  1. Great! You managed to make them look just as good as the originals Good job!
  2. Thanks! This gives us a nice view of what can be expected I was wondering, second page, first row. The grey parts, the second one as seen from below; is this also a new part?
  3. Ahh, so nice to reply here! You are aware that you guys made the day for all of us who are watching this topic closely? Good job on the large amount of photo 's and the fast upload on the net, thanks!
  4. Great build! There 's plenty room inside for more functions Good job!
  5. In the Netherlands the lowest prices are still €161,50 to 164,50 (maybe one or two euro 's less) Pre-order though
  6. Nice one! I really like the way you managed to get 3 motors and all functionality in such a relative small design. Looks good enough!
  7. Nice MOC there! Really like the way you "pictured" the individual modules! It 's nice to view the way you made this.
  8. This is something I like  I was just thinking last night and this morning, what else can you build besides the obvious cars and trucks? (Well anything actually, but you catch my drift eh!? )
  9. This is a nice MOC, I like it Inventive, the way the gearbox is used. At first I thought a switch was used Good one!
  10. Impressive, big and beautiful! Probably cannot lift very much, but hey, who gives
  11. This is one tiny yet inventive little design. Very nice indeed! And a shame we cannot take a look a the bottom or complete construction.. Thanks splat for letting us view the way it was build! Good work!
  12. First: I love the way you build the thing so far. Good and accurate detailing  The original beetle had sort of torque (?) axles. I am not sure I am using the right word here. Me too, I tried too make a similar front suspension by using a standard axle trough some arms. Where one end was connected -fixed- to a liftarm thin, like this one: Whilst the other end was connected -fixed- to the chassis. Thus creating torsion on the axle. When creating a bigger model, such as an PF one, the axle snaps. This is a classic beetle front axle: You could try to convert it into the 1302 or 1303 ("Super Beetle"). As of 1972, which used McPherson front suspension. This is easier to recreate of course I gave up trying and finally I used a more or less standard suspension on my version.. Note: You probably know that swing axles where only used on automatic transmission beetles? The standard shifters used axle beam at the rear.. (in case you want to stick to 'as close to the original as possible ) And the tile "grille whit groove" should actually be located a little below the engine at the valve 'pushers'( what 's it called?). But now I am probably a bore The engine you created is actually a gem!
  13. Very nice, very good resemblance. All the details, impressive!
  14. Same here.. WTF! This is one realy truly stunning piece of work art!
  15. Thanks! The diff is a new style one driven by a Gear 20 Tooth Double Bevel. On the other side (trough an standard Technic beam is also a 20 tooth Gear which itself drives an 12 tooth gear which connects some Technic, Gear 16 Tooth with Clutch. The gearbox itself is pretty standard. 20 to 12 gears and 16 tooth to 12 and 16 to 16 gears. The slack is on the 20 tooth beveled gear on the diff as far as I can tell.. Here 's a pic from beneath, although one cannot see it very clearly And from above:
  16. Erik is the king of BIG mobile cranes Check out his brickshelf and be stunned
  17. A: this one: Micro motor But it isn 't very powerfull and quite hard to find..
  18. And my Baja Bug is finished. This next MOC is a bit more advanced. I am not totally satisfied, but it was a fun and informative experience It drives not that well, due to the ´new´ differential I guess. One car hear the gears creak Features Fully independent suspension Working Flat 4 engine 3/speed gearbox (not driven unfortunately :omg: ) PF remote controlled PF lights, with switch detailing.. deeplinks As seen from above: The Original (inspiration) Movie on YouTube, bad quality alas
  19. Really impressive! What a great truck, trailer and crane. Love all the action it can do I have never seen such a crane that can move on the trailer. GREAT!!
  20. Sweet Nice work, thanks for posting these small mods. It does indeed improve the thing much. Like the way you post and comment with the nice pictures
  21. Where it not for the studs on the saddle bags, this one could easily have been mistaken for the real deal. Or at least a very high class model.. Excellent work!
  22. I agree to this as well. No change necessary IMO
  23. The note was done by a moderator, so it aint no joke I think the post was because the poster had two posts after another (1 day between em) with nothing much noteworthy. Second to that; there was nothing new to say about the set. At least when one is following the topic (see above for how 's and do 's). If I don 't log on to the forum for several days, weeks, months, etc. there is always tons of new material Me too, I figured it was a strange, unnecessary bump. If there is something new to mention, it will be in the topic in a flash! Well, that is to say; it was every time something new came up, that is.. And I am sure the people who ordered it will look the topic up from whatever depths it has gone and revive it in a hurry with good material and perhaps pictures too.. They want to be first to show of their 8110 I 'm sure! (I would )
  24. Some kind of cloth over them Store them up-side-down Store them in a closet Kitchen foil (if that 's what its called?) http://i40.tinypic.com/2iky7te.jpg And/or this might help also:
