  1. Have a wonderfull 2011 and all the best!
  2. And it is The car succeeded very well! Not really technic tho but looks really nice, I like the colors, espcialy the brown interior (and front hood which shows spare tire) same as it 's original!
  3. oww.. I want this one bad! And the backhoe as well The backhoe can be had for 45-50 euro 's at the moment, but the Unimog will cost more, way more I presume (alas) Thanks to the three pointed star at the bonnet..
  4. I like your creations. These last two are really good (as always ). The proportions, the looks.. and the fact that you used only the small amount of parts available and still make something as nice as these things!
  5. Now this is good and handy info! Thanks for sharing
  6. Jup, saw it on lowlug and must say:  Great moc, beatifuk details, overall very good!
  7. I like this tank. It 's small, fast and works very well. With a minimum of parts it does everything very good! Also the building instruction are really cool! Nice work there Must have took quite some time too! Don 't cut any parts if you don 't wont to! Use your imagination en inventiveness instead
  8. ToysXL has it for 59,95 On the dutch trading site Marktplaats it is available for 46,60.. I will get one next year for sure :)
  9. I don 't sell my MOC 's They 're not worth buying I think the fun part is in building things, not selling them. But if someone is offering me 750 US I will reconsider
  10. This really depends on how much space you get, and what the publisher wants with the article, IMHO. I think the publisher will help you with the editing of the story. Often a publication is not very 'in dept', it focus' on the basic idea mostly. But in general I would provide them following footage: Start with basic story, you, your hobby, how you did develop your hobby Tell something about the technic part. How nice it is to develop something that comes close to real life. Or matches it even on a scale level! The difficulties, technical challenges the struggle to make it look good too This gives you a nice 'bridge' to showing examples / and pictures of your own work and / or solutions the use of internet, showing your creations. And help or helping others? + Eurobricks.com, Brickshelf.com needs mentioning off course Something like this maybe?
  11. Great! It even seems to struggle each time it advances yet another step (at the front I mean), so realistic!
  12. This is (yet another!) beautiful piece of design.. Really, how do you do these things each time?
  13. Definatly the 8053. I have one and like it alot. The Technical part is really impressive and it looks good too. The lack of wheels is easily made up for by the amount of gears and other pieces. Let alone, the actuators, motors, IR, the lot. As a bonus it is fun to operate as well AND you get 4 motors, two IR remote control + receiver sets! Though I don 't own the 8258, I think its a no-brainer really..
  14. Nice one! I like it a lot. Aesthetics are very good. And impressive how you build the drive train!
  15. Thank you all I was reluctant at first to post em, considering the stuff exhibited here. Well now I must continue, and I will , my next one will contain more real technic design I promise
  16. I am trying, so please be gentle My two year old son, likes trucks and tractors very much. So I figured I might give it a try and build a little and simple one. So here goes, my first MOC. It 's just small, simple nothing special really: But once finished. I was not satisfied and started to think how to improve it. As it always goes I imagine, or doesn 't it? Well, today I build this one. A little more advanced. But still far from rocket science, mind you. It has front 'suspension' (not really, but you catch my drift) and an utensil axle working 'pto' at the back. I am planning to build more advanced and better things, but one got to start somewhere
  17. Just finished it. Technically it isn 't that challenging, but overall quite satisfying. And the amount of parts is overwhelming. I would rate it 7,5 out of 10 IF one would get it reasonably cheap.
  18. stunning, awesome, great! Told him so on lowlug too. He said he was proud to be posted here I said he had all the reason to be, because these MOC 's are so beautiful!
  19. Thanks for the answers guys! I will try to get the 8258 or the 8265 if the price is too steep for my wife (she 's the one buying this time )
  20. Great! I already followed the competition on lowlug. Fun it is
  21. Everything your build is just.. well awesome! The diversity... the colors.. everything. And not just vehicles, but other stuff as well! it looks so simple easy but its just 100% finished and sooo good looking respect!
  22. Thanks for the reply. I had a better look at the 8265 and must say, it looks indeed pretty cool. I thought it was a small set, but it has more than 1000 parts. It 's about 80-90 euro in The Netherlands.. Hmm, I am adding it to the wish list too, and skip the buggy Besides I got enough motors and the lights from the 66318 super pack. (Tho I could use extra remote controls.) I was thinking just just now; The 8258 is about 130 euro, if I take this as budget maybe combining two sets gets me more? As in more parts and more interesting parts..
