That spoiler looks awesome and yes it looks familiar... It also gives the truck a little more height and that looks very nice. And you added the chromed steps and front grill, nice too... Yeah, well, I don't know. I don't mind you share of this with us, it is just amazing. Let me say that it is up to you...

I am sure you are right about that, you have a plan and please stick to it! You make me more and more curious about it, but I have to patient...

Well yeah, that is massive... This is going to be an impressive truck, that is for sure!!! Are you sure you don't want to shorten the skirts by 4 studs or so, to make it a little shorter. For me the height/length proportion is a little lost, but that is personal I know Never the less will the final combination you have in mind be extremely impressive!!! That is what we all can be sure of

WOW, yet it is going to one heck of a massive beast, that is for sure!!!

You are doing an excellent job here!!! The roof is nicely adjusted to fit both Receivers, I did this on some truck too exactly the same way... It is a little crowded inside the cabin now with all the wires. With the roof on, you no longer notice it... About the M-motor location, I think it is brilliant. Yes, how do you get it connected with what it is suppose to do? Well good luck on that one!!! Thanks again for sharing these pictures.

You are right about that, that bucket would be awesome. And the combination you describe will be awesome too!!! -
Great that this is what you have been waiting for... I think it is very nice myself too and I also mean when it comes to playability... No it is not hard to turn with both axles down!!! In the YouTube movie there are two parts you can see the truck driving in a turn, both are a overview footages. The first one at 0:22 is with the trailer loaded and the rear axle down. The second part at 1:30 is with the trailer empty and the rear axle up. Both drive very smooth, at a smooth service of course! You can clearly see that with the rear axle up it has a tighter turn. That is exactly what why I gave this trailer this liftable axle... If you want to you can drive it loaded with both axles down and empty with one axle up. Does this explanation make sense to you?

It excites me to read comments like these. Satisfying to know there are a bunch of guys, and I hope girls as well , who really are into these models of mine. Never did I realize I am about the only one who builds model team creations (with PF!!!) and that released BI and parts lists for it. There are so many great truck builders, but apparently I am the only one that makes others able to build them as well, good to know. To know this is really rewarding and I surely will release much much more!!! Yeah, I know what it is that you are waiting for please be patient... The truck with the liftable steered axle will be released this December. The Detachable Gooseneck Lowboy Trailer will be released March 2015. It all sound far far away (from these marvelous movies SW), but again it takes a load of time to create these BI I am sure you realize this now that you build many of my models You are right, the chassis is only 6 studs wide and the space in between only is 4! Never the less I did manage to get it done One hint as you can see in the movie on this truck, I use Pneumatics. The advantage is you can install the air pump anywhere in the truck, for example inside the skirts?, and let the Pneumatic cylinder do all the work A mechanical solution like in this trailer I released is way to large to fit in. Have fun building and have a nice weekend, and remember, don't give up, that is what I did, never give up and that gave birth to these creations of mine!!!

To start with, I really like the way you build this one up. As I wrote before, I also like the way you display things to us. Imagine I even managed to give this Heavy Duty Truck of mine a liftable steered axle... BI for that specific model will be available later this year, but I know you can't wait... This is really what I love about the way you build, you give it a try yourself. Well keep it up, keep on trying and thanks for sharing these pics. This really give us an idea of what you are building. One last "comment". Please realize the more rubber, the more friction less better it performs. Never the less I think you should go on with it, but your kids might not have as much fun as with the 3 axles version. So that one is theirs and this Black Beast is yours... About the coupler system. What I did was using a string from the sleeper to the fifth wheel. This string operates the fifth wheel and was powered with a system sitting inside the cabine. A string doesn't take much room and this might still work with this creation of yours...

Well it would be nice if you could build your own some day! I am looking forward to it from now on... Thanks for the kind words, yes there are so many great builders. You are right about my trucks in this style, I might be the only one, well at least who releases BI. To bad you might have to sell your Technic stuff, that is true... On the other hand it might be useful to be focused. This is exactly what I did, the main reason why I don't have official sets for example. There are some nice ones, but one can't have it all... Plus, you have other hobbies as well, so I understand... Well, with this kind of weather a broken fridge is the last thing you want. I understand completely this is not what you want, well good luck with it!!!

