In some cases it has At least you came in to defend yourself, I guess, unlike Rip. Alright, alright, I’m not THAT funny people I do agree with your last point though. I don’t mind lynching Rip, and in some ways I find him suspicious, but the way the votes piled on him was weird. The day is basically over, and we have a lynch, so there’s not really a point in me changing my vote now. I’m feeling very antsy about our situation at the moment. Here’s hoping the next day, if there is one, is better than this. We need to start catching some scum, dang blast it.

If you have considered the possibility that she’s town, then you haven’t said that in thread. And of course you can’t echo everything, you throw in some not very helpful stuff of your own, but you have been echoing a lot of people. You made your case for 4 of 2 before we found out about her claim, but you did that after several others had already started calling her scummy. I actually did mention some specific examples, after I said I didn’t have any earlier Maybe you just couldn’t understand what I was saying, in which case I apologize for not being clear enough. I meant you aren’t scummy looking in the obvious way that previous lynch candidates, such as Xen and Claw are. Instead you’re scummy in the sense that you come up every now and then to deliver an opinion that isn’t anything we haven’t heard from other middle of the road players. Maybe you think I’m included in that section, and while that may be true, at least I’m trying to come up with a few original ideas, instead of having my posts be half quotes with not very much thought. No, I take that back. You have put thought into your posts. Thought that makes you look just townie enough to stay on the radar but not noticeably scummy enough to get you lynched. Until possibly now. You’re definitely not the only one I find suspicious, as I called out everyone who bandwagoned on 4 of 2. No, what I said is that you were the person I found most suspicious out of everyone. I never said you shouldn’t be suspicious of her either What I’m saying is that you only seemed to consider the negative when it came to Minga, even after it became rather clear that she seemed to be working for the good of the town, even if she isn’t 100% confirmed. I totally get why you find her doing that suspicious though. I mean trying to help the town is such a drag, amirite? Your tunnel vision on Minga being scummy, until you then decided to vote for 4 of 2, did not help matters. I honestly think you’re scum more than I’ve thought that about any other player in the game so far. It’s true that part of this is gut feeling based, but your posts are the perfect example of scum hiding in the background, imo. I meant Minga’s earlier posts, I’m sorry that wasn’t clear enough for you She has timezone differences working against her, as a lot of us do. I actually really like the face, actually. Very snide and frustrated and sarcastic and to the point. I am willing to vite for someone else to achieve a lynch, but I still think Bock is our best bet Sorry if you don’t agree, Bock Lemme know if I need to restate any of this for what feels like the umpteenth time *vote Also hosty, would you mind telling us how much time is left in the day? Pretty please?

I said some stuff about why I thought Bock was scummy earlier, but I'll reiterate some of that here. He's echoed a lot of what others have said, and was very adamant that Minga was likely to be scum, without really considering that her actually being townie was a possibility. It's hard to point to specific things that he's said that are super duper scummy, but he's been lurking around and blending into the background most of the time and just pinging my scumdar. That was earlier. Now, after he joined the bandwagon for 4 of 2, would not unvote him until 4 of 2 was forced to roleclaim, despite Minga's caution against having him lynched, and is still suspicious of Minga even though she hasn't given us reason yet to doubt that she's fairly ok. No, we don't know for sure she's town. But with all the work she's done behind the scenes, it seems more likely than not that she is townie. And your continued suspicion of her is worrisome, imo. It's ok to not be sure of her affiliation, of course, but you are so persistent about this, that it makes you look like you're trying to cover your own scummy behind. This isn't as well developed as a Minga analysis or anything, but something to consider. I wouldn't mind lynching Rip, as I can see a case being made for him, but I just find Bock the scummiest person here today (who hasn't claimed )

No problem. And that’s very true. Hmm. Not really sure I want to switch my vote to him if this is the case Not that it matters now, since he’s effectively being lynched. And I now suspect all of you who are voting for him after Minga said she did not recommend it. Now before you jump on me for "blindly following Minga” or something like that, let me make my case here. Firstly, there have been no counterclaims to Minga saying she was investigated as town. You’d think the investigator would be able to confide in someone that Minga was lying. And yet no one has come forward. There are several alternate possibilities here, such as the investigator having died early on and us not hearing about it from Clem, or maybe the investigator doesn’t care about this at all somehow But this honestly does not seem likely to me. I think it’s better to wait and hear more before casting judgment about this. Well looky there.

