  1. There is a 9 speed gearbox in the real car, so Dugald built a 9 speed gearbox in this model using a CVT.
  2. You can with a clutch ring extension though, right? It is indeed a CVT. I didn’t want to spoil the surprise
  3. That’s the “Fantasma” by Dugald, or the Koenigsegg Jesko (unofficially ) @amorti A FB page “Kreumel Baut”, he’s also active on Youtube so you can probably also expect a video on his channel soon. He posts photos and videos of his builds similar to Racingbrick. It’s in German though so you’ll either have to understand a little bit lf German or use the translator He has a bunch of other photos including some brake rotors used for a totally different function than normally. I have to say I wasn’t completely sold on the car yet, but seeing the functions and how they are built I really want to build it.
  4. There was, and most of it was massively overblown by a German youtuber. LEGO has a patent on the orange wave selector and he claimed everyone who used it in MOCs and altbrick manufacturers could/would all be sued for using it in their MOCs/sets. CaDA in cooperation with Bruno and Efferman (I think) came up with this. Better safe than sorry of course.
  5. If anyone was wondering, this is CaDA’s solution to the wave selector “drama”. I’m still not sure how it works exactly but the result is pretty much the same as the orange wave selectors from LEGO. (not my photos)
  6. Here is the Promobricks article translated (very roughly) in English:

  8. To be fair, everything seems expensive in comparison nowadays. There is no part count mentioned of this new set, and the prices appear to be in dollars (presumably American). The Ferrari is $200 USD in America. So that matches up.
  9. 42156 is likely a 1:10 supercar similar to the Porsche 911 RSR and Ferrari 488 GTE.
  10. Not to get too hopeful, but it’s about time… https://www.brickfanatics.com/lego-bricks-pieces-get-even-better/
  11. The “Fantasma” has been listed on cada’s website: https://decadastore.com/collections/new-releases/products/cada-bricks-fantasma-sports-car-c61048w edit: and the video
  12. It would also be quite heavy. They would just hang way too low.
  13. Quite possibly. The chassis is indeed incredibly similar. Some bodywork components also look near identical. Imo I think some of this car looks better, but also some things look worse. Like the Regera this also looks a bit “puffy”. A bit like a blown up balloon if that analogy makes sense . I had a look at the rear end and it looks very off. The real car is incredibly sleek but this one seems almost twice as tall. Whether this is a render issue, a distorted picture or something wrong with the proportions or even a combination of those three, I don’t know. Compared to the real car: Anyway, I am looking forward to building this. I can’t wait to see how he designed the 4 wheel steering and the 9 speed gearbox. I’m also extremely curious if this all works with the CaDA pieces. As discussed yesterday by some the CaDA parts are not quite perfect. The Regera had some minor issues with the opening doors. These seem to have the same mechanism.
  14. The cat’s out of the bag… This is totally not a Koenigsegg Jesko but it is designed by Dugald Cameron Featuring 9 speed gearbox, 4 wheel steering depending on what gear you’re in, everything opens up with gears, removeable roof (can presumably be stored in the frunk), and the usual suspension, fake V8 and hog steering.
  15. You can press “insert” and “add 1:1 scale chart” or something like that. It’s still manual-ish but at least you don’t have to add in a photo every time
  16. As a B model, it's quite good. The list of functions is impressive. The front and rear end are great. But I don't like the area between the front and rear wheels. It's just almost completely flat which just looks bad, imo. On the real car there is a subtle curve which admittedly is very difficult to recreate with Lego, and even harder with the limitations of a B model.
  17. To be fair I have done that several times, and will do it several times more. For some MOCs it’s just cheaper to buy a set instead of Bricklinking the whole thing. For instance, the McLaren P1 by Bruno, Aston Martin DB11 by Jeroen Ottens and Aston Martin Vantage by Dugald it was cheaper (at the time ) to buy a second hand Porsche GT3RS for €150-€200. I will buy a second and third Ferrari Daytona when a nice deal comes along or when I just need most of its parts. But when you just need a few new panels in high quantities it would be nice to just order them separately instead of spending hundreds on some sets where 95% is not useful. I just needed 20 of the new 2x3 panel in red for a build. There are some on Bricklink for the low price of $7.95 a piece, but I think I will wait a bit…
  18. Not just that, NONE of the new pieces or recolors of existing pieces released this year are available to order on PaB, as far as I have checked. The current service is absolutely embarrassingly bad. The shipping times are still long, though admittedly they have improved, but it’s still four weeks vs six weeks.
  19. Exactly what I was looking for! Thanks.
  20. Does anyone know the difference is stiffness between these two shock absorbers, and if so how much? On bricklink, the first one is listed as “hard” and the second one is listed as “extra hard”. They feel identical but I don’t have the tools to test it. https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=2909c02&name=Technic, Shock Absorber 9.5L (Hard Spring)&category=[Technic, Shock Absorber] https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=95292c01&name=Technic, Shock Absorber 9.5L (Extra Hard Spring)&category=[Technic, Shock Absorber]
  21. Should be today. I can order it right now for €350 in the Netherlands.
  22. I think I got something today that qualifies... I picked up a lot with a bunch of late 90s technic, with some older and newer stuff here and there. I haven't gone through it all, but here is what I have found in the two boxes so far: 3x Scala trash bin (aka P1 exhaust) 12x white hard shock absorber 28x blue piston 10x red piston 14x white 2L axle 4x red 1x6 thin liftarm 10x damped shock absorber 8x red 9.5 long shock absorber 16x yellow 9.5 long shock absorber 23x dark gray 9.5 long shock absorber 15x black 9.5 long shock absorber 2x 8448 steering hubs 14x wheel hubs from 8466 3x power puller tires+1 unprinted tire with wheels 4x Williams Michelin tires The parts are also in excellent condition for their age. No dust, little to no yellowing. I think this has sat on the attic for the last 10-20 years or so. Also included in the lot is: 1.5x set 8466 (I found two sets of axles built, one set was claimed to have been built recently) Complete 8417 Complete 8297 Complete speed computer So far, just the parts I listed above put into a bricklink wanted list, would cost me €750 to order. I paid €275. And there is still so, so much more I spotted, including classic space stuff, incomplete sets such as 8880, 8448, 8865, 8250 and more.
  23. Ferrari, waste handler, airbus… That sounds like three models to me
