  1. Is that the pot calling the kettle black? Now onto the build I think it's great maybe not quite D2C but it looks like a LEGO set. If you loose the razzle dazzle and expand a little on the temple ( maybe a small hinged structure) you'll have a top entry. I really like the "steampunkish" bi-plane and the giant stag beetle
  2. Awesome entry Gabe! I was waiting for one of these and you did it so well. Love the whole feel of the buid, you crammed in the details without going over the top . Knowing your collection size I know how hard it can be to do something this big with out compromising colour/shape well done again looks like a few of your deeplinks are not deeplinked. Good luck mate. (ps those figs should arrive at yours this week )

    HMS Ares

WOW that looks great!! Are the sails far away? Yet another top ship to add to the CP fleet
  4. That looks great very dark and the play feature fits the theme very well is there any interior ? Good luck.
  5. MegaBlocks did it Just like "the Simpsons did it" But AFOL do it better!!
  6. Great to see others on the Asterix bandwagon, He is well love here in Australia as well as Europe and I'm sure the world over.... an ageless classic!! "those Romans are crazy"
  7. Great SNOT floor amongst other great details lamp, clock, truck, I could go on but you get the point. Any reason you left the roof off? I'm glad I wont be the only smooth entry Good luck
  8. Is this comp open to new member? I've asked about photo shopping already but it seems a few entries have added the LEGO logo and theme header to their entries is this ok as I had planned to do this but was under the impression it was not allowed. The rules don't cover either of these topics so one would assume that it's ok. sorry to bring this up again Bonaparte but I feel it needs clarification. Cheers mate.
  9. My collection is tiny at about 18,000 elements. So many elements I don't have but I think other than restricting the size of my MOCs having a smallish collection is great for breeding creativity. But I want so much more. (Oh my goodness look at the creativity breeding in the corner)
  10. looks good, though a little bare around the house and the walls could use some more details as they look a little plain, but in all a solid build:thumbup:
  11. I guess it would come across that way, sorry. If you loose the red bricks below your sloped bricks and replace them with plate you hight shouldn't change too much.By using plates you can utilise the jumper technique to give the mid sections some more width.....just an idea.
  12. "No sir I didn't see you playing with you dolls again" Awsome custom!! love it to bits. and " I see your shwarts is as big as mine"
  13. To get that curve you just need to use plates to slowly drop and raise the hight of the red, black and brown lines. If you plate up the sides of the hull sections (in brown) then the parts you have already used just go back on top but have a slight curve ..... does that make sense? Look at how CGH does it in his "build a frigate" thread, it can be seen on my brig (if you click that pic up there you get the whole stream with a few more pics). Good luck and have fun!!
  14. I hear where you are coming from "White Nun" but this is a LEGO forum and not a current events forum. If we were all to stop posting out of respect for those suffering hardship the forum would not exist, Yes there have been some dreadful disasters around the world and it's very sad, but I'm not sure this is the place to discuss it. I hope you understand what I'm saying and don't take it the wrong way. It's sort of like saying "what are you doing playing with LEGO when the world is in such a state?" I feel I'm ranting now so I'll stop. Peace.
  15. Not the best pic but you can see the stern is a little higher to accomidate the cabin...... I'm not 100% sure they had them but then where does the captain sleep other wise? The curve I'm refering to is from the stern to bow not the water line to deck. Here's my brig feel free to steal anything from it, though it's far from perfect and in need of an update.
  16. Did you forget to post a pic? PM'ed for guide
  17. Granted LEGO didn't invent collectible Figures but still it seem a little advantageous of MB to copy the marketing format so closely, I mean a silhouetted figure with a ? on it, really? MB couldn't mix it up a bit and at least look original? I think they look fugly anyway . I wonder how many people buy these by the box?
  18. A good start! looks like you need some yard arms, access to the gun deck, a captains cabin, and a ladder on the side (close to the middle). could also add a capstan and catheads. But these are not things you'll find on an official LEGO set so it depends on what you want on it. Maybe work on the line as it looks very flat and your stern and bow should not be wider that the mid-sections IMO. Looking forward to see this come to life in bricks
  19. Yes they do, big time when they are older rare colours. Great Mod by the way
  20. Very nice! I hope your working on something for the D2C comp as it's right up your ally! One question though, what's going on with the base plate? is there a trans base under the grey plates? I would not have noticed but that lump in the middle sort off sticks out.
  21. Because it's awsesome! And yes I do like what you have done That spartan head fits every theme.
  22. Love it, oh so much goodness. the machines in the warehouse are great. every thing compliments each other so well! Go the VW!!
  23. I think every thing your looking for is here. Welcome to Eurobricks. Don't forget to use the search bar Oh snap sniped on the reply..... great minds and all that jazz.
  24. This was a pleasant suprise! I half expected another Minifig scale mod on the cloud city set, or worse, but this is tops As others have said the chatacters are very true to the originals and it's great to see Vader tower over little Luke!
  25. Off topic fun fact, those muppets pictured above did all the voices in Banana Man.