I’m not saying you’re town. The last part was my poor attempt at humor, I’m sorry you didn’t find it amusing Although to be fair, I can’t even remember what exactly I meant by it, apart from trying to be funny in a situation that frankly does not call for humor, so never mind See? Someone gets my sense of humor Most likely Gryffindor, although Ravenclaw is also a distinct possibility But anyways, I find it odd and rather disturbing that people aren’t commenting more, especially since there’s not all that much time left in the day. I know everyone has busy schedules and timezone differences, but if we keep this up we won’t have a lynch at all today Right now I feel like people pop in, state a few things, don’t take any sort of stance on the current topics, and then crawl back into the woodwork. There are potentially 4/5 scum out there who are currently doing a bang up job of staying in the background. We need to have a lynch today, and we need to do it right. Which is why I’m hoping more people will come and share their own thoughts, instead of blindly bandwagoning off of others. I’m afraid that at this point, we either won’t ave a lynch or we’ll have a very hasty one against someone who is likely town This whole thing is just the face over and over again, basically.

I take umbrage at that. If you’re calling me anything, you should be calling me an aPAULogist Sorry, couldn’t resist the pun. I wasn’t trying to defend him. I do agree that his behavior both today and yesterday has been very suspicious. But considering that the two people who appear to be trying to form a town block are saying that we shouldn’t lynch him, I don’t we should jump to lynch him. It sounds stupid to say, but the two obviously scummy people we’ve lynched so far have turned up town. There’s no excuse for his strange behavior, I agree, but we cannot risk a mislynch today. I meant my list as more of a way to voice the people I think are the most suspicious as well as being the best candidate for a lynch, which I do not think Paul is at this point. If we’re just talking about weird/strange behavior though, then he and Zipzop are at the top of the list. Oh shoot. Well this is a pretty pickle if ever I saw one. Your logic about the whole situation is still pretty strange, but we can’t afford to doubt your claim if it’s true. I’m sorry you did it. This whole thing is distracting us from actually finding scum, imo. Do you think we should lynch him now, Seamus? Although I will agree that his night one result on you is more likely a sign that you are townie. Unless of course you’re the godfather

We can debate the fine points of Minga and Clem’s claims, and by extension Paul’s, but unless they’re all lying then it won’t do any good. I think we can all generally agree at this point that lynching them today is not an option. We’ve already lost seven townies, and if they are telling the truth then we shouldn’t risk losing more townies by lynching them. They’re not in the clear by any means, but I think we should start figuring out who we actually want to lynch. I suggest everyone name their top three suspicions, and why they suspect them, so we can come to some sort of general consensus. I’ll give mine. Bock: You haven’t said a lot in general, but today you seem very invested in making sure that Minga’s claim gets discredited. We don’t know if it’s true, but you seem awful persistent in saying that she’s a lying scummo. What do you want us to do, lynch the person who is trying to organize a town block? A lot of your posts have pinged me, and the fact that you echo a lot of what Seamus said doesn’t make you look any better. Seamus: I keep getting extremely mixed reads off of you. At first I leaned more towards scum, then I leaned more towards town, and now I don’t know what to think. You’ve made some good points about Paul and Zipzop and Bock, but at first it genuinely felt like you were trying to prevent a town block from forming. Maybe you’re just a very cautious townie, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. But I still feel uneasy about you, even though I agree that Clem and ming a and Paul aren’t in the clear. 4 of 2: You’ve been slow to taking sides everyday now, and while I normally think that’s a good thing, your hesitancy makes you seem more like scum waiting to see which way the wind blows before placing a vote. I don’t have a strong read on you, but you’ve pinged me several times, both today and yesterday. I don’t know if any of these people are actually scum or not, but these are a few of the people I’ve been most suspicious of today. So for now I’m going to Vote: Bock Pathos (Bob) Out of all the suspects I’ve listed, I find you the most scummy looking. This is by no means my final vote, and I will change it if we need to get a lynch or if I find a better suspect, but for now I think I’m making the right choice in voting for you.

