Thanks guys! Scored Jabba's palace from the family, though had to get a replacement piece ordered, Jabba's hand wouldn't clutch and had to do this strange proof of purchase thingy because it's a licensed set, but it's on it's way now and I guess I'll have a cool extra piece for MOCing with.

Yes and it's not much retailers pay a lot for LEGO and from my experience ( I work in a toy store) the mark-up is about 30%, which compared to most products is very low and that's 30% on top of cost that includes GST so there is not a great deal of money in LEGO for retailers. Eg: cost price for 6862 Lex power suit( RRP $39.99) for retailers is about $29 AU then you add 10% GST so it's $32 so the store makes about $7 ...not much really. Remember that the minimum wage in Australia is about $15.51 per hour while in the USA it's only about $7.25 per hour....it's all relative.

Welcome Matt, I too was brought out of my dark age with the release of the CMF, though I had always bought the odd set here and there over the years. If you are looking to acquire the complete 7 series I would strongly suggest starting with series 1, as this one is getting expensive, about $150AU on Bricklink. If you didn't know about Bricklink before now then welcome to the darkside, affectionately referred to as cracklink for obvious reasons. MOCing is indeed the correct term and it's a great road to go down. The community here is great for feedback and help on achieving your building goals remember the more you build the better you get.

No we're not allowed to shamelessly plug a third party company for our own gain but it is customary to give credit to those who have designed and printed custom pieces. Much like some one who uses Brickarms in a creation and gives a shout out. If I had not added that one little line members would assume I made the heads which would not be fair to BrickThing who did a great job designing these out of the goodness of his heart and at no personal gain and to Brick ink who did an exceptional job printing the heads. credit where credit's due, wouldn't you say? I'm glad we sorted that out...now what do you think of my Inn?
