Ragnarök Now 3: Day Six
Ranger of the Forest replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Meaning I was one of the first to voice suspicions against Cranebeinn, and Jarl used some of the things I said to support his case against him as well. Even though Jarl’s dead now, I’ve taken a lot of flack for supporting a lynch against Cranebeinn along with him. Even though I wasn’t the only one who supported his lynch early on, I get most of the blame for voting for him. The fact that after Toki says he’ll place more trust in the town block, he reacts very poorly to the leader of the town block pointing out his faulty numbers of people who’ve been cleared. There was no need for him to become so defensive about that. Just accept that you weren’t right and move on. Quibbling over numbers seems counterproductive to catching scum. Petr has fallen prey to that as well. -

Vote: Toki (Trumpetking) You’ve been on my radar for longer than day 5, but what you’ve said both yesterday and today has strengthened my belief that you are indeed scum. -

In addition to Toki, who’s already been called out for acting scummy, Lauga, Tarr, and Jafri have all been flying under the radar for a while and haven’t faced much scrutiny for it. And for someone who hasn’t been cleared either, Petr is acting very sure of himself, which strikes me as odd. I don’t really know who else has or hasn’t been cleared yet, so maybe I’m wrong. But there’s always a possibility of a godfather being on the list of those already cleared, since they show up as town when investigated, from my understanding. I think another possibility was that the scum targeted the person who was protected last night. I’m not asking for you to tell me who’s been cleared or not, since that would be immensely stupid, but you have to understand I’m working solely off of my own theories. I have no information outside of what I personally know, which is that I’m town, and what’s been said here. -

I haven’t had the time to state a ton of suspicions for the past few weeks. I was the first one to vote for Cranebeinn, and I was clearly wrong about that. Whenever I voice new suspicions, they’re proven to be false. I clearly can’t trust my intuition, and thus I’ve been afraid to speak up for fear of becoming a target of ridicule. The only thing I’ve done right this whole time was refusing to jump onto Brand’s bandwagon because I didn’t think he was scum. But at least his death gave the town something to go on. Killing me won’t tell you anything, except that you were wrong and that I’m town. Weak case, I know, but what else can I say? There’s no way of you knowing that for yourselves unless you investigate me. Which likely won’t happen, because many of you seem deadset on lynching me, even though nothing I’ve said or done has mattered before today. I’m mostly frustrated that people are choosing to waste this day by focusing on me instead of on people who’ve actually done things worth talking about. I’m not in the town’s inner circle, I had no idea if our vig was still alive or what. The only thing I’m certain of right now is that I’m town. I’m willing to do whatever it takes to help the town. And if the rest of you think that my death will give some sort of clue to as to who the scum really are, then do what you must. As everyone’s pointed out, I haven’t participated much and have said nothing of value. My death won’t be that great of a loss to the town, even though I tried my best to be of service. I’m sorry. -

I apologize for my silence, again I’ve been out of town and unable to participate that much. I didn’t even know I was the hammer vote until after I had voted. And as for Cranebeinn, I think Jarl used me as a platform to voice his “suspicions” against Cranebeinn. I’ll readily admit that I was mistaken about his being a viable lynch candidate . Yes, it’s very convenient for you that I’ve fallen under suspicion, considering you were under a lot of scrutiny yesterday. Anyone else want to lynch Toki? I’m afraid any parroting I might’ve done is from lack of real knowledge rather than an attempt to hide. The only person I’ve had outside contact with this whole time was Tarben, who told me that he had a town read on me and asked for my suspicions. Feel free to question me further, I’d be happy to oblige. I have nothing to hide. I’m not sure what I’m supposed to say here. That I’m innocent and the fact that I was blocked last night was an unfortunate coincidence? It’s true, but who’s going to believe me? I’m willing to answer any questions people have. How are you so sure that Danr wasn’t killed by the scum? -

