That would be a nice feature honestly. One thing that wouldn't make since with this idea is how would they throw Jack, Will, Barbossa etc. into the ship. That ship was the prequel version and all of the characters in the movie would not make since with that time. -

Another thing that I noticed is that we won't be getting a gun/bottom deck simply because there is none. By the way it looks lego is really main it had for me to justify buying this set -

To be honest I was supper happy to see see black pearl. I know when I saw Will there he is starting to look like a fish. I wonder how lego will make him in minifigure form. -

I would love it. But on the picture there is no middle mast. So we have a 95% chance that its going to be the silent mary. I am very interested though how there going to pull this one off. I could see lego doing that for sure GoldenNinja3000. I couldn't see it any other way. -

um is it just me or does the silent mary look weird for a lego set. Like trust me I already know it is the silent mary is the ship were getting. But it looks like were not getting a hull section at all. Also it would have to be flexible. -
Thank you and thanks blackdeathgr as well. Yeah sadly my light is not good at the time being. In my photo area my daylight bulb burned out so I am currently only using a normal yellowish tint bulb. Thank you for the compliments though!

I can probably guarantee you that they will only give you half the cannons you need , the one and only flaw by lego. -

Before anyone shoots down my response just know this is a theory. It just came to my head and it all makes since. What happens if we are all wrong and this is not silent mary or the Flying Dutchman, but instead the Wicked Wench (the Black Pearl). When you look at the blurry photo you kinda see brown as the main color of the ship. When you look at the silent mary and flying Dutchman sets they look at tad bit more grey. Another reason is the fact that the back sail is a triangle sail similar to the black pearl. A theory that backs this up is that the pearl appears in a ton of backstorys in the movie. Just something to think about. -

Wow...im honestly shocked its not the pearl. I feel like it would have sold better. None of the less at least were getting a big ship. Lets hope its a good one -
Your right they are obviously troops of Oleon . No seriously wise though. There is mixed opinions. Some people say that the blue coats are the navy for the British. But most people say they represent the French. But they could mean absolutely nothing and lego just made blue and red coats. Hope it helps!

ÃŽle de rubis! Also known as ruby island! An island 10 miles off shore from England. While trying to capture and in prison the notorious Captain Redbeard a few weeks back they found a map in his coat pocket that had an island that no one ever heard of. Ruby Island, the French set sail into British waters to find and claim the island as their own. When they landed on the shore or this mysterious island their eyes were glittering more than the queens diamonds! Ruby's everywhere! Lieutenant John Oswald was sent off to the island to build and refuge on this mysterious island. Governor Broadside knew for this mission he had to send out his best Lieutenant and that is why he sent out John Oswald. 20170118_191925 by jameswestman, on Flickr 20170118_191956 by jameswestman, on Flickr I wanted to build a small channel type of look with the island here. So I made a little island to make it look like there is a channel approaching the island. With this section here I pretty much just wanted to fill the plate up while making it look really good. 20170118_192033 by jameswestman, on Flickr Here is a good viewing area of the entire mining area. Note with this entire MOC this part is just a small section of the actual island itself . 20170118_192128 by jameswestman, on Flickr On top of Lieutenant John Oswald's house I have a very extravagant fort/lookout post for guards to watch out for pirates and/or the British. There are plenty of weapons on the weapon racks along with two swivel guns on each of the front corners, and with more cannon balls stacked up on the right side. 20170118_192235 by jameswestman, on Flickr Sadly I didn't have enough tile pieces to make up a nice floor so for the time being he lives on grass . The inside I didn't make to crowded on purpose so there would be plenty of room to display minifigures within the house. As you can see there is a stone stove in the corner cooking some more chicken for his family that is currently taking a stroll through the forest. The table consist of three chairs and three gold challis's. On the far stone wall you can kinda see his trophy's. On display he has a diamond trophy for the time when he recaptured Fort Eldorado from the evil British Empire. Then he has the first ruby that was found on the island displayed as well. Next to his dinning room he has a globe of the world proudly displayed mainly for his venturous brother known as James Oswald (Captain of the Imperial Flagship). The far back corner he has a bottle of rum in a ice bucket for a special time. Then the last corner is his work space. He has the map that he found off of Captain Redbeard along with a bottle of ink and quill (you can see this by going to my flicker page ) and a torch to provide light when he needs to work late hours. 20170118_192356 by jameswestman, on Flickr Then a side build that I wanted to make was a stone plated cart that carries the ruby's from there to the ship to take back to France. I used illegal building techniques for the side fences. He is also carrying some extra tools in case if anyone needs them. If you want to see the complete selection of pictures go to my Flicker page, I didn't want to post too many pictures. This is just the beginning of Ruby Island, I want to finish off the island with more beach and maybe even local natives that are getting upset at the French for taking their precious jewels. I hope you enjoyed the tad bit of history behind the island and how the French found it. Thank you for spending time reading and looking at my MOC. Have a good day and comments or questions are always appreciated! I will reply to all questions. Fun Facts: 1. In this section alone there is 126 trans red studs (ruby's) 2. 7 minifigures 3. 4 animals 4. 2 vehicles

