Wizarding World 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
Huigberts Builds replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Hmmm, mixed feelings. I didn't really expect it to be Gringotts considering about a year ago LEGO said they were aware about fans wanting an expansion to the DA D2C, Gringotts in particular, but that they didn't have any current plans for it. And since that's about when this year's D2C should have been "in development" so to speak, I figured there was no way we would see Gringotts this year. Although I'm afraid way too wishful thinking got the better of me anyway. That being said, I kinda hope this set is something like a "Journey to Hogwarts" set. But it needs to include at least some things for me to be interested. (Spoiler tags so it won't clutter the topic) -

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they were designing the figures based in the Warner Bros style guide. It's very consistent with the stuff that was coming out during those days. Especially Dumbledore and the portrait of the fat lady were very accurate. But also things like Snape's skintone, Ron's hair and face. -

I was thinking, what if the Voldemort is in the Advent Calendar but in his suit from the dream in ootp. Sure he didn't exactly make the face wearing the suit, but it looks a lot more festive than his regular outfit, plus it would work well with an ootp themed calendar. In case it's part of a d2c after all, the only place I can think of that could both include Voldemort while also being big enough for a d2c is Malfoy Manor. But for that price? Idk. Maybe an accessory pack makes the most sense. -

I absolutely love these sets. Is that Walburga Black's painting behind Fred and George? The new brooms are interesting, makes me wonder about the D2C set. Maybe it's quidditch related after all? I'll have to try to get a couple more of these, it's great how we can mix and match them to make a bunch of different brooms. Anyone know in what colours the handle already exists? Are those the old briefcases? Didn't know LEGO still used those. The figures are outstanding, and so many of them in each set, it's great. Especially Madam Pince and Tonks stand out. I wonder what's in the second library book, I'm kinda hoping for a Flamel reference. This will definitely be the first brick-built animal I'll buy after skipping Hedwig and Fawkes, huge improvement on the previous Horntail and a worthy successor of the original one. But the Harry that's included is definitely the best part of the set, easily the best Harry we've ever gotten detail wise. Really the only complaint I have with these sets is crookshanks, but it's a new print so it's really not too bad. -

Oooh, that works pretty well for a purist Grubbly-Plank. I think it's extremely close to what lego would realistically do themselves. Even the leather jacket from Amelia Earhart looks very solid on her. -

I think it counts, sure it doesn't have a motor or engine or anything, but that's not really a requirement. Plus, would we get the durmstrang ship that would be the same scenario. So don't know why it shouldn't count, a vehicle is a vehicle. Technically we did get the Gringotts minecart in the advent calendar last year, so that's something I suppose. -

I feel like if we ever would get Grubbly-Plank she would work great with the Wizard of Oz scarecrow hat. -

Well there's also the Carrows. (Edit, looks like Seaber beat me to it xD) Yeah it would make sense to "team up" a Dueling Lockhart and Snape. -

I think that Rumor was fake, didn't really see any credible sources talk about it, just some new accounts on Instagram. I just hope they can come up with a play feature to make it appear between two other "buildings" or facades more likely. I'm not sure Grimmauld place on it's own would really look too interesting for kids to buy. -

Didn't the Tonks hairpiece leak some time ago? Or was that another fake leak? Either she doesn't really fit in any of the other sets so Grimmauld Place seems most likely to me. -

Well yeah but that's the thing, the game is by Portkey Games, Avalanche, Wizarding World and Warner Bros games. So Warner Bros is still involved. -

Hogwarts Legacy looks absolutely insane. This has game of the year potential. Although I feel like a lot of people are sleeping on the gameplay reveal. I barely see anyone talk about it and the video doesn't have too many views yet compared to how well reveals like this usually do. Do you guys think lego would consider making sets on this? There has already been a lot of great book exclusive stuff shown in it. Common rooms, professor binns, Peeves. Would be great, although considering jedi fallen order and all it feels unlikely, even though we'll get the buildable bd1. -

I absolutely love the new set! Finally we got the beans! And the new trunk is so useful. I bet they'll reuse it for minecraft. Oh and ofcourse the trolls skirt pieces I'm black, very useful. I really love all the new faces. Although I hope we get some new light nougat prints as well, as they mostly seem to reuse them so far from named characters only. I mean there's dudley/draco, the ginny/luna one from last year now reused for hermione, and Harry. Really want one with glasses that isn't Harry. I also really like the hair choices, especially the Violet hair. Wonder what colour the hairband is. I think I might pick up multiple of these, just to get some more torsos, which I'm really happy with, really don't mind the colour change, and to make more common rooms. I mean I have gryffindor and Ravenclaw, now it's time for Hufflepuff and Slytherin! Can't wait to buy this thing. -

Sorry if this has already been answered, but where's the golden Dumbledore design from? It looks different from the Dumbledore's we've gotten so far, or am I forgetting one? All the other golden figures are based on normal figures right? So why not this one? On a sidenote, happy to be able to skip a set this year, not gonna need my wallet anymore for storage after this amazing year of sets in (almost) all themes. -
I searched but couldn't find a topic for this set so I made one. It appears that Newman's face just leaked on the usual place. Of course it could also be used for Dennis in Jurassic Park, but looking at the timing it's probably for Seinfeld. Of course, as others have discussed in different topics, there's also the blue hair from the "Everyone is awesome" set, which I think might be a good fit for Kramer if used in a different colour (if not for Stranger Things' Steve). Any thoughts?

Are we sure that's her? It looks more like a random guy with a red cap to me -

If the games are anything to go off, Fred and George are indeed the ones to go to to get your Wizard Cards. -

Oh I really like these sets. Snape has a new torso print, still purple sadly. Seamus is definitely the best thing in that set. Kinda set I see no blackboard in the greenhouse, I hope it's still there. I don't mind the new Sweaters. It gives us some variety between the students. But now we're missing Hufflepuff again xD. Still I will definitely get all of them. -
Damn that looks really good. I love it, great job. Either way, so I guess the modular buildings are now all on Sesame Street? :p XD

Tbh wasn't it already long rumored that fb3 was going to be delayed until 2022? I mean there was the entire thing with Ezra Miller wanting to do The Flash first and then there was the pandemic. I highly doubt fb3 was part of that leaked list. Sure they might've started designing some stuff already but that's probably all. That being said I'm really happy with the cheap ways to get Lucius and Quidditch Cedric. Also a bit late but the new Flitwick's use of the dwarf beard is exactly what I hoped for. Just need a piece that I can use for the hat. I think if we ever get the "fez" piece in some new colours that might do the trick. -
These pictures are amazing. I love this set. I'm also so curious where the pinhole connections are for. Can't wait to get my hands on it.

Boy, am I glad I waited with purchasing Diagon Alley. At least this set has an exclusive sticker sheet. My patience payed off for once. That being said, it's not too desirable. But it's a funny display piece either way. Now for the price list. I fear this is going to be the first year I will miss out on stuff. Just can't keep up with all the themes anymore