Where else are we supposed to put our trust? It’s a little weird how you seem hesitant to support a town block that has been pretty effective for us, the town, so far. Not to say that they’re infallible, but frankly they’re our best shot at rooting out the scum. Also, when you said that you suspected him to be third party and not a corrupted, it made it sound like you knew that he couldn’t be a corrupted because you were one yourself. If you are town, I hope you can understand why that would sound a little off. If you’re not, well, try harder next time Well that simplifies things. Vote: Dar (Dragonfire) I’ve never had a strong read on you either way, but it would be foolish to not trust in the investigator’s results when we’re so close to wiping out all of the scum. -

Vote: Lodmund (Lord Duvors) It’s hard to find anything new to say here. You’ve done nothing but make yourself look more scummy with every post. You unvoiced a person who admitted to being scum. You failed to provide a working link to your supposed writeboard, which makes it seem like you made the whole thing up in an attempt to clear yourself. Your conversation with Jarl does not seem realistic at all, and is most likely fake. Furthermore, you seem to have given up trying to defend yourself. I find it hard to believe that a townie would just quit like this. I’ve been on the road the past few days with limited WiFi so I haven’t been able to follow along or post at all. But since I now have full internet access, this shouldn’t be a problem. -

Wh- What? Wait, what? I just don’t understand what your thought process was here. This is insane. Why would you unvote someone who had already confessed that they were scum? Am I going crazy? Why? Why would you do something like this? I didn’t really have a read on you before, but this whole incident makes you look pretty scummy. And as for the traitor debate, there either is one, which is why the scum are acting so desperate to find them, or there isn’t actually a traitor and this entire thing is just being used to stir up paranoia among the town. I’m leaning more towards the latter at the moment, since it seems strange that the scum have given the traitor multiple opportunities to contact them and yet no one who’s actually the traitor has, as far as we, the town, know. -

Umm...well this simplifies things Vote: Mist (Mencot) Apologies for the lateness of this post, family has been keeping me busy the past few days While Cranebeinn isn’t 100% cleared, Jarl turning up scum makes it more likely that he’s town. I feel bad for going after him so much now, since it seems like I’m wrong. Sorry if this is the case, Cranebeinn Munud, however, is acting extremely scummy at the moment, and if it wasn’t for Mist I’d say that we should lynch him. You may not think that what you’re saying is contradictory, Munud, but it seems that way to everyone else. You also don’t seem to realize that quantity doesn’t always equal quality. Sure, you’ve posted a lot, but has any of it been useful? From what I read, the only thing your posts did was make you look more suspicious. Which helps the town if you’re scum, of course -

I’d like to point out that I was the first person to vote for you yesterday, but have it your way Unvote: Cranebeinn the Redder (Chromeknight) Bear in mind that this is not because of anything you have said or done, Cranebeinn. I want us to get a lynch today, and it doesn’t seem like you’re be the best bet at this point. I still find you suspicious, though. But the case against Jarl is pretty convincing. Especially since he made it seem like it was a "one or the other" situation in regards to his affiliation and Cranebeinn's. If he turned up as scum, it wouldn’t automatically clear you as town. Just as voting for Lambi yesterday doesn’t clear Tarben. Plus the fact that he also voted for Cranebeinn yesterday, only after I had first voted, makes me doubt my own judgment a bit. And if there really is a reason to keep Cranebeinn around, then who am I to stop that from happening? Vote: Jarl Name-Loser (jluck) I also find Mist very scummy right now, but again Jarl seems to be our best lynch candidate for today. I sincerely hope we’re making the right decision here. -

Vote: Cranebeinn the Redder Cranebeinn has done nothing today but convince me further that he is scum. His posts are confused and muddled, and his fishing for roles doesn’t help either. Nor does his over defensive attitude. Although Pudding-Head’s words cast a shred of doubt in my mind, I can’t help but feel that lynching Cranebeinn is the best course of action for today. If he does get lynched, I sincerely hope I’m right about him being scum. This game is starting to mess with my brain -

