  1. Some vintage sets from the Train theme made in SR3D: 119 Super Train Set L3B The railway has not been completed. 163 Cargo Wagon L3B Ropes and stickers are missing; the winch is a template. 164 Passenger Wagon L3B
  2. 8051 - Motorbike - Technic download LXF Stickers and decorations missing Shock absorber 2909c03 was not in LDD so I used 41475 which has the same geometry but no metal spring. Appearently parts 74741 and 75348 seem to be exactly alike. Corrugated pipes are unfortunately not yet flexible in LDD so I just put parts 72504 at both edges. If I find a custom solution which looks nicer, I will modify the post. The chain has been placed but not connected, as usual. No other errors I could find.
  3. Finally I could place it too but in a different way. I removed the pins and connected vertically the beam 32140 to the axle; then I rotated the beam round the axle to the maximum angle allowed by the position of the panel 64393. There was no need to write manually the angle increasing by multiples of 0.1 degrees which generally helps difficult alignments. Then the pins could be placed correctly. The file has been updated, but I will try a little bit more to solve the other position errors. Thank you very much for your help!
  4. 8068 - Rescue Helicopter version 2 - TECHNIC LXF Errors: Rings 32187 are not connectable to pins. They were scaffholded in correct position anyway. Hoses 76270 were used in place of Bricklink-mentioned hoses 75c17. They are 136mm long. They are perfect for version 1 but a bit too long for version 2, according to the pictures. Maybe they were meant to be trimmed in real life? I was not able to place the following parts in the model, as there wasn't enough room left from the assembly: - the black beam 32140 near to the wheel that activates the propellor has been replaced with a custom assembly of beams 43857 and 32523. - the black connector 32038 under the propellor has been replaced with a custom assembly of two bushes 6590. - the wheel 6589 in the rudder could not be placed and was left aside. In my opinion these parts might be placed by connecting parts in a different order and using all the gap between parts. I solved a pair of similar cases in this model but could not find a solution for the ones above. Someone may try!
  5. 4416 - Robo Pod - Theme: Creator --- Version 1 and 2 LXF 1 LXF 2 Nice weekend.
  6. 5763 - Dune Hopper - Creator Main model LXF Version 2 LXF Version 3 LXF The V-Belt 85543 obviously cannot be connected. Enjoy.
  7. "Old-fashioned" new parts now available in LDD 4.1.7 made it possible to fix some small issues in the models listed below: 4402 Sea Riders vers 1 here 4402 Sea Riders vers 2 here 4402 Sea Riders vers 3 here 6649 Street sweeper here Pics have not been updated
  8. 3718 - Small café - Theme: Fabuland You can download the file here: L3B LDR The 2x2 tile misses the "cake" decoration. Most parts were found in the last release of the "unofficial parts" database. This one cannot really be made in LDD!
  9. After upgrading to LDD4.1 the following files have been updated thanks to new parts available in EXTENDED mode or because of problems in opening the old file in 4.1: 8420 Street Bike 10210 Imperial flagship (also reported in "Official sets" topic) The details have been explained in each post.
  10. Here you have another one. 10210 Imperial flagship. I don't know if a new topic will be started about files updatedto LDD 4.1. I am searching my files to find any problem and fix it. There are some troubles especially with the Technic theme or other themes which use Technic parts, as models made in LDD 4.0 always miss some parts when you reload them with 4.1.
  11. Nice to know that the problem did not depend on me... Waiting for the new release, then! Thanks!
  12. Dear Sergio, I would like to ask your suggestion about a problem I am facing with the flex tool. I have downloaded version 0.5.6.8 and I never tested that functionality with the previous versions. I am able to build the flexible parts but I actually don't know (and could not guess that from the videos) how to fix them. No matters if tube, ribbed hose or axle. If I right-click on the yellow circle nothing happens. If I press the Spacebar key or the Enter key, which normally works in fixing most parts, the following error message appears to me: I did not report the "Details" window. If necessary I will. Moreover, the D-Caddy does not work when building flex parts, but I am able to manipulate the final edge orientation by using letter keys, as suggested in the tutorial. I tried several times and I also restarted the system, but nothing changed. My OS is XP SP3. I apologize if my problem has already been discussed in the present forum, as I read the old posts very quickly, but nothing was posted since the new version was released. Thank you very much for your help and sincere congratulations for developing such a wonderful soft. Regards Marco
  13. Is it Killer: a Journal of Murder?
  14. 7900 - Heavy Loader - Town LXF The "Support 31x13 Bridge Side", part #55767 was not available in LDD so it was recreated. 392 - Formula 1 - Model or Vintage LXF The original wheels, wheel holders and old Technic bushes were not available and were replaced with similar looking parts. Stickers missing. Have a nice weekend!
  15. 316 - Farm Tractor - Vintage LXF 320 - Two Engine Plane - Vintage LXF Wheels and bricks with holes have been replaced.
