[MOC] The Grand Review of the Armies
Vliebricker replied to evancelt's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Nice view of this parade! Like the dark blue uniforms. Especially the coat-skirts 🫡👍. Where did you get these from? I can't find those......🤔 -
Fantastic engine, Glenn Holland! Chapeau....🎩🫡👍. And that goes as well for the rest of your rolling stock. Very impressive. I watched the youtube movie of your fleet and noticed your switches. Did you modify them? It seems you have no switch levers but something that looks like a Turntable 2 x 2 Plate?
-
Nice wagons, Scruffulous, I like small wagons and then a load of them on the tracks behind a loc. Like all the details you added 😃👍. Question: what's the use of the yellow marking at the corner of the brown wagon? I noticed these at a number of photographs of the real wagons?

I think, like others, the sand blue looks better. OOOhh, jealous about that....! I'm glad to have a few blue cavalry hats with emblem and kepi's.
-
Well, if that's the pleasure you get from it, oké, what's wrong with that. I like the lay-out you showed here 😃👍. Just continue 😉!

FS E.550 and Vnx806.200 in 1:87 scale
Vliebricker replied to Paperinik77pk's topic in LEGO Train Tech
You've put a lot of effort in these 1:87 scale models, Paperinik77pk, but this scale will never be a playable one. It's too small. Nice though, how you situated it in a little display. 😉👍 -
Nice line-up, Sir E Fullner 😉👍, may we expect more adventurous stories from this frontier 🧐?
-
Nice work Ravelino, especially the natural surroundings of the tower. Beautifully landscaped 😃👍

BREAKING: The Orient Express Train approved in LEGO Ideas
Vliebricker replied to koraldon's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to see in which form this Orient Express Train will appear 🤔👍. I've never liked the Crocodile mainly because I'm not an electric train enthousiast but more a 🚂 and diesel guy. It will cost a fortune, I'm sure about that. But this set will be bought by steamengine and exclusive LEGO-set lovers. Partly as an investment, no doubt. -
Hi there, Sunil766, nice layout you've showed here! And beautiful trainsets too. You mentioned automation with arduino for your bucketlist 🤔, because it's a few steps too far right now. Are you a member of Swissslug (https://www.swisslug.ch/)? If not JOIN them! They must have some members who are familiar with arduino, I'm sure. Otherwise I can address you to some specialists in our LowLUG (🇳🇱). What are your plans with the layout? I can seen it's on the flour of your livingroom....? Just riding a couple of trains or build a complete railway scene. You have American trains running now. There are magnificent train MOCs for a number of American railroad diesel engines. Building these is fun too 😃👍. And some surroundings as factory, industry, brewing activities, you name it, gives the trains running a purpose. I like the trainshed, but its more of a tunnel than a workshop, isn't it? I'm curious for more about your layout! Keep up the good work......🚂🚋🚋🚋🚋

Wonderful build, Ayrlego, you really caught the wilderness atmosphere here. Nice details, especially the trees and planting. Also your porch looks wonderfully detailed. 😃👍 I agree with you that Brickarms has nice detailed bits to use with these mocs. 🫡👍

[MOC] Glendalough Monastic Settlement
Vliebricker replied to JanetVanD's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Wow, JanetVanD, this really is a very beautiful piece of Ireland that you've made here! One can feel the medieval atmosphere here en you can almost hear the monks sing their Gregorian chant. It is a good inspiration for my medieval monastry, that has to come yet 🤪.- 13 replies

[MOC] Lost on the bazaar at sunset (updated)
Vliebricker replied to the Inventor's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Hi there, Ids, nice to meet you here as well.......😉👍 -
Wow, Lasse, great building art! You actually built 3 different buildings or were the last 2 photographed and modified? But nevertheless they all are very beautiful and very recognizable. 😉👍
-
Hi there Servertijd, great building indeed! How does the inside of this building look like? And I fully agree with MAB about the availability of roman minifig parts as well as their equipment.
-
Ha, ha, I thought so! Nice idea, I'll see if I can find a useful 3d-file for such a canon to print it myself.
-
Hi, Evancelt, nice skirmish scene you've created! Especially like the way you fire the artillery piece! Btw, is that a 3D printed canon or an original piece?
-
Hi there, Shroffy123, what great army you have. I particularly like your cavalry squadrons, as a former cavalry officer 😉👍. Question: do you actually use all these figures in your MOC-stories? I'm curious about that 🤔. 🫡👍 Nice to see your army here as well, Ravelino......😉👍

Cool piece of art, could be a painting of a western scene. Though, for me, a little bit too yellow in the leaves.... I hope those horsies know where they have to go, so without reins 😂😉👍
-
That's certainly a fact. In LOWLUG (Netherlands) we also use the MILS standard for the train layouts at our meetings.
-
Nice work, Evancelt, in what period is your project located? 1800-1850's? As I see your steam locomotive, it looks a lot like the ones used by the Hollandsche IJzeren Spoorweg-Maatschappij (Dutch Iron Railway Company) around 1839. These were based on the Patentee, a locomotive type designed and patented by Robert Stephenson and Company in 1833. And challenging to build it in MILLS 😃👍. You've used a lot of 1x4 tiles with woodprint as railway sleepers. But for the 1x1's as sleeper ends you use the normal reddish brown. I think it looks better when you use reddish brown for all (and easier and cheaper to get too 😉). What is the idea for the look of your layout? A village with station European style or maybe Western style? Countryside? I'm really looking forward for more.......🚂🚋🚋👍

[GBW] - Free Build - Roskilde - 5th Duke of Telson Lancers
Vliebricker replied to Scorcher43's topic in The Great Brick War
Oké 👍, I had seen that, but thought it was some kind of truck. Bushmaster has quite a high profil, isn't it? And a kind of battlefield taxi 🤪 for a squad. But it can stand some IED blast. Looking forward to see the rest of your story..... (as a retired cavalry man 🫡 )
