LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
MartinCliffe replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
While I'm not overly confident or optimistic about this list, should it be true then I'd be very happy... and let's face it, I'm probably going to buy all of them anyway ;) Wonder what happened to 75156 and 75159 though... -
Ordinary LEGO blasters? PM me - I've got a load I'm not using, and shipping from Hong Kong is very cheap. Isn't it standard to get paid once a month everywhere in the world?

If it's stiff enough, that should work fine. You don't want anything too stretchy. I have various sets hanging by used guitar strings, works really well. Compared with the tension they're under on a guitar, even the heaviest LEGO set is no problem. -
I can live without the inner spokes on mine, but I agree the bottom cannon is missing. Ordered a couple of FO Snowspeeders for a good price on Amazon. That makes all the TFA sets except the Falcon, which I'm hoping my wife has picked up on all the hints I've dropped and will buy me for Christmas :)

LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors
MartinCliffe replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I've only really had trouble with 1x1 clips and the similar clips on horse / tauntaun saddle pieces. They're really brittle. Disappointing. -
Really? My sheet only came with 4 stickers, the two for the round tiles on the wings, and the two red rectangles for the sloped bits of the right strangely-shaped piece between the cockpit and the wing.

Received my FO Tie Fighter, Transport, Kylo Ren's Shuttle and Poe's X-Wing this week. Also Bricklinked parts to build a white / blue X-wing. Surprisingly expensive, but had to be done :)
-
Mine's due to arrive today. I'll definitely attempt to make some similar modifications when I build it.

LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
MartinCliffe replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'll delay passing judgement until I actually see it, but I'm quite pleased by the rumours, because it should fit in with the other stuff in my Hoth layout, rather than just being a stand-alone set. -
Damnit, could have saved quite a bit if I'd waited 2 more days before ordering :(

This looks so cool, nice work

Nice, I've assembled quite a collection of sw585 Stormies. Prices vary significantly from place to place, and the Advent Calendar doesn't seem to have impacted this too much yet. I just ordered the big 3 First Order sets, 75101 TIE, 75103 Transporter and 75104 Shuttle. Hoping for the Falcon and X-Wing for Christmas / birthday. Also planning ahead for some of the new sets with an order of some weapons from The Little Arms Shop.

How do you display your models? With or without stickers?
MartinCliffe replied to hallonsylt's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Stickers on always. I don't take stuff apart, and most of my mods are fairly insignificant. But sets with fewer stickers are always preferable. -
Jeez! I was in exactly the same position some months back (albeit not with UCS sets). Spent way more than I should in a short space of time. I came clean, and it was a huge sense of relief. Get it over with, dude. Better than her catching you out! Back to the thread at hand, not wishing to sound like a broken record, but I just ordered another MicroFighter Homing Spider Droid to get the EpIII poster (and for the droid and parts). That makes the set.

Liking the look of these so far. Can see me picking up one of everything except the spider droid... and probably an extra one of each battle pack. I don't think I'll be buying 6 or 7 of each battle pack like last year though... -
Finally picked up the Tyderium today. Going to wait until next week to build it though as I have some time off. I'll get something small (probably another Microfighters HSD) next week to get the Ep 3 poster, but I'm waiting on the rest of the Ep7 sets for a little while longer.

[MOD] Imperial Star Destroyer 75055 (super simple)
MartinCliffe replied to ArchieNov's topic in LEGO Star Wars
It's just the two 1x2 jumpers. I've just tried it, works brilliantly. Thanks for sharing such a simple but effective idea! -
Another Micro-fighter Homing Spider droid to get the Ep II poster from S@H, then Rey's Speeder and a Shadow Troopers battle pack to get the C3-PO polybag from Toys'R'Us :)
-
I have the first three, hopefully also the Ep 1 one (asked my mum to check - I have to get S@H stuff delivered to their place in England as there's no S@H here in Hong Kong). Hopefully when I go back for Christmas, I'll have all 6 :)
-
Ordered a Homing Spider Droid micro fighter from S@H to get the Ep I poster. Used some VIP points, so it cost very little. Been building up a few minifigs (stormtroopers, mandalorians, wolfpack) on Bricklink to add to my collection too.

Is that site in Europe? Because 10/11/2015 means the 10th of November to a lot of Europeans... -
Amazing, impressive work! Thank you for sharing.

Probably the Snowspeeder or the Gunship. The AT-AT is cute, but not accurate or swooshable! None are particularly designed with accuracy in mind! -
[MOC] Rebels - Wolf - Modified and Tagged Tie Fighter
MartinCliffe replied to gavralcraw's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Very cool. I'm still hoping that we'll see this as a set, although that hope is gradually fading... -

Just keep checking http://shop.lego.com/en-GB/LEGO-Star-Wars-free-posters - it looks to be about every 5 weeks.