  16. I have fixed the lxf files following your tips. Thank you very much. It was interesting to discover that some colours like warm gold are not in the palette and can be achieved like that. I agree the booklets pictures are not so reliable; moreover the chromatic perception we get from what LDD displays on our videos is not the same as in real life and that is disappointing as you try to do something which look like real sets as more as possible. I am aware it depends on the graphic card. On two different computers I see completely different colours. I also think that Creator sets (or Model team etc.) are the most attractive ones as in my opinion the real essence of brickbuilding is to get more or less complex objects from geometrically standard parts like the basic bricks. The number of parts and colours available nowadays is much largen than in the past but modern Creator are not so really different in concept from the ones of 20 or 30 years ago, which is a proof of their neverending creating potentiality.
  17. 3835 - Robo Champ - Board Games LXF 343 - Ferry Boat - Vintage LXF Windows, hinge parts and the baseplate have been replaced with custom assemblies. 7212 - Sky Squad - Creator LXF1 LXF2 LXF3 No errors; just some doubts about the right colour for clear blue parts; I used MdBlue as reported by Peeron, although it looks quite different from the booklet pictures.
  18. 5893 - Offroad Power Version 3 - Creator LXF The hook is unconnected; no rope as it can't be manipulated.
  19. Thank you! And congratulations for you Tractor!
  20. 8420 - Street Bike - Technic LXF UPDATED TO LDD 4.1 - Notes in red UPDATED TO LDD 4.3.8 Brickset 1564.1 Missing parts: 2850 Technic Engine Cylinder Head: Technic tubes were used to reproduce the connections. now available in LDDextended mode 44135 Technic Bionicle Rahkshi Lower Torso Section: replaced with custom assembly. 48912cx1 Technic Flexible Shock Absorber: replaced with custom assembly. 47712 and 47713 (panels): replaced with panels 32527 and 32528, similar but longer, which made it necessary to shift rearwards the exhaust pipes. 44350 and 44351 (panels): replaced with panels 44352 and 44353 which have the same connection but are shorter (lower part of the byke). 32439b Technic Disc 5 x 5 with Notched Disc and Pin: not replaced 51378 Wheel Large Motorcycle: replaced with 88517. 51379 and 51380 Tyres: replaced with 88516. Other notes The cockpit 47844 used as mudguard is definitely too wide for the required assembly; in order to place it anyway I improvised a different assembly, but the mudguard is finally too advanced; it looks more like a crossbike’s one than a superbikes’. Fixed by rotating 1° the hinge connector; anyway the mudguard is not connected to the model. The dimensional issue is still actual. The “Axles 3 with Stud” 6857 could not be inserted properly in the model, because their placing depend on the cardan joint rotation angle, which can be manipulated in real life in any moment; I think it is possible to place them at the beginning, but the instructions introduce them at the end and I had no heart to destroy half model just to place an axle. In a couple of cases it was not possible to get the correct alignment of holes, in other cases the alignment seemed visually exact but the axle or peg didn’t fit it. The alignment tool was generally helpless, sometimes it seemed to work but after “thinking” it failed. That’s why a pair of axles were shortened or trimmed into pieces, and one or two half-pegs were used in place of pegs just for esthetic purpose. That was 90% solved as connections have been greatly improved in 4.1 for the Technic parts. Tha bad side is that when I opened the old file (made in 4.0) several bricks could not be loaded as in the former model they were "forced in" using all the possible gaps. It was impossible to place them in the existing model so it had to be rebuilt in most parts. The frontal cockpit is not decorated.
  21. Some sets from "LIFE ON MARS" theme 1195 - Alien encounter LXF 7300-7308-1414 Double Hover LXF 7301-1413 Rover LXF 7303-1415 Jet Scooter LXF 7310 Mono Jet LXF 7312 T3-Trike LXF The cockpit and its hinge connection have been replaced with new parts The flex hoses have been replaced The belts can't be manipulated or placed in the model therefore they have been left aside. 7313 Red Planet Protector LXF Flex hoses 30527 are not flexible in LDD and have been left aside and replaced with 64230 in the assembly. Support 33089 has been recreated with custom bricks. Propellor housings 30535 have been replaced. All sets miss proper decorations. Hope that 2011 started in the best way for all of you.
  22. The previous post from AndyC reminded me that I made built some sets from the same theme but never posted them. Here are the ones not that seem not to have been posted until now: 1548 - Stena Line - Promotional Set LXF 1575 - FinnJet - Promotional set LXF 1660 - Kronprins Frederik Ferry - Promotional Set LXF All sets miss the decorations. I also built a modified version of 1554 - Sjlia Line Ferry (posted by AndyC), where I simulated the decorations with bricks. You may download it here.
  23. Actually 64651 and 64645 were recreated as single parts but only in the bow; in the stern I had to modify them together in order to connect vertically the plate with holes 2817. The file has been modified with the original 2560 and 47404 parts. Superkalle prateek and Zblj thank you very much.
  24. The more you try to be accurate with details, the bigger fishes escape from your net... Really I would save some time in searching better; no problem, I will update the model and inform the forum asap.
