  1. If anything I hope they'll give us at least the characters that appeared in lego dimensions. So (Super) Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, Amy, Shadow and Eggman. There were also Metal Sonic, Chaos, Omochao and Big, but those might have a smaller chance. Rouge and Cream (plus Cheese) would be nice as well, especially to get a few more female characters, and since Rouge has a bigger role in Sonic Prime. but I think that's about the limit of characters that realistically could appear, and that's already if we're lucky.
  2. Neither do I, but I have no idea why else we haven't seen them in almost 2 years
  3. I'm really curious what they'll do with Eggman. Really hope we'll get an actual new mold this time around. Especially since we haven't seen a bigfig since that movable head Thanos in like May 2021. And all the figures that were bigfigs before have since only appeared as regular figures (Sandy, Thanos, Hulk). But that also makes me worry lego is completely done with bigfigs.
  4. Yeah they definitely made some questionable decisions lately. Hopefully the game will put the franchise back on track. Now those are ideas I can get behind. It just wouldn't feel right to reboot it. Robbie Coltrane's quote comes to mind, "You could be watching it in 50 years time, easy. I'll not be here, sadly, but Hagrid will." Which makes it sad that so soon after him passing away these rumors began. If we watch it in 50 years time he better not be replaced. Some franchise just shouldn't be rebooted, not in the same medium at least.
  5. Another vehicle D2C? Sigh. They give us Microscale Hogwarts, we want a follow up Castle Extension we get a minifigure/system scale Diagon Alley, we want a follow up Gringotts we get Icons, we want a follow up Dobby's Sock ;p we get The Hogwarts Express, which is fine on its own, don't really need another vehicle follow up and what might we get? Another vehicle. XD. They're just teasing us at this point. But all joking aside, if it really is the Knight Bus it wouldn't surprise me if this was the one set we will get aunt Marge in. Maybe we even get Tom the Innkeeper as he took Harry of the Bus. Definitely one of the requirements for me to actually buy this set. Although it would be nice if it were a regular size knight bus put next to the Leaky Cauldron. But I won't put my Money on it. Still, I really hope we'll get Gringotts soon, with all the rumors about WB wanting to reboot the franchise I'm starting to get worried what that will mean for this theme. Really want them to give us Gringotts before that.
  6. I mean the logo could technically be in the blacked out part like with Disney series 2, although what I think is more suspicious is how there's the sombrero hole, which hasn't been used since like series 19, rather than the more rectangular one that has been used since. Oh speaking of series 2, on second thought, I can now see that it's an edited images of the Series 2 bag, the Mickey heads under the sombrero hole have been edited out, but there are odd shapes behind the silhouettes, that now that I take a closer look at it appear to be the series 2 figures as they appeared on the bag, specifically the part with Anna and Elsa are visible. The only thing that might be somewhat useful, if even true, is the description and price, which indicates there are again, as suspected, 12 figures. The description is very odd though, as part of it translates to "...with one or more accessoires for even more action, among of which a few never before seen accessoires for certain characters, ..." Which is an odd thing to put the attention on. They almost make it sound like the characters aren't new, but only some of their accessoires are. I might be reading into it too much though.
  7. I was thinking the same thing, especially since the previous Aragog was pretty simplistic. And I believe it was one of, if not the first set from the 2018 wave that retired, so definitely one that deserves an update.
  8. I was thinking of Pete's garage in Toontown, which also has a pin with wrench, but on second thought, I believe that's been gone for a while now. So yeah, that's a pretty good possibility as well, although I always imagined Oswald would get his remote control if we ever got him. Also, on a sidenote, I wonder what's up with the genie lamp, as we've pretty much gotten all the main characters by now. The only one I can imagine coming with the lamp would be prince Ali or some other variant, still kind of odd if they go with Aladin again when there are so many popular movies left without any representation. But same with Donald again, if they indeed do the 100th anniversary variants for Mickey and Friends, like Robert8 speculated some time ago, that would be a lot of slots wasted on variants.
  9. Honestly the only one I can think of is Pete, who is sometimes portrayed as some kind of mechanic. One of his stock images even has a wrench. But it might be a little bit farfetched. The bone could also be connected to the Dalmatians, and with that Cruella.
