  1. Has anyone seen anybody put the CMF Spider-Man head on the MCU Iron Spider body? I wonder if that would look better than the official or 2017 heads on it. Also if anyone's interested, TipsandBricks on Instagram did some good updates on the CMF series a few days ago. They put the AoU head on Scarlet Witch and added some detail and power blasts for Monica.
  2. I saw a video with BigBBricks who showed that Walmart had something similar where they had long blank white cardboard boxes with a couple of CMF bags in it and it ensured that there were no duplicates inside. Someone under Falconfan’s post said that they also did it on S@H for the Looney Tunes series so that you’d never get a duplicate but I personally never saw those. I like the idea of no doubles, and the packaging seems very covid/post-covid friendly.
  3. Sometimes the purist superheroes thread is used that way (or at least it partly used to be when it was more active). But as far as a sole thread for updating figs I don’t believe so. I’d be very open to one. There’s so many good ones that people say that often get lost in this thread.
  4. Agreed with all of these sentiments. Also, I understand that they have a plan with all of their characters, but at this point I just want to see their existing characters be given more of the spotlight like they did in WandaVision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier and less new characters introduced in stand alone movies unless they are truly A-listers like the Fantastic Four, the X-Men. Some characters are meant to be part of a team up issue in the comics or work much better as part of a larger group of heroes, and I would like to see Marvel do some of that. I know their movies aren't out yet but Shang Chi never struck me as having the demand nor the "it" factor to have a stand alone movie, and the Eternals, while excellent in the comics, seem sort of... er redundant and unneeded. But yes lego please bring us some much needed Disney and Infinity Saga characters (Endgame Iron Patriot, US Agent, Baron Zemo, Agatha, and Whiplash )
  5. I also always thought her big bare hand was always strange to see. Same with Plastic Man in DC. Stretching hands work/look best when they have a glove over them (or possibly, in this case, a dull purple glow over them). Raw flesh just compounds how creepy and grotesque the power truly is if it were real. Anyway, even though we’ll probably get a fig of her soon, I kind of wish I bought the set with her in it back in the day. $20 was good and the figure was so unique.
  6. Agreed. Plus they probably don’t want to tackle the same power-set so close to each other. FF coming up is probably why they also made Korg blue instead of orange like The Thing.
  7. Not sure if anyone saw the 360° view of the Advent Calendar on Lego.com but the back of the Tony Stark figure has "TONY" on it and the Spidey figure has this logo printed on the back: Also, I think this box art, both inside and especially out, is some of the best out of any Advent Calendar
  8. With a Spider logo on it instead of a school...
  9. Yeah its a churro made out of a technic pin sitting inside an upside down modified 1x1 brick. I’ve always wanted an advent calendar but oddly enough I likely won’t be picking it up. It has some fantastic stuff but it just doesn’t speak to me. Mini builds are creatively built and look very nice. Helicarrier, Hall of Armor, and Hulk Buster are my favs Hall of Armor additions (wrapping paper station and a slot for the Holiday Armor with wreath) are very unexpected but welcomed inclusions Love that Thanos has a piece of coal and that Cap and Hulk are referenced in gifts Also happy that Cap Marvel and the green Infinity Gem will become cheaper. Sad that the drone is Spider-Man colored and that the Arc Reactor is just every MOCer’s purist idea and not printed
  10. Can’t wait to upgrade Bucky, Quill, and Aou Cap too! And I fully agree with you about the cape. It sticks out waay too weird and far behind. I’m considering upgrading the 2013 Arctic Batman with a pair of Vision’s (erased 😬) legs. Also T’Challa’s head, and hair for that matter, could work for a smiling M’Baku figure. The beard seems perfectly thick.
