"Has his pickle part in good people" Well I wouldn't have my pickle in bad people ? Rick ..again!
-
I've hung X-wing, Tie fighter and the Falcon from ceiling hooks with cat gut (fishing line) with no trouble at all...make sure you cradle them properly though, if you use only a few strands it can cut into the bricks , but if you do it right it works just fine....

"Mighty Minotaur Mailer Man" By ISC ...I'm guessing I mailed him some Minotaurs? " I want Zombies" or something to that effect, again by ISC because I do..gimme! " Can I have the rotting corpse, with a side salad" by a sneaky mammal who said "I sort of asked for it" "Gives head as a birthday present" the gift that comes once a year..... it could of been just about anyone.....I really did have that one coming.

Happy Birthday Mate! That head I gave you was an early present... that's right you heard it here first, Taz gives head to Izzy!

Thanks again for the positive feedback guys. I've decided to add a final chapter to the story as it ends quite abruptly with them heading to mountain pass keep, a place that has not been explained but soon will. I've almost finished the last build just need to add some last details and shoot it/them.

Guilds of Historica Introduction/General Discussion Thread
Tazmaniac replied to I Scream Clone's topic in Guilds of Historica
You're a dragon man you should join Nocturnus, we have the least members and the best land for creative castle building...over here, over here, pick me! -
As far as size goes I rarely go above 32x32 as it suits my limited collection, it's a plenty big space if you utilise it properly.

Big medieval landscape: BIG UPDATE on page 26
Tazmaniac replied to maydayartist's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
As much as I love the images could you resize them , especially seeing the amount of traffic this thread receives it will help to stop the site getting sluggish. Great work though! -
Wow that's impressive! I will have to ask you to resize the images though as they are too big ( 800x600 max ). You can host on flickr and t it'll resize for you or you can checkout the tutorials in my signature.

Well done Sly! You never cease to amaze me with your builds, your use of colour is second to none and the composition itself is stunning! Truly a MOC expert!

This looks promising but should probably not be guild specific...I'll move it to the main forum. And add this: Bonsai by Taz-Maniac, on Flickr

Hey fellow guild members I'm after your thoughts...concerning my entry, do you think I should remove the parchment background (like in the last pic) ? Also with the extension would you like to see the story continue ? with a possible twist or do you think I should leave it as is? I've rebuilt the first scene but have not yet taken any photos , I'll post it soon. Thanks in advance. -
Thanks for the positive feedback guys ! If I've got time I think I'll rebuild the first scene, as I feel it's the weakest link and brings the whole entry down... I think this is going to be a tough competition and the entries are going to be of a very high level, from the wips I've seen it's going to be very tight. Best of luck to all competitors and remember me when it comes time to vote.

That's a real shame Gabe ,I was saying to my partner just the other day that you were the person to beat and I didn't like my chances after seeing your first build. Looking forward to seeing your builds when you get back, all rested and ready to build...Have a great holiday mate -

I've been wanting to build this for a while (or something big with this technique). Yes there is a grey wall behind it and that's what I've attached the battlements to, by placing tiles on the top row there is no need to get the studs lined up but still sits nice and flush , giving the appearance that they are connected. So stability is not really an issue, the tower on the other hand you might notice is a fair bit tighter than ones built with 1x1 round bricks and 1x2 bricks technique due to the fact the plates are at too great an angle to place the studs along side them. There for they are only connected in a couple of places and the majority of the plates are just resting on the corner of the one diagonally below.....if that makes sense...surprisingly sturdy once complete though. I do plan to refine this technique though, looking at it now I sort of wish I'd added more mottling to it with dark bley and more dark tan....plenty of time for that though. -
Free painted Historica Warrior

I was looking at that very helm the other day (on BrickWarriors site) and thought it looked very Nocturnian, Very nice. I really need to start looking at third party bits n pieces. When I first read your topic I thought "ooh free stuff" . -