Wow, there’s a lot to get through First off, I’m more inclined to believe Minga’s claim than not. Of course people shouldn’t just claim straightaway, but it makes sense that the investigator, if they’re indeed still alive, wants to get a town block going. But again, I could be wrong about this. Just be cautious everyone. The three way argument between Clem and Seamus and Minga was pretty weird. Of course there’s always the possibility that they’re just three townies fighting while the scum slink under the radar, but at the same time it’s a little off. If Minga is indeed town, the people completely tossing her claim aside as ridiculous would look rather suspect. But we don’t know what parts of this are true and what aren’t. I don’t think we should be making any full fledged judgments about this just yet. it’s the same sort of thing we went through with Clem. I mean, it’s only natural to be dubious when something like this comes up, but some people are too sure of themselves for my comfort. Opinions often change, so it looks really scummy when people refuse to consider different possibilities, be they positive or negative. Right now, Seamus and Bock stand out to me for being quick to point the finger at her for being scum early on, instead of considering there’s a possibility, however slight you may think it is, that she might be telling the truth. Again, this has just been little pings here and there throughout the day so far, but I’m not sure if I’m willing to make a case for and vote for either one yet. I could be completely off about this, but that’s my general impression so far. This whole thing just reminds me of the incident with Clem and how easily sidetracked by it we got. It’s important to discuss these things, but we also need to be hunting for scum. Paul does strike me as scummy, but after what happened with Claw yesterday I’m hesitant to vote for someone who is acting so obviously strange. Zipzop, on the other hand, is acting in a very weird way. As an aside, I’m sorry for all the other stuff going on for you right now. It’s understandable, this is life, things like this happen all the time. But you and Seamus and 4 of 2’s back and forth is one of the most frustratingly confusing things I’ve ever read, and it’s honestly going to take me a while to work it all out in my head If you would all clarify that some more, that would be extremely helpful. Especially when some of us are currently running on fumes and don’t have a lot of brainpower left

Blacktron Mafia: Day 2, Space Oddity
Ranger of the Forest replied to Dannylonglegs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I don’t need to; most of them are variations of the same fluffy “content." Hold on now, I take that back. They’re all different and confusing as hell, since many of your points contradict one another. I honestly feel like you’ve been trying to be more active than many of the other players, but activity means jack if you don’t post anything of substance. No explanation you have provided so far has convinced me of your innocence. Your attempts to explain your earlier posts end up being more suspicious than the original posts themselves. I’ve said before, I’m willing to change my vote if I find someone else more suspicious and/or if we need to get a lynch I’m not talking about what you’re replying to. I’m talking about the fact that your post was barely legible and super confusing. I never said anything about your number of contributions, and from the content of your post it doesn’t seem like you were replying to anyone calling you out for that. I asked you to clarify what you meant by those sentences as well as the post in general. I’d still like an answer to the former, if that’s possible. You misunderstood my point. I’m not suggesting people claim to Seamus unless he has been cleared, and not just by investigation. I’d say the same for almost any other player. Which is why I’m weirded out that Claw is so focused on Seamus alone in his posts, in regards to claiming. Yes he is an experienced player, and he generally does lead the town block, whether he’s actually town or not. Is that always a good thing? No, which is why I think claiming to him because “that’s the way things usually go” is utter nonsense. By prodding people, I hope to get a better understanding of their intent before I make any sort of judgment. The reason I voted for Claw was because nothing he said in response to my post convinced me that he was actually town. I’m not 100% sure that he’s scum, by any means, but he is the person I find most suspicious today. I also mentioned 4 of 2 as someone I was suspicious of. I don’t always like stating my suspicions out loud because my opinions about people change fairly frequently, and sometimes people act as if these things are set in stone. Which they shouldn’t be, as long as you provide reasonable explanation for your line of thinking. If you want to know, I had a town read on you for most of day one, but this post confuzzles me. Would you please clarify what you meant to say in the post I found weird? Or am I just being stupid for asking that, since I still don’t understand what you meant by it I’d also like to ask that people stop picking on me when it comes to being quiet. I know I don’t post a lot, but I’ve posted more than many others have today. Scrutinize away, just please stop using my lack of activity as a reason for being suspicious. Generally when i post though, I try to bring up things I consider problematic that other people haven’t already talked about. Hence why I largely refrained from the Clementine talk. I’m sorry you don’t find what I post useful to the town; I’m trying my best to be helpful.- 256 replies

