maps for Half Life (1) and I think this had some positive effort for me. First of all, I made this maps for the purpose of having a threedimensional version of a real or imagined structure, for me it was some kind of 'art', NOT for playing in the maps itself (at least not seriously). Because of this I nowadays see many more details when I'm e.g. into an interesting building, this surely was a postive effect of it. But the other side of the computer is that you aren't related to any natural laws anymore. It is possible to build a house on the screen that floats in the air or a place where you can walk upside down on the roof. Doesn't teach you anything connected to the real life. And this is the point where real life experiences come in! A kid that used to play with Lego knows that he can't build a large creation with a single 1x1x5 brick as a stand beneath it... A kid that climbs on trees knows that a fall from a height of 1,5m CAN hurt people (and not only reduce the "life" from 100% to 97% or whatever)! A kid playing with other kids learns to use its face to express their feelings, it learns to communicate, instead of using "Blah Blah *giggles* ;) :P *lol*" expressions only... That's why I think Computers and TVs surely are a great addition to the education of kids (one must never forgot that kids HAVE to be able to act with modern computer and other electronic systems), but only if the parents / teachers think intensive about which soft-/hardware to use and how to use it!

I had seen this already (also at 1000steine) and I think this is a great campaign! Today's kids need to get away from their screens (TV, PC, X-box, PS2, Gameboys and whatever...) and play with real toys again!

Harry Potter 05: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Reviews
ApophisV replied to ApophisV's topic in LEGO Licensed
Hey all, I saw the movie yesterday together with Aredhel and I thought that I should share my opinion! Overall impression: Great movie, great effects, BUT finally the Potter series lost almost everything of the "family fairytale" feeling it had in Potter I and II (and slightly in Potter III)... It deals much more with "serious" thoughts and happenings which in many ways can be directly converted into things from our real world. Many scenes are really dark and we can see all those people (especially Potter) suffer from the circumstances. The whole Potter world seems to become less and less life friendly, especially the fact that they lead kids (and yeah, a 17 year old also should be considered as a children) into situations (dragon duel, merpeople) that can easily become dangerous to life makes the Potter universe look somewhat cruel! (and will finally kill one person) The look of the movie supports in most cases this feeling, passages with bad happenings always seem to be really dark (not only from the happenings, but also from colors and music and such), especially the graveyard scenes and the attack at the Quidditch Championship seem to be completely out of the universe of the previous movies! The Death Eaters itself remind very much of the Ku-Klux-Klan (spelling?) and the ideology behind them is not only cruel by itself, but they are also showed in a very scary and shocking way (Quidditch Championship assault!) Nonetheless all those things doesn't make it a bad movie, it's just a bit different from the others. Actually I really enjoyed it! Having that said I would like to note down some pros and cons ;) Details I liked: (y) - The effects are really great! To name only a few: The dragons are animated just great! When the horntail walks around Hogwards roof it looks just so realistic! :oo Everything else like the merpeople and such are also greatly done! (y) - The American Pie influences are just so ridiculous! It's so fun to see how Harry behaves when he sees the asian girl. The scenes where the boys have to ask girls for the dance - just funny! The ending of the dance itself is such a clich -
