LEGO Monkie Kid 2020

Could still be lego's version of the character. They don't really use the traditional names anyway. Plus the character is otherwise notably absent. Oh no -

I'm interested to see if the burrow indeed opens up, but that's hard to believe. Either way that means we're getting 3 christmas themed sets this year (AT, burrow and Advent Calendar), make that 4 if GWP Hogsmeade is also christmas themed. I'm not complaining tough xD. This had me dead Couldn't stop laughing. Is it the one from the cmf though? It's kinda hard for me to make it out, but it looks like Luna us wearing her pink series 1 outfit + a lion head rather than the one from series 2. I wouldn't look too much into it. -

The sets are okay. But I'm only really interested in the sea Base. Kinda afraid for the price though. I assume the girl is a gender bend Tang Sanzang as she is riding the horse or the dragon prince (dragon horse) himself in his human form, Princess now I guess. I had a feeling they might do something like that. Kinda like it. But most sets are an easy skip. -

Clearer images of the books have been posted on Instagram. The cover of the pop up box says there's also a diagon alley pop up, I guess it's on the back. Plus it definitely says there's a qr code for a demo video, really wanna know where that's all about. -

Actually, for those interested, that Hermione book is already out here in the Netherlands. -

Not sure how to feel about this. Any new figure is very welcome, but for me it's a pain ordering from Lego, I've had terrible experience with it in the past. I would be really happy if Olivander in the D2C is the exact same as in the gwp as it would give some hope for getting the new gwp figure in the future. I agree 100% with @GoldenNinja3000 that there should be nanofigures in these gwp. Oh well. -

I hadn't even thought of that. Almost a nice little throwback. I love it even more now. Actually I think they might actually be a little bit oversized. I think on one of the pictures you can see Draco stand next to the printed figures, showing they're to scale (1:1). Looking at hagrid that means it's gonna be bigger or about the same size as the tower in the Great Hall. -

So any ideas where the demo video could be about? It would be cool if Lego also started making Lego Harry Potter videos like they did with Star Wars, Jurassic World, Marvel and DC. -

Okay didn't expect this to be our news today. I surprise to be sure but a welcome one. So we get 3 new activity books on top of the one with voldemort. This time with Richard Harris Dumbledore, Snape and Sirius. Not really interested in those, but they're an easy nice way to get them for anyone who still misses them. Then there is the friendship journal, didn't even know those where still a thing. The last thing is probably the best thing. A box with: 1. "A book with activities based on scenes from Harry Potter tm ..... with cinematic style illustrations that encourage creative play." 2. "A book with activities filled with LEGO humour" 3. "A double-sided deluxe 30 scene ..... readers can use with LEGO playsets and minifigures" 4. "2 LEGO minifigures with accessoires" 5. "QR code linked to a demo video" I love that we're finally getting a new way to get the Slytherin torso. The pop up thingy looks very interesting. Definitely picking it up. I wonder what the demo video is all about (if I read that correctly). They are really going all out with this theme. I've only seen this amount of stuff with lego Star Wars before, with Jurassic world being a close second but that's about it. I just hope the box is reasonably priced. -

I agree, I love the original but it could be a bit more screen accurate. For the inside I also want 2 more bedrooms, so that every weasley (living at home in hbp) has a place to sleep, or at least 1 more. I think they might be able to pull it off, put it's probably unrealistic to hope for. -

I don't have any problems with stickers for sets after 2008, but the ones before that are starting to crumble somehow. -

These stickers are amazing. This has got to be the first time I'm excited for stickers xD. Now let's do some analysing: The letters through the door shows is the set takes (some) inspiration from PS. Also I love how they've stickers for both sides of the door (although the back is completely brown) The Dursley painting is adorable, you would almost think they're a nice little family. We might be able to see which hair they use for the characters (although the colour on is probably wrong on some of them). Dudley looks like he has the Emmet Hair, Petunia the Umbridge hair and Vernon the Ben Kenobi hair (although I'm pretty sure that won't be used on him). The James and Lilly picture is really sweet, at least their presence in the theme is known in sticker form. The tiny little Dumbledore Chocolate Frog card on his wall with wizarding world posters is also a very nice addition. Makes me wish we actually got it. The grill is a nice addition to the cupboard, the toys are prettiest cute with them being nano figures, I need a nano horse now xD. I assume this goes in the cupboard? Privet Drive sign and number 4 are nice additions. The car stickers make me curious about the design. Overall great stickers. Makes me curious about the Weasley home, if the Dursleys get this amount of detail just think about what they could do for the Weasley family. -

The polybag is a nice little way of getting Hedwig, so if I'm somehow abe to find it I will pick it up, but it's so boring for anyone who got the calendar as it's basically the exact same stuff you get in there. But didn't really expect anything special for the polybags nor do I really want that as they are way to hard to find. -

Yeah might be just Europe, at least the Netherlands, brickshop is ussually very accurate with this kind of stuff. Yeah the movies are meh thus far, but I still picked up the sets. I looked at it like this, the series is still ongoing and if all of the sudden the movies start getting good I would've missed out on the sets. There are way too many franchises I got into too late so that I missed out on too many sets (potc, why didn't I like you sooner! D:). -

