I don't "hate" Bionicle either, I just don't like it... Even if it is a prodect of the Lego Company, I don't consider it to be "real Lego"... Lego bricks had always its own system (which is what made it being called "Lego System" :P) with its studs and such... The introduction of Technic sure brought some new ideas and elements to the Lego idea, but was still somehow very similar to Lego. But Bionicle is some abstraction of the Technic elements and there isn't really anything left that would make it real "Lego bricks" in my eyes... It works almost exclusive with ball joints and some technic axle connections, that means no studs left... And since the original 2x4 Lego brick introduced those small tiny studs most of us need to live I only consider those sets that connect mainly via studs real Lego! ;) Another reason why I dislike Bionicle is that it lacks in my eyes the creative potential. Sure people can make great things of it (e.g. Bigfatslob or Jinzo), but the main idea behind the Bionicle product is not the constructive thought but even more the collection and the action figure aspect!

The introduction price of the small Racers (at least wave one and two) was 3,99

I honestly have NO idea what the difference between an official Bionicle and an MOC (good or bad) is! Finally they all consist of two arms, two legs, a head with some sort of mask and thats it! *wacko*

That's some sweet lil fighter! :) I really like the shape of it, reminds me of some Star Trek'ish Klingon or Romulan design concepts... It's always nice to see creations that use the parts in different angles to each other unlike the standard 90

Hey hey, thanks for the birthday wishes, my Birthday is still going on (it's 12:32 here) and I already got loooots of cool stuff!!! :D Aredhel gave me the new TIE Interceptor (YAY!!! |-D ) and the Prof. Lupins Classroom HP set and from my mom I got the Vikings fortress!!!! *satis* But for now I have to clean up my flat to be able to welcome my parents and my sisters this evening for a birthday fondue! ;)

In which country do you live? Germany Which education did you choose? Why? In Germany it was the "Gymnasium" which is most difficult form of school (5th to 13th grade). I'm not sure if this important here, but since it is also "education" I will add it: I am studying mechanical engeneering on the RWTH Aachen, before I studied two semesters of material sciences, but this was too chemical for me ;) My current course is not my 100% favourite one, but it was the best choice I had when changing the courses. Did someone force you to take this education? If yes, who did it? Nope. What expectations did your friends and/or family have about your education? About grades? Nothing particular. They sure wanted me to solve everything as good as possible, but as long as my results were at least good enough to go to the next class / get my diploma there was no pressure at me... Did the above somehow affected your education? Nope. Hope this helps ;)

In New Zealand... :| So let's summarize: The Japanese Godzilla movies were "trash", but nontheless great fun, the american one was real junk and surely NO fun to see, so maybe we WILL see another version made in a completely other part of the world ;) But let's talk about this movie: I saw it and I was completely happy with it! It was the first one since some month where I sat into the chair till he last names and credits disappeared and even the music stopped! I don't want to repeat what all the others said, so I only will tell you of two points that doesn't seem to be completely clear to me: - The story around Jimmy got no solution, telling us that there is a mystery about this boy is nice, but not giving anymore infos about him is silly... - Also the mystery of the ship and it's captain (and the choloform) seems to be much bigger than it is afterwards...

Great construction, using similar techniques like Count Blockula's Brickfas figs. Saw this already some month ago though :P

I don't like the boat either, it somehow looks like a large hull piece with some scattered bricks atop. But I really like the truck, the front section looks very nice IMO. The use of the 1x1 slopes to make the chassis look round works very greatly!