  11. Also shoutout to Lego for giving 2 of the Pet Avengers in this theme (idc if he’s a robot, Redwing still counts). Get the Creator pug polybag for Lockjaw, a Lego City jungle cat, pretend a Friends animal is Ms. Lion, and throw in a Flerken from Captain Marvel just for the heck of it and you’ve got a nice MCU/comics lineup
  12. My list from favorite to least favorite: Falcon Cap Monica Scarlet Witch White Vision Captain Carter Zombie Cap Gamora Loki Spidey Star Lord T’Challa Bucky Sylvie I think the DC CMF won some toy awards and honestly this series should too. From the detail, to the representation, to the accuracy (on most things), to the creativity, Lego really knocked it out of the park with this wave of collectable figs.
  13. I was just about to say its perfect for that part of the show. Still funny that Lego made Vision’s blue stone yellow on two separate occasions though Love the fig now, pretty much exactly what I expected when I heard the Promobricks descriptions but I still wish the stone (and maybe the eyes) were blue. But hey we’ll get that soon enough.
  14. The good part about this wave is that if you don’t like some of the figures, they’ll likely appear again in the future (bar the What If? figures and a few others probably) Don’t like Falcon’s levels of detail but don’t want to erase the arm and leg prints and just want to complain instead? Boom we know he’ll be sticking around the MCU for a while. Was your most anticipated White Vision (like it was for me) but this gray variant doesn’t meet your needs (like it doesn’t for me) then boom he’ll be around in the future too and likely looking far more accurate in a set down the line.
  15. What a small world I actually just found the picture on Google, @BrickBob Studpants is the one who got the wrong label from a store on Bricklink. Pretty cool though that your concept was spot on enough to trick a Bricklink vendor of all people haha. Haha same, hope they release something in the future
  16. Was this an official Lego Store? Did they possibly get it confused with this MOC with the same set number somehow?
  17. Sylvie looks like a country bumpkin. Accurate torso print tho. Is that the same Spidey head as the No Way Home sets? As others have said, I’d be very open to the possibility of a Marvel Disney set with the MK 80 suit just like the Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge one.
  18. Same the Seinfeld one looks nothing like Loki's tbh.
  19. And honestly if you add a roof to the SUV from the 4+ set you get s pretty nice Lego City vehicle. The black wheels and police lights are a nice touch. Really can’t wait to get that set. Black and red Spidey has been my most wanted figure alongside Stealth Suit Cap.
  20. stark_brick_industry on instagram did a crazy huge mod but my favorite part was that he removed the window pieces and replaced them with 1x2x5 clear pieces. Such a better/cleaner look. As for figures to add, I saw someone put comic Vulture flying on the roof in a similar way to Firestar and it looked really good. Electro would be awesome too. I love Lego's Shocker so I'd probably have him blowing a hole on the ground floor if I had the set just for fun. Maybe Beetle as an homage to the original? Also, not a huge fan of the green lobby tiles, I'd probably change those to a more realistic color. All the other floors look good despite being bright though imo.
  21. I feel like there hasn’t been a perfect design yet. I like the current comic ones and these new No Way Home ones the best for sure. But the original MCU eyes always seemed to small and the All New All Different Spider-Man head lacked enough darkness in the webbing design for me. Ultimate Spider-Man’s were great at the time and without any other basis for comparison, but looking back now they’re waaay too big. I feel like the spells are just for universe hopping if they are going the Spider-Verse route. Maybe one of these suits is the equivalent of the Endgame Quantum Realm suits in terms of being designed specifically for time/space travel and using nano particles to let the character change appearance.
  22. Honestly if Lego doesn't want to print a new shield I'd be fine with it. The elevator scene has him in the stealth suit with the red shield. What I would love though is a new mold to make Cap have a shield on his back. Unlikely but hey, after today's molded Dr. Strange Cloak, we can dream
  23. Very interesting. It seems that Wong has also mastered Python or something of the like. Between this and being a cage fighter in Shang Chi, I think Wong’s looking for a career change.
  24. Ah very interesting. It reminds me of the Uptown Pride suit from the Miles Morales videogame. Basement! Of course! I kept trying to figure out whether they were turning the Sanctum into a workshop to explain it to the citizens in the movie for some reason
  25. SPIDER-MAN NO WAY HOME SET! THIS IS NOT A DRILL PEOPLE! AND FAR FROM HOME JUNIORS!!!
