Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
Huigberts Builds replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I love the Luna figure, but the legs are very odd. She looks like she's put on some flared Disco dress or jumpsuit and is about to dance in a 70s disco on some ABBA music or something xD. -

There will indeed be a $400,- Diagon Alley D2C. You're forgetting about the Ron in Privet Drive. Although that's of course not year 5/6. -

Glad to hear Ron is included in the Burrow despite what some people expected. I was afraid Ron would get sidelined this year. -

Yeah, I guess that's my life now xD That actually works really well. I just wish the piece had some printing like the Filch piece. I remember in 2018 someone said Slughorn looked more like the one from the flashbacks, which is kinda true. Especially with the unprinted hair in the AT. -

He looks even better than I thought from the first images. Now that I've seen clearer pictures I'm even more excited. There's only so much they can do with the flip up helmet piece. Eventually they will all look too similar. This is a breath of fresh air for the character which will look nicely next to the previous Iron-Man and will stand out for those with an war machine armory. -

At last, I'm glad there is a new helmet. Wanted this mold on him for a very long time. Looks like Lego marvel is finally stepping up its game based on all the leaks we had so far. Sounds better than any mcu wave we got. -

I guess, but it could very well be a sticker this time. We already get quite a lot of prints for $30,- set. -

Yeah most definitely Vernon. I just hope he gets a new face print. Yeah that's definitely the only chance at seeing him. If he was build like steppenwolf or groot there might have been a chance of seeing the new piece, but the leakers have said he's more like ant-man. -

Yeah she was mentioned, but it hasn't been directly said she was in the burrow, could be cmf as well. It's just a theory for now as she fits the scene. -

Woohoo, finally some leaks. Hermione looks fine, nothing much to say about her. Harry looks good as well, I'm mostly happy that back in the day I picked the book with yule ball Harry over slug club Harry as it's pretty much an exact remake (it was also a great book, I hope we'll see a remake in 2022 when most sets have been made). Umbridge looks ones again fantastic. Didn't expect so much detail in a set. Especially a set that isn't even the biggest of the wave, more like the second smallest. I'm glad I got the bricktober pack though as I prefer the face print, but this one is still amazing. Still wished they used the old hair though. Slughorn is pretty disappointing, the torso looks great, not gonna lie, but the hair is a step down from the bricktober pack (and that one was already a disappointment) and the reused faceprint is also a shame. I just wanted a new 1 sided face print so the graduation cap wouldn't look odd on it. The legs are also meh. But I guess that just shows how good all the other figures in the theme are as Slughorn is pretty much what you would expect from any other theme. Come to think of it, if the AT truly is based on the slug club Christmas party, does that mean we get waiter Neville? That would be amazing xD. -

Interesting to read about everyone's dark ages. It's kinda funny to me how many of them started for you around the time my dark ages ended (right after the Harry Potter waves, about when lotr started or overlapped into hobbit.) Thing was I was really into Lego as a child, but I went started collecting hasbro star wars figures. I got back into Lego when the hasbro figures started losing quality, especially losing articulation, + a huge price increase, so a rather spend my money on something else. More specifically Jabba's Palace as he was also prominently featured ib my hasbro collection. Problem was I just lost out on Harry Potter, which was one of my favourite childhood sets. Was only able to get freeing Dobby, which was a remake of one of the old sets I owned. So I'm really looking forward to the rumored Lucious somewhere in the wave as he's pretty nostalgic t me in minifigure form. That's actually very interesting. I never thought of it before but I only ever got 1 yellow coloured Hermione, that being the one from the forbidden corridor. My next one was the one from poa Hagrid's Hut, because Hagrid was my favourite character and I missed out on the other sets with him. I thought the box was discoloured by sunlight so you could imagine I was quite shocked when the figures had flesh coloured faces all of the sudden. Come to think of it, female characters where pretty rare to get altogether. Only Belville had many, so... Still got some sets though xD. Anyway I remember my grandparents going to flea markets or collectors fairs in the weekend, sometimes buying loose female figures so I had some to add to my collection. It's listed for June on a Dutch shop's site -

I'm still not certain which set I'm most hyped for. But privet drive is definitely up tHare in my top most wanted sets. I just love odd side characters like the Dursley's. I just wanna know what variant they'll use for Dudley and of course his mOtter and father. But tbh this is probably my most wanted wave ever, even beating the 2018 one. All solid choices of locations we've never gotten before or remakes of outdated or hard to get sets. Plus tons of new creatures. I think we'll get a new one in almost every set. The owl in privet drive (supposedly), Hare and Otter in RoR. Centaurs and Hagrid's brOtter Grawp the giant in the forbidden forest. For nOwl I'm really curious if the second wave this year also has a few surprises left. -

Thing is there's not really a set they could include them in. I can only think of like a few scenes they could take inspiration from, 1 of which is just their images in a mirror so not really figures, which is exactly what we got. Second one is the scene in which they die, which is an obvious no go, and lastly the scenes where we see their spirit or something which is just kinda odd. Oh and I guess the Snape flashbacks from them as childs which really wouldn't make for an exciting set. The only way I can see them being made in the cmf series, but not before the main characters are being made. So like a series 3 or something. -