  10. Welcome to the Disney Properties 2023 discussion thread! This thread is dedicated to all LEGO related Disney and Pixar's in-house films (i.e. not the many other licensed Disney owns). That includes Disney Animation and Pixar films, Disney Princess products, and the like. Enjoy! ________________________________________ Rumoured products for 2023: Disney Classic Animation 43212 Disney Birthday Train | $34.99 | 200 pieces | 4+ (April 1st release) 43215 | $149.99 | 1016 pieces | 7+ (June release) 43217 | Up: Carl's House | 598 pieces | $59.99 (April 1st release) 43220 Peter Pan & Wendy Fairy Tale Book | $19.99 | 111 pieces (March 1st release) 43221 | $59.99 | 1022 pieces | 6+ (June release) Disney 100 years CMF Oswald the rabbit Pinocchio Jiminy Cricket Sorcerer Mickey Princess Tiana Dr Facilier Queen of Hearts Princess Aurora Mulan Ernesto de la Cruz Miguel Pocahontas Cruella de Vil Robin Hood Prince John Stitch Baymax Evil Queen (Snow White) ________________________________________ There's an image on instagram from what I assume is the catalogue, where they're teasing the 100th anniversary. It has a lot of accessoires in a silverish colour.
  11. Maybe, but it's 18+ rather than 16+ like the other diagon alley buildings. Not sure if that means anything, but it could indicate that it might be something completely different. You would think a Gringotts would be a similar building experience as the rest of diagon alley.
  12. According to Instagram (not sure how reliable) 76418 advent calendar - 227 pieces 76419 D2C - 2660 pieces 76421 - 403 pieces
  13. Gringotts (Vaults, Mine Carts, Dragon), Borgins and Burkes, Leaky Cauldron, Inferi Cave, Hog's Head Inn, Shell Cotage, Hogsmeade Station, Wedding Marquee, Boathouse, Lovegood House, Malfoy Manor, Little Whining Play Park, Durmstrang Ship, Hagrids/Sirius Motorbike, Godric's Hollow. Still plenty of places that could turn into sets so hopefully this theme stays around for a long time.
  14. Is it just me or did they remove the 360° video from the site?
  15. I guess, but I imagined they would do something like in 4702 when i first saw the pictures. Oh well, they probably had a reason why they didn't went that route.
  16. Oh no, I had only seen the Instagram pictures. But now that I've seen the 360° video on the lego website it completely changed my view on the banner sets. These builds are horrible. Those aren't stickers at all. That's a big cardboard/plastic or something sheet shoved behind the build. More in line with set 4722 than the hogwarts moments books. Come on, a lot of these shapes could easily translate to pieces. The box art would've fooled me. Almost false advertising. At least Sirius his face does in fact appear in the fire place, which is a plus I guess, but meh. No longer a set I want to get multiples of.
  17. That's what the quidditch uniforms look like if you remove the robes. That's also the look they went with in 2011 for the quidditch set.
  18. Oooh, I like a lot of what I'm seeing. The Black Lake is very nostalgic to me. I always felt that, in a way, the old one still held up, kinda similar to the old Shrieking Shrek (upon rereading this I realised my mistake, but refuse to change it now xD). The build looks great, even the orange krab returns (sadly no blue jellyfish, my copy has since ended up in my spongebob collection). Victor Krum is probably the highlight of this set for me, they finally fixed him, just a bit of a shame he has the shark mouth printed on the backside, but that's alright. Also big fan of the Grindylow and Merperson. I can now finally retire the last one of my old Harry Potter sets (didn't have a lot of the old sets, but all of the ones I do own are now updated in a way.) The RoR is mostly fantastic. Finally we get The Grey Lady and even Zabini. The fiendfyre is definitely my favourite part of the set though. We can even use it for a Voldemort vs Dumbledore duel display. I also love the big doors and the messy stacked boxes (that chair design is especially fun). However I also must say I highly prefer the dimensions design of Hermione's outfit, the jacket looks a little bit too bright imo. Also I'm really missing the vanishing cabinet in here and the diadem could really use an update. But luckily those aren't too big of an issue. The house banners, I like parts of them, but they're very rough looking. The minifigure selection is pretty great. Finally a decent way to get quidditch uniforms for all the houses. Just a shame they went with this look and not the ones from 2018 and diagon alley, but honestly I'm just glad to get them at all. The characters are also great, especially happy with Pansy Parkinson. Like wow, the Slytherin house was really lacking in representation up till now. We had Draco, and then Flint and Bole all the way back in 2018. And other than them we had Crabbe and Goyle, but they were like 50% Harry and Ron. The other houses where somehow catching up. For the builds. I really like the 3d images. Especially considering how heavily they will be featured in Hogwarts Legacy (well heavily, they're mature parts of the common rooms at least.) It's also cute how all the hogwarts moments books are represented in the background (minus DATDA which is a physical copy). I think the Gryffindor one is my least favourite though. I like the window and the chess set is alright, just kinda