As always, just more then amazing!!!! -
I can imagine it is a little hard for a 4 year old Well, you are taking this build to next level! Thanks for doing so and sharing it with us, very nice to see that people take my MOC in to there own hands and "remodel" them!!! Some picture will be nice indeed

Thanks! The thing is: I don't want electronic steering control I want the steering to react to the angle the trailer has to the fifth wheel. In other words I want the steering to be mechanic and not electronic. Current fifth wheel design, which is great, doesn't suite for this job. In order to achieve this a Technic turn table or kind of has to be installed, but doesn't allow automatic coupling...so that is my dilemma That basically is also the reason I build this EasySteer trailer by Elphinstone. It has a so called stinger steered mechanism which allows steering without electronic devices...

I guess you are sure about that buddy! For me as a builder it is all happiness too, that is for sure... Does is perform well when your kids drive it around. It is quite easy to handle, but fragile since it is LEGO O now I see, you go the other way. That also means you have to add a little length to the skirts...I am curious how that will look like...

Thanks for the kind words! I am very happy how this trailer came out and fits with this T1 MkII truck! @ritztoys: Having these trucks with a bunch of trailers, together with the other MOCs of amazing builders you have, will look just amazing on your next show...

I have been releasing a couple of rebuild in the last couple of months. This has been very satisfying also because of the building instructions I released with them. So many enthusiastic people all around the glove are building my MOCs. Never the less, here is a completely new build: Model "Trailer Tr10" is build with LEGO® in scale 1:17,5 and motorized using LEGO® Power Functions. It is not build after a specific brand or type of trailer. This build represents the well known typical US style spread or split axle flatbed trailer. Another custom design that comes with building instructions and inventory/parts list! Never did I hide my preference for flatbed and log trailers. Basically because this adds the most playability to a build. Once I build this refer and even though it was much fun building, there was no fun running around with it. The weight of this model exceeds the limits of what my semi-trucks are designed to haul. So that I why I build another flatbed, this time without a drop in its deck. Again does this build feature full solid axle suspension on both axles, three sets of lights, kingpin, remotely controlled landing gear and parking break and many details, but it also features toolboxes and a remotely controlled liftable rear axle. Even though it is not very common for this type of trailer to have a liftable rear axle I implemented it anyways. Mainly because of two reasons: A) One channel of the PF IR Receiver is used to operate the landing gear which engage/disengage the parking brake simultaneously. One channel was left to be used. Obviously the second one is used to raise and lower the liftable rear axle. B) The more tires means more rubber equals more friction. To reduce the drawback of it when it comes to playability the most rear axle is liftable. What basically happens is this mechanism forces the suspension to bottom out. Where normally weight would engage the suspension to act now there is this lever that does the work. For this reason this axle is sprung soft, but the the first axle is sprung hard. With the second axle lifted the first axles has to be stiff enough to bare the trailers empty weight. The axle setup of a spread axle trailer is not just randomly picked. It really has a purpose and it all is related to weight. Commonly this axle configuration is mostly found on flatbeds, car haulers and refrigerated trailers. As described this is a typical US style trailer. Cheers, Ingmar Spijkhoven

Thanks for sharing this review with us!!! I will not buy nor build this set, because I am not into sets. Never the less is it amazing, it is large, impressive and a very cool LEGO set!!! Keep it up LEGO!!! And you jim as well of course...

Well, to be honest, I didn't see that one coming!!! Never the less, I am very happy with it!!! Thanks!!! And yes it is coming along nicely, keep it up... Thanks buddy! That is very much appreciated! Yes it is good looking and I love the view of the Red one sitting in front of your computer showing my BI and you are working on the Black one the same time, very nice!!! About the chassis, I didn't wonder because I love the way you build it right now. Building it without a chassis, I thought you did it on purpose Well what are you plans on the chassis? Are you going to remove the Red body work and replace it with the Black body work? BTW, you have a nice "stand" to support the Red version. I support all my models for many years now in a similar way, this to prevent the rubber belts from stretching to much. This way you keep the RB's in the best possible shape! So thanks for showing us... Yes, I agree, share your builds with us. Inspire us to build more and other to build it as well. Maybe in the future we might be in the Guinness Book of Records. A picture showing all versions of this MOC

Well, thanks ritztoys for sharing your build of this model with us, as well as your others! Nice to know there is one of these in the US! The design is US oriented, so I am very happy with it! The second picture is just amazing, the one with the container in the back. This really makes the truck come to live. And I am happy the Technic guys did identify the other truck, if I am correct there is this other topic here on EB about it @ Lundgren, nice to see that you are back and building again! I am curious how this one will going to look like in the end...

I really love this customized repainted version of this truck. So nice to see that someone takes this build to a hole new level. This really is one of kind. You already showed me some pictures, but now I can see even more details. The interior looks great too! @ Lundgren: How are your builds doing? It has been quiet for a while...are you still alive...?