I always assumed it would be like go brick me, the bride and the groom brickheadz. With pieces for all houses to make your own student. But that's just wishful thinking. -

You mean kinda like how we got Saruman with unprinted legs in that small set and with a printed slope piece in the tower set all the way back for lotr? I can see that happen. Well Tonks was basically already confirmed + she isn't that important to the movies for a hint that sounds like that. 100% agree. Anything bigger would just look out of place. And we must keep in mind kingnono said mostly 23cm. So one could even be taller and one could be somewhat smaller. Looking back at last year we hope for something within the next two weeks. But it could easily be different this year. -

Half blood prince without the half blood prince? I don't think so. Or at least that's the most logical option to me. Gotta be in the astronomy tower if that's the case. Yeah pretty much, all those figures on the package were leaked in a single picture. If the same figures were leaked individually over a longer time period I think people would've considered it as many leaks xD. Pretty much the biggest cmf leak ever, at least so far I could think of (not counting lists). + we've got a leaked figure out of every set (although the d2c Harry was kinda bland xD) -

Oh but I do agree, that's exactly what I mean with interior, anything more would be very unrealistic. But even a tiny interior like the winter vilage would be expensive. And I mean just look at the toyshop, it was $60,- with it's original release but itss remake was already hitting $80,-. And that was 5 years ago. The gingerbread house is what I expect for a WWW or Leaky Cauldron. Which barely has any outside accessories, but let's say it's about $25,- less without it (which is really pushing it) that's still $75,-. So let's say that makes the final price 375 if they did it like did, those 25 which with we are left really ain't gonna pull out a 6th building. Plus HP is licensed, which might also play a factor in the price. So whichever way I look at it, I keep coming back to 5 builds top with tiny interiors. But I really hope I'm wrong about this, just don't wanna get my hopes up. I just think 5 builds is the most realistic thing to ask for, anything more would be great, but I'm not counting on it. I agree, only thing that makes me wonder if there might be another set in the form of the MoM are 3 kingnono posts. That being "he's back" hinting at fudge (who sure could appear on diagon alley, but the quote wouldn't really make sense). "Underground" which most literal meaning in the movies has mostly been linked to the MoM entrances. And lastly "set number confusion because of store exclusivity" of which I can only think of the confusion about 75978 as I can't think of confusion about any other set numbers. Besides we still haven't heard what the shop exclusive set is, none of the confirmed sets have claimed it so far (unless I'm missing something). Of course this doesn't have to mean MoM at all, but I'm at least a little bit more open about the possibility now. But the other guy has most definitely nothing to do with that (even more so as his minifigure selection contradicts the iconic underground scene comment in all the possible outcomes, as it's missing some key characters for all those scenes.) -

Yeah that's probably even a more iconic place for him to be than in the vaults. I could definitely see Lego do this. And we've seen already (thanks to some great setups of people here) that the horntail fitted pretty nicely on the marble staircase tower so I think an ironbelly of about the same size should also fit on Gringotts. -
Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
Huigberts Builds replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well that greatly depends on the buildings included. If a Leaky Cauldron is included I expect two floors + the wall which all together would be close to the size of Gringotts. Also with the 4 buildings I counted Gringotts and the vault as 1, so I could see about 5 builds. Of course Gringotts is gonna be bigger than an Ollivander's, but keep in mind the old DA was $150,- with 3 buildings, so roughly speaking about 50,- a building (considering Gringotts was really sized down). Now it's basically a given that these buildings would be way more detailed than last time, increasing the piece count. And assuming Gringott's scale would be more accurate next to the other buildings this time around, adding another floor, thus increasing the size with about 50%. Taking all of that into consideration, you'll get to $400 pretty quickly. I can see gringotts + vault already taking up about $150,- of the price. $75 for Ollivander's and another $75 for B&B (or whichever store it ends up being, probably WWW, but I took B&B as comparison with the last one) and about $100,- for the leaky cauldron. And that's already $400,-. Although it all greatly depends on how they're going to do the vaults. If they're just going to do a small throwaway build, it obviously doesn't count as the 5th build and then I could see a 5th building being added to the mix. Ofcourse this would all mean the stores aren't gonna be to scale with Hogwarts, but they were never going to be, it's system, it's never going to be to scale. Especially not if they want to include interiors, which definitely will be included. And I really don't see them doing a few facades in between those buildings as that would be very inconsistent. -

Huigberts Builds replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yeah, and I also think that, would they put some great minifigures in a microscale set, minifigure collectors would be all but happy. I don't think the set will be elevated though, as the pins hint at it being able to be reordered, making an underground section very hard to do. I see them just having a separate section with some roller coaster tracks, a few rocks and a vault, being able to connect to the bank itself from the side. Maybe it wouldn't look the greatest, but it would have some great play value for sure. Can even see the rails go around a place for the ironbelly. Although all of that would definitely take up a lot of the pieces, basically a second building worth of it. So I could see about 4 buildings max (counting Gringotts and the vaults as one). About $75,- a section would sound about right. Ofcourse this is all just speculation. -

Well kingnono said before there might have been some confusion about the numbers because of store exclusivity so I guess it's still possible. I just think it's interesting how he specifically says 75978 instead of Diagon Alley.