flat. But the stickered stairs aren't doing it for me. I'm also very disappointed by the fireplace, really was hoping for a Sirius Black face. They did it better the previous 2 times. The placing of the Godric Gryffindor portrait is also very unfortunate, you'd almost miss it. Then the chocolate on the wall is an odd choice. And oh noooo, the old brooms are back already D: However it's not too bad, as this set is the one that has the highest chance to be remade eventually, the others are way more important in that regard. The Slytherin one is great. I love the windows looking out into the lake. I think I even spot the eye of the giant squid in the upper left corner. The Snape portrait is somehow hilarious to me. The fireplace is very solid and the Salazar Slytherin portrait is amazing. The only part I dislike is the little build on the left, stairs that lead into what's supposed to be some kind of corridor, very weak build, really doesn't work. The ravenclaw one is fine. It's about what you expect, mostly books. But I feel like they didn't really do the statue justice. Really think that should've been the centre piece of the room, if not a physical build. But for the limitations they had to work with it's fine. Just a bit odd it's the only founder not having a portrait but rather a 3d image of the statue. And as the statue isn't sentient (I think) the only moving part is the background (as far as I can tell.) The hufflepuff common room is very cute. Definitely my second favourite. Love all the plants and barrels. And even Nifflers hiding all around (missed opportunity to include a physical one, will be a while for another chance). Love the Newt picture. Also it has probably the most original looking fire place out of the 4. Only thing that slightly worries me is the portrait of Helga Hufflepuff. I hope it's removable like the other 3d images and not stuck on the background like with the moments books. The banners themselves are my biggest issue though. Unlike the moments books they really don't look too great to display closed. The set would've been so much better if they just focused on the common rooms rather than the banners. But hey, it's lego, it comes with enough stuff to make my own common rooms. In the end it's a great start for 2023, all new stuff, lots of new figures and even creatures. Can't wait to see what the rest of the year will have in store. I do wonder however what the big main castle piece will be. I assume it's still in the 20th anniversary style. I wonder if like the 2018 one this style will also stick around for 3 years, with an update in 2024.
  19. Yes, I was thinking the same thing, that would be perfect for Crookshanks.
  20. Disney just released a new Oswald animation (first in about 95 years) on youtube for Disney 100 years of wonder. Now I really think he'll be part of the cmf.
  21. Oh no I didn't meant the ones from the sets, I meant the one included in the Star Wars Visual Dictionary Updated and Expanded from like 2014 or something.
  22. Hmmm, it was last used in 2017 for Bizarro Superman, a year before the revival. That might indeed be a problem. Oh well, I have an old Harry anyway (although in a rough state xD).
  23. I mostly hope they'll include some of the pre-2018 figures inside this book. I was pretty disappointed when the magical treasury was exclusively about the revived wave of sets, while one of my favourite things about building the magical world was seeing how sets like the castle evolved over time. Would love to see the evolution of Dumbledore for example. A classic Harry as the figure inclusion would also be nice, I mean they did it with star wars a while back, so it could definitely happen.
  24. They didn't even bother to put Goofy in the other two series, I really don't think lego cares too much about leaving the others out again the third time around. Also I think there's a big difference between the disney park (among others) merchandise (with the Platinum outfits) and other merchandise like you can find in regular toy stores. Park merchandise often strikes me as event based. To show off that you've been there at that specific moment, it's a memory more than anything else. Made to be different every other visit. Would lego really waste slots on one-off outfits that would be forgotten after the celebration ends? With promotional items like polybags or comic con stuff maybe, but a cmf series? I feel like the cmf's name is mostly just to tag along the celebration rather than really be part of it, just a name to slab onto the packaging for promotional purposes without really affecting the contents inside too much (with perhaps a few notable exceptions of characters that are justified more into this series than anywhere else. But that would be more of a "Not now then when?" scenario.)
  25. It's not 100% accurate, but it can technically be used for Septima Vector. I mean I doubt they'll give her a new mold so this is the next best thing (as I don't see them using Dumbledore's mold.) Also the new Herbology Professor in Hogwarts Legacy has a similar look. That's a character that would likely get a new mold if ever made, but if not and if it appears with the right colours, it could be used for a good purist figure. Other than that it also works for that one witch in Knockturn Alley who asks Harry if he's lost and who offers him "help".
