  2. Amazing, that look more like model than Lego. And thank you for sharing the LDD file, that is a big help for my furture work.
  3. I found the Banbao you said, it's really design according to HXD2. HXD2 is electricity, and the model I made (http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=115631&view=findpost&p=2352149) is HXN3, it's diesel. In fact, All steam locomotive is retired now.
  4. I'm Chinese and familiar most China locomotive, I think you design according to HXD2, am I right?
  5. The Votage of the smoke generator I every used is higher than 9V, It's hardly drivered by lego battery box. And the main issue is it special used for train model, you must install whole system into your lego train, my train haven't enough room for it. And the last, the price of the generator is more than $60, my device only $2 and no continious cost, water is free.

  7. It's bought from China shopping site.
  8. Yes, but smoke is small used in aroma therapy. This is nomally used in humidifier.
  9. Since finished my QJ locomotive(http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=133621#entry2572918), I begin to plan upgrade smoking effect. At beginning, I plan to use smoking device always used on train model but finally failed. It's not suitable to Lego train. Finally, I found a good solution. The secret is this device, Micro ultrasonic atomizer. Install it in my train, the circle board can be put in tender. Here is final effect You can see from video, the effect is vivid. YouTobe is forbidden in China, I hope you can link the video in china site http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMTYwODIzMDEwOA==.html
  10. Wow, that really a "big boy", I like all details of it, that is like a train model more than Lego MOC. The only pity is picture is less, hope to enjoy more details of it.
  11. Rijkjavik Thanks again for more information, that is useful for me. 3D LEGO I think you are not only a train funs, but also a professional train engineer, thank you for your explaining about the coupler.
  12. Good job, the windshield is highlight spot.
  13. Your design is perfect enough. Is it possible to put the battery box at rear? I think the width of rear is enough for it.
  14. I accept the title "Pearl of the Orient" with great honor . In fact, I was hesitated between blue and red for a long time. Until I take a Vote at a Chinese Lego Forum, most people like the blue version. Here is the your "Iron Dragon of the Orient"
  15. Thank you very much for your advice, and I learned a lot from it. All Chinese steam engine designed both for freight and express, so I don't know the different between them. More question, could your please show me a picture or a link about "traditional buffers usually found at European" ?
  16. Hello guys, this is my favorite MOC, It's not made according any prototype entirly, it mixed different ages' "Oriental express" coaches. Here is some reference General View of coaches Details of appereance The doors can be opened Logo of "Oriental Express" I designed the interior as luxurious as possible. of course, it came from my imagination, because I never have chance have journey by Oriental express. I made two cars, the first one is Living Car.It devided into two balcony. The second one is Sleeping Car. It also have two rooms. The Minifig in 79111 is fit for the atmosphere. Link with my QJ engine May be the coaches style isn't match the QJ, because I'm not familiar with european engine. Perhaps somebody can give me some advice about the engine. Thank you for visiting.
  17. What a wounderful work. Which parts your spot light is, I think it's not the Lego offical part.
  18. Beautiful train, especially the nose and the printed brick. Did you paint the wheel to grey? How do you paint the surface smooth like this?
  19. I like all your steam train especialy Southern Pacific 4449 Daylight. it's beautiful in color and shape.
  20. I also don't like modify the parts unless no other solution. But I think paint is acceptable, even Lego have lots of pained parts. Thank you for your highly praised. In begineing, I'm ready to buy your 5 holes 17 long cunstom rods, but finanly I found this cheaper way.
  21. I paint the wheel to red and white by hand, all China engine paint likes this. The coaches in vedio is disigned according to "oriental express", I'll show it in a new topic soon. Paste photo at Eurobricks really beat me, it's too complex, so I must spend lots time to post a new topic with photo. Your are correct, I stick one 7 stud, one 6 stud and one 4 stud long half beams with resin to a 17 stud long half beams.
  22. QJ means "forward" , It's the peak of steam engine that made by China herself. There are still several QJ runing in USA now for tourism. Here is real engine General View of my MOC Details of engine The light can be lighting The walschaerts valve can be run smoothly, here is vedio link: http://v.youku.com/v...A1NDM3Mg==.html It drived by two M motor Details of Tender Coal Pusher Battery box hidden in water tank Connection of engine and tender Here is vedio link of running http://v.youku.com/v...A1NTQ2NA==.html http://v.youku.com/v...c2Njc1Mg==.html Thank you for visiting.