Blacktron Mafia: Day 2, Space Oddity
Ranger of the Forest replied to Dannylonglegs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
So you don't suspect her, but your gut does? Last time I checked guts were a part of you, but of course maybe your anatomy is different. Did you mean you don't suspect her because of your brain, but your gut tells you she's guilty regardless? And why are you so insistent on Seamus being investigated so that the rest of the town can start claiming to him? There have been plenty of examples in the past of this not working out well. I'm not even going to comment on the paranoia that he's the godfather, but I don't get why you want people to claim to him "once he's been investigated." This whole post just pings me a ton, as do many of your other posts. 4 of 2 has pinged me as well today, but you are the scummiest person today, imo. Vote: Claw (TheLazyChicken) Of course this is subject to change but for now my vote stands. Forgive the grammar mistakes that are likely present here, my mobilionic device makes talking difficult. Also, if there's reason to believe that Seamus is town and not the godfather, then I guess there's nothing wrong in claiming to him. It's just the fact that Claw was singling him out for people to claim to, if that makes sense.- 256 replies

Blacktron Mafia: Day 2, Space Oddity
Ranger of the Forest replied to Dannylonglegs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
No. More of an observation than anything. I’m more inclined to think that you’re townie than not right now. I’m glad to hear you think that. I don’t know what confusion you’re referring to, though, other than what I said about Zipzop’s post. Of course I can’t be sure of your identity either way, and I meant calling you scum in more of a joking way. I don’t call people scum unless there’s a genuine reason to believe that they actually are. Should I have put a face in to make that more obvious?- 256 replies

Blacktron Mafia: Day 2, Space Oddity
Ranger of the Forest replied to Dannylonglegs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Maybe i’ve forgotten how to read, but this post confuses the hell out of me It’s very muddled, and I’m not entirely clear on what you’re trying to say. Especially the beginning. Would it be too much trouble to rephrase this, so I and everyone else can get a better understanding of your intent? Hate to get preachy here, but self preservation isn’t as important as the whole town coming up on top at the end. Or scum in your case, I suppose- 256 replies

Blacktron Mafia: Day 2, Space Oddity
Ranger of the Forest replied to Dannylonglegs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Which is why you role claimed for no apparent reason? I would be more inclined to believe your claim, as I’m not sure scum would try to pull something this crazy when there’s no need, but you are really way too defensive about this. Especially if you are actually town. There’s no reason why you should act so defensive about this information, unless you made it all up and are actually scum But if you are town, what’s done is done, and we can’t change it, however much we may wish to. Also, since you chose to tell everyone this, deal with the consequences of your actions. And for spectraborg’s sake, would you try to stop jumping down the throat of every person who doubts the validity of your claim? It’s only natural to question this revelation, considering how odd it is, so please refrain from acting like everyone else is crazy for having some doubts. I know I do- 256 replies

No, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. Your choice of the word “strong” to describe such players bugged me a little. Why not experienced? Strong makes it sound like you think these people are inherently more powerful, if you see my point. Maybe I was making a mountain out of a molehill, I’m not sure, but I found it worth commenting on at the time.

Are you sure about that? As several others have already said before, although regarding different posts, there’s nothing absolute about this situation, except affiliation (although even that has been proven to be changeable in the past). With the strong? That’s a funny way to save that. Forgive me if you’re just speaking in your usual manner here, but something about the way you phrased that *ping*s me. ^ A lot of Clem's posts are either very defensive, as she’s responding to every single suspicion people have voiced about her, or don’t say anything of substance. I don’t think there’s anything too weird about her vote though. I don’t know, maybe I’m wrong, but it’s important to voice your own suspicions and act on them as you feel led, instead of just repeating what everyone else has said. But at the same time, it would be more problematic if her not voting for Wen kept us from a lynch. Best post of the day. So you’re saying people who talk a lot automatically can’t be scum? You seemed to have positioned yourself nicely in the middle. You post enough to appear active, yet not too little so you’ll be called out on it. Well I’m doing it now You rookies get more and more impatient each year. Kids these days... Again, it’s day one. I wish I didn’t have to vote, because I honestly don’t have a very strong leaning on anyone, but I do. Hopefully today’s lynch will give us more info for future days. Vote: Doctor Wen (Xenophobic Monoxide) Because many have gone into detail about this already, and your lynch is pretty much a done deal at this point, I’ll keep this brief. A lot of your posts are very suspicious, and if nothing else your lynch should give us some good leads for the days to come. Nothing personal, and I hope you do play again. I wish I didn’t have to vote At the moment, Ender is on my scumdar, as is Clem. There’s still several hours left in the day, I believe, so I’ll pop back in as often as I can. But business is booming these days, so I won’t promise anything. After all, there are no absolutes here *won’t be called out on it I need sleep, my brain has stopped functioning