It’s a shame about Patrekr and Brand being town, but I’m glad we’ve already eliminated one corrupted I think we need to take a closer look at the people who hopped on the Brand bandwagon without providing a good reason for doing so *cough*Cranebeinn*cough* -
Ragnarök Now 3: Day One
Ranger of the Forest replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
What? Brand has already effectively been lynched today. The majority of people are not voting for you. Why are you acting so defensive about this? You’re just making me more suspicious of you than I was before. -
Ragnarök Now 3: Day One
Ranger of the Forest replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Pretty sure I already gave a variety of reasons in my first post but okay. I agree with Petr, this is rather strange. You have no reason to defend him, at all Unless you’re both on the same, scummy side, of course I think everyone who accused Cranebeinn, including myself, gave more reasons than “I find him suspicious.” I said my piece against him in post 224, but I’ll gladly repeat myself here. Not only were his reasons for voting "petty and vindictive," he also based his opinion that Jarl was Loyal on the basis that a more experienced player thought he was. I mean, whaaaaat? He's stated multiple times that he has nothing to hide, yet acts very defensive when people call him out on his behavior. His behavior in general just struck me as really bizarre. Probably not as legitimate a reason, but I have a gut feeling about him as well. And as I’ve said before, I’m happy to change my vote if something else comes along. But it looks like Brand is going to get lynched today anyway, unless major unvoting happens in the next 24 hours. Consider yourself under suspicion now as well, Mist -

As others have stated, this comment is really strange. You act so flippant about the convoluted reasoning behind your vote, and yet later on you get very defensive when someone calls you out on it? And claim that you have nothing to hide, despite your reaction. This just seems weird to me. So you accept him as town because someone else does? Am I the only one who finds this weird? Experience may affect how you play the game, but it doesn’t change your alignment. How do you know if Pudding-Head is town or not? You’ve said this kind of thing before. If you have to keep restating that you have nothing to hide, then you might just be hiding something after all. There’s been a lot of strange goings-on here, but I find Cranebeinn’s behavior to be some of the weirdest. So for now I’m going to Vote: Cranebeinn (Chromeknight) There’s still 35 hours left in the day, so I’d be happy to reconsider my vote if more information comes forward and/or if we have a better lynch candidate. -

Do you have any reason for picking Brand and Tarben specifically out of the three? Were you just using them as an example, or do you think they’re scum and Pudding-Head isn’t? -

I'm not trying to be defensive here. You're the one who's calling me out on something. Am I just supposed to ignore that? Not that everything I found while looking back was immensely important, but I wanted to get a few things that hadn't been discussed clarified, both for myself and everyone else. I also want to be an active part of this town. I didn't sign up for this so I could sit around and not participate. I'm trying my best to follow along and asked questions when needed.I'm sorry if my contributions don't meet your standards. I mean, your general point is valid, but it's hard not to feel attacked when you single me out like that. If that makes sense? I need sleep. I'll be back later though. -

If you’ve actually read the thread, you can see that I did go back and ask a few questions about some earlier posts. And no one can really have concrete suspicions on day one. Maybe I don’t feel like sharing what few, vague suspicions I have this early on. I have stated before that I find the interactions between Brand and Cranebeinn to be quite odd. Same can be said of this weird Pudding-Head/Brand/Tarben thing that’s going on. -

What else do you have to concentrate on? What on earth is more important than this? This spat, or whatever you want to call it, has arguably been the most interesting thing that’s happened yet, though. Not necessarily the content of the PMs, but the reactions to them. -

Yes, it is. I’ve been a lurker for a while but finally decided to make my home here Brand’s defense/accusation of Cranebeinn did strike me as odd. As did some of Cranebeinn’s replies. It’s still early on in the day, so who knows. That’s very comforting to hear -

Fair enough. Slightly surprised that some in our number have yet to post at all. Is it merely timezone differences to blame or are people just not stalking the forum like me? Either way, hearing other people’s views would be helpful. I don’t feel as if I really have any exciting insights to add as of yet. Not that we’re very far into the day. But still. Waiting for stuff to happen is frustrating I have only vague suspicions, but I don’t feel very comfortable in sharing them right now. I’m going to go back and look more closely at all the posts so far. I’ll let everyone know if I find anything interesting. -

I see you’re currently lurking around the hall, Cranebeinn. Do you have anything to say about Brand’s comments regarding your affiliation? Or is your scum team busy coaching you on how best to reply?