Okay this is pointless. Im sorry phred if im going off topic here. Ps: you can delete this if you wish. Its only January im sure we will get more info within two months. Phred is right don't make point less discussion. This is a forum where we would talk about POTC rumors and discuss them. Not a social thread where we talk about our complaints. Trust me we all want some news for the new sets. I have looked at this forum every day hoping for news but you don't have to ask who is here or complain. -

Yeah same here! What do you guys think about the rumored minifigure series for pirates? -
Hello Eurobricks! I am currently interested in buying the new lego Ninjago Dragons Forge (70627). I love the minifigures along with the Buffmillion mech. What I have no interest in is the Fusion Dragon. I am willing to make a trade of something equally in value. Or we can discuss a price you are willing to buy the dragon for. Sadly to save money on my end I will say I will only work with you if you live in the United States, I hope this causes no problems. Thank you for reading this and if you are interested just let me know .

, This is a prototype ship, it was and never will be a final set. This was most likely a first version of the Imperial Flagship. Notice the sets around it. This was clearly taken in 2009. Ship wise...we see brickbeards bounty in the background. When the brick bounty came out most designers said it was a huge improvement to brickbeards bounty and they liked it more. So if this was a recent photo they would have the brick bounty displayed. Another reason is the fact that the cars 2 sets are displayed. If this was recent we might actually be seeing cars 3 sets displayed.and my final reason is the fact that when you look at the build of the pirate ship (the big one) you notice it has a similar build to the Imperial Flagship. Those are my reasons why this pirate ship was a prototype of the Imperial Flagship and not one of the pirates of the Caribbean ships. Hope it helps! -

Nope, this can't be the new ship for many reasons -

With this info its hard to say which ship is guaranteed. It could still be the black pearl because the shark could act as a side animal for kids to play with. But however the shark might be the figurehead of the new ghost ship -

Hey Guys i'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this or not, if not just go ahead and move my question to some place else. My question is does anyone know what material lego uses for there sails. I bet I can find it by just looking but I thought this would be a lot easier. If you do know what material they use can you send me a link to it if they have it on amazon. Every comment is very much appreciated, and I would love to see what you have to say.- 315 replies

I honestly agree with you here! this wave is fantastic! im probably buying every set. yeah sure the prices are a tad high. But ain't that normal for star wars? The way I think of it you are paying once for good quality toys/displays and you get to keep these great figs that lego produces forever! If you honestly don't care much about this wave which I know there is a ton of you, just save your money for the Amazon summer wave to come. Yoda's hut, Darth Vader transformation, rebel hanger! With me buying all of the winter sets along with probably most of the summer ones my wallet is going to be gone. I am just personally glad lego is considering people that don't own these past versions of the sets!
