  1. Ki Adi Mundi?? That would be awesome. I guess he would be in the Geonosian SF then? Where did you get all that info, baby?
  2. Am I the only one who doesn't see any guns on the JSF? How can they do a JSF without guns??
  3. It has appeared in the same episode that the new Griveous' SF is based on, the one with Nadhar Vebb. It looks like this. TLG had other options than the JSF as an exclusive...I still think it is a sign that they're running out of ideas for TCW sets.
  4. I think the magnet set was cheap enough ;) A cheaper way to get a non-TCW Mace would be more important. I agree that Mace's SF is just bad material. Kit Fisto's would have been much more beautiful.
  5. That really sucks...don't think I want this set anymore after this review. Maybe I'll buy Saesee and Shaak from BL...but the shuttle is rather useless and ugly.
  6. Thanks for the great review. It would be nice to have pictures of the minifigs in the cockpit, though Which colour is this red, actually? Not just the usual Republic dark red, right?
  7. Thanks commanderneyo! It says "New-January" for the BfG as well, that's great!
  8. Thanks for a great first review! The set is a must buy, great figs and the carrier has some good parts at the very least.
  9. It's not only that the piece count for the T-6 is suspiciously low, it is also the exact same number the Halo has. Looks like a copy&paste mistake to me. The Halo is also made of some very big bricks, btw.
  10. So we got the piece count for each from amazon: Halo: 389 pieces, average value I guess. T-6: 389 pieces as well, I hope that's a mistake, surely a big set like this should have more. BoN: 241 pieces. Good value considering the 12 minifigs. V-Wing: 139 pieces, that's really bad. Clone BP: 85 pieces, Mandalorian BP: 68 pieces, OK for battle packs.
  11. The wing rotating mechanism is asymmetric, can't say I like that. And you can't fit the whole astromech into the fighter - that really sucks, one of the few parts I was really excited about. The new canopy is extremely nice, although the V-Wing is the wrong vehicle to introduce it. But at least it can be opened without taking it off, that sucked on the old V-Wing. Altogether I don't believe I want this set anymore. Too many things wrong with it and the design isn't much better than the 2005 version.
  12. "New requirements"? They say themselves that many (=most) consumers won't like it, why do they even try to disguise it as "Based on new requirements" Anyways, getting magnet sets now is always a good idea. They'll rise in price at the least.
  13. No, we won't see Savage until January, unfortunately. BTW, it has been stated that the Republic Commando's role in the series will be a small one. Opress, on the other hand, will be one of the main characters.
  14. Wow, that really sucks. Good thing I already got my Fisto and Ackbar sets a few weeks ago. I wonder how popular the glued sets will be... On topic: The Ackbar magnet set is a must-buy in your case, the Tantive is a bit too expensive just to buy it for the figs.
  15. The funny thing is that this biplane has the guns on top of the upper wing - a strategy used to avoid hitting the prop as well, as in the S.E.5. Having the guns on top of the wing AND requiring an interrupter gear is one stupid idea.
  16. Same for me, got that set for christmas two years ago and I was amazed. Especially the mechanism to flip from landing mode to flight mode. Still, I wouldn't ever buy a set I don't like.
  17. Genius I just hope they don't do young Anakin with these silly short legs. It might work for dwarves and ewoks, but not for human childrem Sebulba has to be awesome. A new mold for sure, and a rather useful one for a Battle of Malastare - MOC.
  18. Funny, imo the X-Wing is the only set that is really good even by modern standards. But the Snowspeeder? Naboo Fighter? Sith Infiltrator? Those were bad, even considering the limited bricks.
  19. 2006/7 was the best time for LSW. The great remakes of the rebel fighters, ships like the ISD or Republic Cruiser. It's hard to choose, but since 2007 had the Consular and the first amazing battle packs, I voted 2007. How can you say 1999? Not a single set from that time is still in any way attractive.
  20. I think the general idea of involving rather unknown Jedi in the action is a good one. However, many too many episodes still only evolve around Anakin, Obi-Wan and Ahsoka, or even Padme (noticed that each episode with Padme in it is rather boring?). Koth is a cool Jedi; as far as I know, his fate isn't decided yet, so we could see him a couple of times again before he gets to die (which, eventually, has to be the case). Gallia was in a season 3 trailer, so she'll be back again, but we already know she dies at the hands of Grievous. I'm still waiting for more episodes with Mace Windu, Aayla Secura and Kit Fisto. The only "unknown" Jedi to get a role in many episodes is Plo Koon so far.
  21. Ventress is going back to Dathomir, yes. Looks like a nice opportunity to get Asajj's minifig right, the old one from the RAG isn't good enough. A small 27 dollar set including Ventress would be appreciated by those who don't have her fig - she's one of the main TCW villains after all. Between Opress and Ventress in the set, my money's on Ventress. When did TLG last throw an exciting new minifig into a small set?
  22. Thanks for the excellent review. While the biplane isn't as good as I first thought (the back looks rather stupid), it's still a must-buy for me - the machine guns and the figures alone are worth it. The "obelisk" contains some nice tan parts, too. I rated it Above Average, though it could be made Outstanding with a bit of modding.
  23. The last minifig Falcon was Hoth-based, with the snowtrooper and E-web. They won't just repeat that, though I doubt TLG would make a ROTJ Falcon without Han - then again, the UCS and 2000 Falcons both were AHN-themed. AND they haven't released Lando too often, or the Ten Numb minifig from the 2006 B-Wing. It wouldn't be too hard to give the sustulian head a new torso and call him Nien.
  24. Actually the newest standalone A-Wing had 194 pieces (it included a rebel mechanic and a small, um, "train"), which wouldn't even be bad for a 27 dollar set. Just add another rebel pilot or mechanic and it's a great set. But there isn't a rumor about one, I'm afraid I'm nearly afraid to mention it, but looks like "Jordan" isn't giving us pictures after all
  25. Not necessarily a phase 2 one. The UT-AT was introduced during the Clone Wars about 21 BBY, and it isn't specified yet when exactly the change to phase 2 armor was done. So it might as well be a phase 1 pilot (though, of course, the only movie scene that depicts an UT-AT is at the very end of the war).