I hope I didn't jinx it Nah, ares and ant-man both had brickbuild headwear so I think it's save to assume Grawp will have brickbuild hair. Besides if the creatures showed us anything it's that Lego is going over on brickbuild stuff rather than big molded pieces. -

That's fair, it's still the best theme out there atm. And we got extremely lucky with the figures in the past so I can't really complain too much. Besides, the good quality figures this year still outnumber the bad ones. And we haven't even seen half of them yet. -

I think that white female figure is Avalokiteśvara, or at least an original character based on her/taking her role. Not sure about the power ranger girl, is she confirmed to be from this theme? Looks more like Ninjago to me. Either way I'm pretty disappointed again with the new figures, they're absolutely not what I expected from this theme, just another Ninjago, which I haven't had any interest in since the first wave of sets and the movie. -
Pre-order - why some themes and not others?
Huigberts Builds replied to Lucarex's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think it's mostly so Lego could make a guess of how well a theme or set will do and how much they'll need to produce of it. I think it's a fairly new concept with toys, as I see it happen more and more often the last few years. In the past (if I'm not mistaken) they let the retailers pick how much of new set they wanted after they've been shown at toy fairs or from a catalogue, so that the retailers could hand pick how many they wanted from each item, based on how much they thought they would sell (smaller stores usually picked more of the small sets, as they were saver to sell, while bigger stores could afford to pick more of the big ones). And after that Lego could make I better guess of how many to produce in total. Now with the age of online shopping, the retailer as middle man is starting to fade, so it only makes sense for Lego to bring the choice directly to the consumer. Of course lego is a huge company with years of experience so with most sets they largely know what will sell and what won't, so pre orders won't be necessary. But with some that have an incredibly high demand, higher than average, it would give a clearer image of what to expect if just let the consumer pre order them in advance. The Mario and Mandalorian sets in this case. -
Marvel Superheroes 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
Huigberts Builds replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
It's not? I assumed so because of the new Loki wearing his mcu armor (or at least something really similar). Interesting. Still I hope the Iron Man in the 4+ one will at least be different. These pictures can't come soon enough -
Yeah it's pretty much a struggle to get a decent amount of Slytherin and Hufflepuff torsos as they only came in that one set on 1 figure. I hope we get a few more of them in future sets. Still I think the old one still works fairly well, especially for Tom as his uniform is supposed to be a different, older model anyway. Either way I love the figures you've shown on this page. McLaggen works really well with the Anakin face. I also like your choices for Barty Crouch Junior. I still like the cmf one a lot, but I gotta say the face and hair you used work really well.

My guess is that we'll get the same figure in the helicarrier and the big tower. Just rescue in the Hulkbuster (or has it been confirmed we'll get both)? And a new Iron Man in the 4+ tower (although possibly without leg printing) as I assume that one is based on the mcu. -

I really don't know. They should be, as they will release in less than 2 months. But by then we might have seen all the figures already as it seems we are getting a new leak every day now. Either way I think it's save to assume we will have seen a lot of new stuff by the end of the week. -

The astronomy tower has pretty disappointing figures overall. Only new torso prints with everything else reused, except for luna's legs which still feel odd in my opinion. This years budget definitely went to the other sets looking at Umbridge and the centaur. I guess it's because we are receiving so many figures at once that a few cuts had been made, oh well, can't have everything. I hope the AT build will at least stand out. -

Wow, I really don't like these two. Ron keeps getting the short end of the stick, he really deserves a new hair piece like Harry and Hermione got at this point. And now his arms, I guess we'll just have to wait for the day it comes duel molded in the right colour. For Lavender, man I hate this figure. The torso looks fine but that's all I have to say about her. Still I wished they went for the one with yellow sleeves. Either way the face choice is terrible, probably the worst choice I've ever seen. Luckily there are a few pieces that could work. First there are Alice and Ariel, but the lips are too red for my taste. Queenie works really well, I prefer the cmf one as her eyes are open. But my personal favourite choice is Dorothy. The hair is probably the worst part, I'm sure she will get a bow otherwise what's the use, so that would be a little bit better, but it's still way too flat. The legs are also not really what I hoped for (even assuming she has a cloth skirt). She needs a different shade of purple, I think a slightly lighter shade would've been better but the available colours are pretty limited. Actually I think the original purple that's used on the yellow dumbledore would've been perfect, but that's a discontinued colour I believe. Did they ever make the piece without printing? I just hope she's in the cmf series with a new hair piece and the yellow arms, kinda a wasted spot, but it's the only way to get a good looking variant. -

I'm really happy B&B is included. Wouldn't have wanted it any other way. I see all the shopping streets as one and the same. And it would've been unlikely to get it in its own separate set. Plus it makes perfect sense with its connection to the Burrow and the room of requirements (or at least if that one comes with the cabinet, could come in AT as well or no where at all, but you get the point). I guess this is the first building that's now "confirmed". Can't wait to hear what the others are.