Argh, I see you kids have been busy while I was gone. I can't go into depth with quoting right now, as I've been experiencing tonal plasma difficulties of late. First off, Doctor Wen. If we're being being technical about it, most of us have time for this game...of life. Especially when there are challenging external forces at play. It's just choosing to play regardless, if you get something worthwhile out of it (not hypocritical for me to say at all...) While I agree that some of your posts have been scummy, I don't think you're actually scum at the moment, although that is subject to change. Don't give up just yet, stick with it. But honestly I don't really want to vote for Clementine yet either. Call me wishy washy if you want, but I don't feel comfortable voting for anyone right now. It's day one, so granted there normally isn't any chance of lynching scum. But considering we are basically forces to vote, I want to keep that gun in my holster until it actually comes times for me to shoot it. With all the name calling and weird names it's been hard to keep track of what's going on (especially when you're still half asleep) but here are a few general notes: getting super defensive on day one, or at any other time, makes you look more suspicious. I speak from (limited) experience here, so y'all rookies better listen up. I'm in the middle of devilering another important bit of cargo so I'll forgo the in depth analysis for now, but frankly sets my pinger abuzzing is those people who seem happy to stir up confusion from the sides and not add anything new to the discussion. I know this could seem to be a wide curtain of people, but there are several especially who come to mind. I'll get more into detail on this when I can.

Ragnarök Now 3: Conclusion
Ranger of the Forest replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Thank you both for the feedback. Part of my frustration stemmed from the fact that there wasn’t much I could do or say that would convince people, at that point. I chose a pretty rotten time to start playing, as I was very busy the whole month and didn’t have as much time as I thought I would to play. It’s my fault for making a commitment I couldn’t dedicate real time too. I did enjoy being part of this game, and hopefully I will be able to participate more in the future. Thanks again to TPRU for letting me play, this game was fantastic -
Ragnarök Now 3: Day Six
Ranger of the Forest replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Or you can choose not to waste your lynch, because the protection is most likely what prevented there being a second kill last night, unless the scum decided not to kill everyone. Then why aren't people howling for Jafri's lynch as well? I understand that I was apparently blocked on a night with one kill, but people claim that my general scumminess comes from the fact that I post late in the day, which I've already explained, and that I followed my instincts and voted for Cranebeinn. I'm sorry I didn't completely trust Pudding-Head on day 2. And as for Toki, I explained my reasons for voting for him. If you don't like them, tough luck. I don't see many original thoughts coming from your voting process here either. Unvote:Toki(TrumpetKing) Vote:Ragnvald(Ranger of the Forest) At this point I'm completely ok with you all axing me, all I've learned is that I'm not cut out for this. -
Ragnarök Now 3: Day Six

Yeah, but no one's saying that they're suspicious of you or anyone else who voted for Cranebeinn for that reason. I know it isn't a good case, but what else can I say? I have no way to prove that I'm town unless I break the rules and quote my role pm. -
Ragnarök Now 3: Day Six
Ranger of the Forest replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
From everyone who uses the fact that I voted for him both day 1 and 2 like Jarl did. I don’t think he’s in the clear, I’ve said so before, but voicing suspicions against Cranebeinn at this point doesn’t seem productive. One of the most prominent reasons people have been suspicious of me is because I was such a strong promoter of the Cranebeinn lynch. Supporting that wouldn’t help me or the rest of the town unless something concrete against him came up. I fail to see what lynching me will do for the town as a whole. I know I’m not scum, even if you don’t. What do you have to go on from lynching me when I turn up town the next day? Unless I was actually scum like many of you think, lynching me accomplishes very little. I’m probably not doing myself any favors with this, so I’ll stop talking for the present.
